Introduction:
After I read Phantom Blood, I was definelty ineterested in checking out Battle Tendency but I was worried it wouldn't be as good as I expected it to be due to how average Phantom Blood felt. But I'm happy to say that Battle Tendency blew away my expectations.

Story:
When you read this part the story, the seems rather simple. But just like with any other JoJo part, you sound like a madman trying to explain it. I don't wanna spoil anything but I'll say this, the story is solid without being very complex.

Art:
The art definetly did improve from Phantom Blood. While Araki still uses the same ... art style, his proportions are more consistent and less wacky (I don't mean wacjy in a good way). The volume covers are also eally nice.

Character:
The main character in Battle Tendency is the grandson of Jonathan, joseph Joestar. Joseph Joestar is arguably my favorite main character in all of anime, he's probably the funniest main character I've ever seen in a manga. The villains were also really solid since there only like 4 so Araki could focus more on them. Santana is cool and a great indtroduction to the Pillar Men, Esidisi is a great fight which demonstrates Joseph's Hamon abilties very well, Wamuu is likable and has two amazing fights & Kars is a solid main villain with a great backstory. The supporting cast is nothing special but still solid.

Enjoyment:
I'm not gonna say much but the comedy in this part is amazing. I do admit though that Joseph Joestar is not for everyone but I enjoyed the hell out of his jokes.

This part is without a doubt way better than Phantom Blood due to Battle Tendency's tendency to joke around.

Introduction:
You can tell that Araki wasn't a very experienced Mangaka. I could've easilty dropped this manga completely but I'm glad I didn't, this manga wasn't bad but it had so many flaws.

Story:
This is probably the best thing about this part, the story. While the story is really simple compared to other parts, the story is still a little "bizarre". The story does everything it needs to do pretty good but I do have two problems, it wasn't unique enough and it manages to start getting a little boring even though this is by far the shortest JoJo part.

Art:
I don't have a lot to say about ... the art. Araki is an amazing artist but he hadn't really delevoped his own art-style. This manga uses the classic 80's "buff guy" art-style and sometimes the art feels a little wieird and not in a good way but it usually holds up.

Character:
This is my biggest problem with Phantom Blood. There were a few characters who were always fun to see and read about but there was not a single charcter that felt fleshed out.

Not a lot to say here, Phantom Blood sometimes felt a little boring and slow but the fights were pretty good.
