I'll be quick about it. At first I absolutely adored the the show and thought the music was great. Then, (because I watched it on Netflix and not all the show came out) I realized that it got SAO'd. What do I mean by that? Well like SAO the first half was great, one could even say I loved it. And then when the second half came out, it was kinda lack luster and the plot got a little asinine and the ending anticlimactic (just like SAO!) The music in the second half was still good but isn't as good as the first half.

I found Ousama Game to be quite entertaining. It's not a brand new idea, like it's truly your run of the mill "Follow my instructions or else", "We have to find the bad guy" kind of stories, but it was executed well enough to keep me wondering "Who is Ousama?" The art was well done and wasn't overtly gory like I know these kinds of ideas can be; All in all it was quite tastefully done. Each character was fleshed out enough that I actually cared about some of them and the others I wished would die. Overall I enjoyed this series to the point ... that I couldn't put it down and I would really recommend this if murder mystery is your thing.

Ok, so I'm gonna try not to dump on this anime too hard seeing how it's just an ONA.

Story 4/10

This had so much potential but the way they executed it was weird. It had an interesting enough concept, but the transitions weren't very smooth and it was hard to keep track of what was going on. The synopsis does a better job explaining the anime than the actual anime. There were definitely times where I went "This scene isn't too bad. Too bad I don't know what's happening..."

Art 5/10

It wasn't spectacular and it wasn't terrible. It was everything I expected from an anime that ... came out in the early 2000's.

Characters 5/10

As surface level characters they were just ok. Aside from the the main antagonist, you don't really get a backstory/motive. All the characters were just there and it was hard to feel bad for any of them when something bad happened. They also were bad about introducing characters in general, you don't know the mains too well or even what their job is on the ship, and whenever they introduced a support character, it wouldn't be until the next couple episodes that you kinda had an idea of who they were.

Overall, it could've been better. I wanted a little more than what I got out of it. Maybe if they had more money and gained a little more popularity, it could've reached a level of it's good but is easily forgotten about like Earth Girl Arjuna or Giovanni's Island. Would I recommend this? Only if you absolutely had nothing better to watch or despite the poor reviews, you wanted to watch it anyway (like me), otherwise don't waste your time (also like me ^^*).

Listen guys, I'm about to save you a whole lot of time here. Let me start by saying that I absolutely love this series. I don't care that it's repetitive in a sense of same theme different characters, I think it's a great series on a whole. This season starts off like that and gives you a slight 3rd season vibe where they introduce a new character and hell girl backstory subplot. All in all, this part was definitely interesting and I was really excited to see where they were gonna go with this.

*Spoilers* (kind of)

Unfortunately this new plot lasts for about 6 episodes. It ... was resolved quickly and half-assedly (for lack of a better term), and then they said, "You know what was great? That time we did that thing from past season." And from then on they lost me. I may like repetitive themes but I do not like recap episodes, they are actually a waste of time.

So if you don't want to waste your time, I wouldn't recommend watching the whole thing. Watch up to episode 6 and then say you've watched the whole thing because technically you did. There's no shame in only watching the good parts of an anime. (Here's looking at you SAO.)

I watched out of curiosity, wondering how a music video could've had such a low rating score. I've come to the conclusion that it's score is probably due to not a whole bunch of people watching it. The video itself isn't that detailed, it's just the same reel of cats repeating throughout the song. The song however is one of the catchiest things I've ever heard. I give it a 5 because it isn't the best thing I've seen but it certainly wasn't the worst; just don't watch it under the influence. Although I've been somewhat entertained by this, after a minute in it gets ... weird. I promise, you'll thank me.
