This is a very original concept for this type of Isekai we've been seeing more and more in the last 2-3 years. The Otome game reincarnation. We've seen the otaku teenage boy, the good student girl who love Otome. And it's already the role of the hero or vilain.
Here we go again, but this time the twist it's that it's and old 50yo salary man with kids that gets Isekai'd into a Otome his kids play and he kind of know the story from when he gets back home and sees his kid play it on the console in the living room.
...
While this could be by itself enough, I think what makes this anime even better is that the whole monologue/self narration this Vilainess character he's reincarnated into, he's speaking as old man and it makes the transitions, the comedy and the story much more captivating and fun to watch.
I would say this gets my Gold star for surprise of Winter 2024 Isekai anime for sure. Thought it would be an old loser who's just obsessed with gaming , but nope. He's a bald old 50yo dad, with a dad bod and all and he's got Isekai'd!

This anime can be compare to - I dare to say - a new-ish category which has been popping off on the Isekai type of story where the MC is just a chill guy with a virtual online shop. This will feel like a "Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill" and while both MC looks similar, and there's some minor overlapping themes, this got me interested because of some other newer development in the serie that will be a spoiler - hence not divulging it - that makes this from super bland, chill and not more than a copycat to its own
...
thing.
I would say there's a more adult component to the anime that makes this rather refreshing. While the Harem component starts to develop, the MC doesn't become flustered or weird. He's definitely confident and intelligent.
I will say, the only thing that triggers me and annoys me is the fact the author has no clue of what things cost. He's OMEGA Clueless and it's kind of annoying to see how clueless he is. you'll see a list of Items he bought on his online shop in Yen than you're like, OK I'm not Japanese, but this is the only non-spoiler-spoiler ; Buys a bed, wooden bed frame 15,999 Yen - Blanket Sheets: 5,999 Yen. So far so good... Mattress: 7,999 Yen ? Bro! Ain't no way. Even the cheap ones on Ikea would be at least 10,000-15,000 Yen. It also looks like a comfy one too! They even mention this is After sales tax pricing, which I find kind of funny to address he's paying sales tax on a virtual online shop!
I think you should give it a try, it's a comfy anime!

For this review, I will address some minor component of the anime but will not spoil or go in detail of the story. I will address some of the tropes that I'm not a fan of. I don't feel it should require the Spoiler Tag.
Some little trigger alert right off the bat, it starts with MC (Ein) who hates his useless Apraisal Skill and basically jumps in a huge bottomless hole. Thinking for the better part of the Ep.1 that somehow it end or start as a suicide? (ya' question mark for sure here!!)
Then we start and see what happened, how he got the
...
cliché dumped, abused, and left for dead by their bosses - a couple of opportunistic a-hole. DA CLASSIC! I don't think this is a spoiler as it pertain to like at least 40-50% of all Isekai.
The Harem component of most bad Isekai comes from the over the top infatuation MC has from some brand new people with no next to no reason for it to be. That's pretty much dumped in the last minutes of an episode where some other cliché are poured out.
Ursula, the Guardian of Yggdrasil is a mother figure to Yuri one of the Yggdrasil tree incarnation. The dynamic of the Sensei/Student combined with the overprotective Mother of her innocent cute daughter plays very well, and is well built at the first couple of episode. It's only by Episode 3 I saw the most - and for the right reasons - all the negative attention, as explained on previous paragraph.
Couple of Element that may trigger some of the Harem enjoyers - That's some potential bisexual content which is the first time I saw that. I wasn't phased by that. However one of the Harem side character's name - who's a Princess - is Gayta Neega ... Ya... they went there. Maybe the writer has zero knowledge of the English language or how that it sounds in English when you say it out loud, but that was pretty much a big, Oh Hell No! for me.

There's 3 big trigger warning on this anime.
1) Lot of SA allegation/attempt by by guys (all antagonists are r-pist. It's that bad). The only bad guy who doesn't care about that is a psychopath narcissist.
2) CGI to the point where it feels like it's half done by AI assist with some questionable usage of CGI
3) In this anime, every female protagonist is portrayed as a badass that's ultimately either a complete bitch or a bimbo with a heart.
So the main story line is about the MC taking revenge from being isekai-ed without his will and where's he's suppose to be a hero, because he's got
...
a F-Class potential all his classmate with higher potential are more than happy to let him die.
Those polite rich japanese kids goes from ok classmate to absolute sociopath in 3 seconds. The absence of character development or concept of why that class is specially nutty and crazy is barely explained. Right from the beginning the classic "classism" where the nobles life is more important than the lesser class.
Now I'm interested in the concept of this growing to become like your average social experiment, the psychological fantasy thriller / horror could be with theme very adult and also extremely grim, but it's instead presented as this revenge for the act of revenge anime. The protagonist and his allies are all wronged by the rich noble of this society with a corrupt god like "Saint" that act as the main antagonist could have been a pretty compelling story if it wasn't from the story falling into unoriginal tropes that lacks any form of development.
I love anime with great deal of violence but for the sake of the plot and not just for the gratuity of it. This falls in the latter category.
Some positive, while the CGI omnipresent is very annoying sometime, in other hands it does sometime add some depth to the graphic in a scene. the actions scenes are pretty well animated, the monsters arts is phenomenal. So it's not always unpleasant to watch!

This is the female equivalent of Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...
While for the most part of the first half of the Anime, it's pretty clear where this is going, what's going to happen. It's nothing like My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!
As the protagonist is a very calm and collected OP character from the very beginning, it become clear what this is a 12 episodes run.
The whole season the theme are of course about the injustices or social classes and how some people tends to be closed minded when they meet
...
somebody different. How scary it is for people to get in front of their own weakness when in front of this OP character.
This was evident from the get go. The issue is the tone is rather bland and lacking some excitement. The evolution of the character into the inevitable friendship is immediately followed up by a End of Serie, low quality series of still images with some CGI effect to demonstrate this battle is tough. Them... the Demon Lord is super weak compare to the MC and the battled ends in 7 minutes. Followed by a 6 minutes ending with a resemblance of a cliffhanger that is solved right away.
I wanted something good. By Episode 10 I was losing hope of some actual potential for a end of season one cliffhanger with a fun twist. Anything but the supremely monotonous MC
As some have addressed, if you're new to the Isekai style, you're not blinded by overwatching it and have limited time. I feel this is a quick, basic level of a Isekai that may tickle your fancies
