Going into a movie of only 46 minutes, I wasn't really sure what to expect. Happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised and glad I took the time to enjoy this work of art.
The visuals were captivating to put it lightly. Watching the natural scenery with how vibrant the colours were and the way they incorporated depth perception gave it a majestic and relaxing atmosphere. Truly an immersive experience watching for the first time, like walking through the garden yourself, witnessing the beautiful scenery in person.
The dialogue fit perfectly with the movie. It was powerful enough to convey its message without being too convoluted

or drawn out. You could almost feel the emotions of the characters through the dialogue, as if they were conversing with you through the screen.
The music really sets the mood for the film. The piano in the background is subtle enough not to detract from the scenes but still noticeable that it adds that extra oomph, for lack of a better word. Coupled with the crescendo at the end as the drums come in with the guitars and other instruments while rain dies down and the sun comes out, really puts it over the top.
What did detract from the movie, for me at least, was the age gap. 12 years is a pretty substantial gap for 2 individuals. Also, it did end up feeling slightly rushed as the story was told from the perspective of Takao and 46 minutes isn't a lot of time to provide adequate characterization. We barely learn anything about Yukino other than her being a teacher at his high school and some rumor being spread about her causing her to leave. Her character should've been fleshed out more on screen rather than a small amount of exposition.
With all that being said, I strongly recommend watching, as it's quite the experience.
