While it doesn't have many chapters yet, I'm kind of mad at how supremely underrated this manga is.

Story: 9/10
From the outset, Wondance may seem like a conventional shounen-style sports manga, but at its root is a wholesome story about a quiet insecure kid who finds a way of self-expression and sense of belonging through dance.

Characters: 9.5/10
Perhaps what distinguishes Kabo the most from your typical sports manga protagonist is his debilitating stutter which makes him feel inferior and insecure and unable to express himself properly. In the beginning he wanted nothing more than to fit in and be normal among his peers but this ... changes when he realizes he could express himself without words through dance. Kabo's weaknesses and insecurities make him such a relatable and understandable character that really resonated with me which makes it all the more satisfying and inspirational when he grows into his own skin and finds confidence.
Aside from Kabo, Wanda is another great character who you can't not love, a cute, free-spirited girl who's not afraid to be different. And while we don't really understand her character as much as Kabo at this point, I'm looking forward to her as well as other characters' development.

Art: 10/10
The art is phenomenal. The way the author draws movement in a dynamic and expressive way is just breathtaking and still manages to capture your imagination despite the lack of actual movement and music in its manga format. The character designs are good-looking, sleek and stylish. There are a lot of cute girls but major props to the author for not over-sexualizing them and not including any gratuitous ecchi fan service.

Enjoyment: 10/10
I enjoy this one quite a lot as I enjoy most sports manga. But even if you're not interested in hip hop dance, you won't be bored by the dance scenes because they are a feast for the eyes.

I can't recommend this series enough. It's a cool stylish manga and with a lot of pop-cultural references relevant to today's younger generation, but at its heart is a story about finding your identity and self-acceptance and that's what makes it so special.

A dark, gothic Victorian fantasy story that explores the different facets of humanity and blurs the duality of good and evil. How this manhwa is not more well-known is frankly criminal. This is one of the most sophisticated and beautifully written manhwa I've ever read with its complex characterization, heavy thematic messaging and deep introspective meaning. It portrays the nuances of love and family, revenge and betrayal, the loss of innocence and the best and worst of human nature.

Story - 10/10
Well-paced with carefully crafted storylines and interweaving flashbacks. The writer really takes her time to set up all the elements and building to the ... mystery and then pays them off beautifully. It's a haunting, mature, emotional and occasionally tragic journey deep in literary meaning and thematic resonance.

Art - 10/10
The art is amazing and just really, really pretty. There's not much else to say about this.

Character - 10/10
One of the areas where this series really shines. The characters are incredibly well-developed, incredibly complex, deeply flawed and yet utterly human and understandable. This series does not shy in making its characters fall in grace or suffer horribly. There are no black-and-white characters. No straight-laced heroes and no definite villains. And none are more intriguing than Rose, who IMO, is one of the most compelling and multifaceted female characters I've ever seen in a manhwa/manga. As the story goes on you will discover a new side of her layer by layer shedding more light as to why she is the way she is. The side characters don't in any way fall short either. Each one is excellently developed and the multiple POVs only enrich the story and add to the narrative complexity, blurring the distinction between the heroes and the villains.

Enjoyment - 10/10
Although it can be a bit heavy, I wasn't at all bored once. It's an engrossing story that is truly binge-worthy with constant twists and turns that will leave you breathless.

In a sea of generic isekais with the same recycled plots, this manhwa stands out as a rare gem among gems. I can't recommend it enough.

I don’t know why so many people are gushing over this series thinking it’s original or unique. There is NOTHING original about this isekai. Actually, this is probably the most unoriginal an isekai can get, which is really saying a lot for an isekai. If you’re familiar with the shoujo genre then you’d know there are WAY too many of these manga/light novel with the EXACT same story with the exact same plot and the exact same characters. MC gets reincarnated as the villainess of an otome game and they have to escape from the bad routes. It always starts when they are children and ... there is usually a catalyst for them to remember their past lives (eg. injury or illness). They are always the fiancee of the main guy who obviously likes them even though they’re too dense to realize, and at some point they enroll in a magic school and meet the actual “heroine". These stories are so lazy they don't even try to be different. It is ridiculous how unoriginal yet prolific these types of stories are but since this is the first of them that got an anime it’s understandable why everyone thinks it’s so novel.

Look, I get its appeal because it is quite a fun and light guilty pleasure (which is why I am a closet fan of shoujo manga). But that’s all it is, and there’s no way it deserves this high of a rating. Trust me when another one or two of these isekai get an anime adaptation people are going to see how terrible they actually are.
