This is quite different from most vampire romance plots out there. It is much less predictable than you might expect and really well build throughout.
The writer did an amazing job at building the story and presenting it, considering the chain of events, with little to no gaps in the logic. It's got a bit of a mystery-thriller-psychological feel to it, which makes the story very dark and heavy at times.
