Reading the manga compared to the anime actually made this series feel a lot worse because of the weird things the author kept showing, such as child nudity and bodily fluids. You really start to notice these things and how most of the comic relief is... awkward sexual moments with the kids. Or at least body related things. If you can look past that there's still a lot of things that bugged me about the story itself that no one really mentions. As I read on I noticed it became more focused on shocking the readers without any real reason, for example they'd hit you
...
with something messed up and it would always find some way to relate somehow in another messed up way. Just one "shocking" thing after another, always body horror related or leading up to something body horror related. It feels unnecessary a lot of times when the base of this story has a lot of potential. The recent arc (up to chapter 54) feels a lot like filler with the main goal lost and it really serves no purpose other than to give more shock material. Honestly if I wanted to read about body horror I'd just go read something by Junji Ito. It feels like that in the recent chapters sometimes but with kids and crazy emotions mixed in. There are many attempts to get feelings out of you for these kids and the horrible things that happen but a lot of it comes from them being kids and not actual character we care about. It was sad to see those parts yes but its definitely not that deep since it just gets more and more horrific. They hit you with too many emotional scenes and not enough build up to balance.
The art is nice yes, but it's really not enough to justify the rest of this manga. It is unique but it isn't a big factor for me in deciding what makes manga better or worse. Sometimes it was a bit hard to tell what was being drawn but its still very detailed and nice to look at.
I did find it interesting to see what was happening and to learn about the abyss but it definitely drags on a bit later and over time you just kind of expect it to be messed up all the same.
The main characters are likable in how they have their own passion and love for each other, but I found a lot of problems with Riko especially. The decisions she makes are questionable and she really would be hopeless without the other two. It's like she gets into these difficult situations without knowing the consequences...even though it's pretty clear they are bad. She cannot sit still for even a second before getting into trouble again. Nanachi and Reg are the only characters I dont have much problem with because they do have some depth to them and they make logical decisions. I dont have a problem with the side characters either, its just that none of them are really given more depth. A lot of them are barely shown at all after being introduced (trying not to spoil).
Overall I dont really get why everyone likes this so much, maybe its the creative ways to twist kids around and make things as gross as possible that hooks everyone. Maybe the emotional rollercoaster that just keeps going but never really hits. I would maybe understand their thoughts if they only read up to around where the anime stopped but that just shows how downhill it goes. It is interesting to go through but Im not really sure if I could say this was an enjoyable read with all these flaws. It does have its moments where you want to find out what happens next and it keeps you going until you realize that nothing really changes with the characters and the story just drags to shock you.

I finished this entire thing in thirteen days which is super rare for me considering how long it takes for me to finish longer manga. I honestly didnt know I would like it this much in the beginning but i slowly realized how much I did. The story is basically super funny with a uniqueness to it that I've never read before. We've all heard of yakuza mangas but this one was just executed so well. Even though the basic plotlines are a bit similar, it doesn't get old and manages to keep you reading until you get tired or until it's finished. The art
...
was not the best I've seen but it isn't bad either. It IS a comedy so it makes sense that the art isn't super detailed. It fits well with the yakuza theme too. The characters are probably one of the best parts of this whole thing because there are so many yet very few are dislikable despite being flat characters. What I mean is that some don't stand out as much, which is expected, but they still fit well in the story and it all works out. The main character is obviously the best and throughout I just loved how she managed to do everything herself without much help. I dont know why but I really like characters in manga that are op af. There is a lot of character development which is good to see as well. My enjoyment for this is obviously a 10 because of how the content and characters never got old even after so many chapters. There was always something making me laugh and cheer inside for the main character.
Overall, although my ship didn't work out, I love this manga and will definitely reread it sometime later.
One more thing, in the extra chapters after the ending it felt like the romance was rushed and the characters suddenly became all lovey. Not really into that but I mean it's still worth the 10/10 overall.

Seishun otome banchou became one of those mangas that really helped me discover what I like and it was one of the first ones where I just enjoyed the entire thing.
The story is a concept that has obviously been used before. It isn't common but I've seen it in other mangas, except, no manga I have read executed it as well as this. The comedy is there, the uniqueness is there, it's heavily influenced by the main character in how the story thrives so I'll talk about that later. I really enjoy shoujo manga in general and the way they made it so it
...
wasn't cliche or excessive was great. Only problem might've been the way it flows, the comedy dismissed a conflict between characters that i would've liked to see resolved more in depth but it's all good.
The art was great, adjusted to funny tones, serious tones, and it was detailed nicely. There's a lot of expression and definitely gets the atmospheres right.
The characters were probably the strongest part about this. The main character is strong, very likable and funny to watch. I haven't seen any character like her yet and I really like how she knows what she needs to change and what she doesn't. The love interest helps her with that as he isn't as dynamic but still interesting in ways. He looks cool but still cant match up to the MC lol. He likes her the way she is and is mostly unproblematic. The characters definitely added the flare.
I enjoyed this VERY much just because it was so funny and made me instantly like the characters. Each chapter was enjoyable and I really wish it was longer. Overall this manga is definitely worth it if you like strong leads in shoujo manga that you normally wouldnt see. It's short so if you just want something quick and funny, read it. I feel like this manga really depends on your preference but for me it was basically everything i wanted.

I have read up to chapter 75 and it seems like the ending but I could be wrong. Still I want to get this review out of the way.
The story starts slow and very simple, typical shoujo manga. The story really just goes in its own direction with not a lot besides relationships progressing throughout as well as rivalry. There are some comedy areas and some frustrating moments which I will get to but overall it was enjoyable yet could have been more in depth. Near the end it was really rushed and it added parts that were just unnecessary like love triangles that
...
just faded out. It started getting faster paced compared to the main story and I would not have a problem with it IF they did that from the start and kept a consistent pace.
The art was very pretty and light, it was calming and switched between sweet to comedic to sad moments but most of the time stayed light and nice.
The characters were all sort of different and had that one trait that defined them. Although they were different not a lot of them have good depth. I don't really have much to say about these characters but at least they did get some development eventually. None of them were dislikeable except for maybe one character near the end.
I enjoyed this manga at the beginning and at the end. The middle progression was okay too but not as interesting. I did find myself going through this manga pretty fast though.
Overall this manga is worth reading especially if you like shoujo mangas with no main love triangle and shoujos with a light feel throughout that does actually make you somewhat happy in the end.

I have been waiting so long for nother Key anime and I was not disappointed but I did think it could've been better. The story has an interesting concept but as it progresses it isn't exactly the best and most thought out. The creator maybe could have added more to it and paced it better instead of suddenly revealing its major twist just like that. Sure it had few hints at where it was going but it ended up feeling very short and simple. It's really a matter of preference and I usually like the more crazy storylines instead of the short and sweet ones.
The
...
art was amazing in my opinion, the scenery looked as realistic as anime can get and I don't know why but I just like the way the characters are illustrated.
The music fit with the anime moments most of the time and although it didn't really help with moods or give a lot of atmosphere, it was nice to listen to in the moments where there were transitions.
The characters were nice and unique but the main character seemed too cliche. It focused too much on the MC and didn't give a lot of depth to many of the other characters probably due to how short this anime is. I didn't really dislike any of the characters in particular but there wasn't a lot to like either.
This anime was very enjoyable besides the negative stuff and I found myself anticipating the next episode. There were some really funny moments and I wanted to see what would happen next.
Overall the anime is another great Key anime and any Key fan should watch Charlotte. Good for drama, supernatural and action fans.

Now that this manga's finished, I can write a proper review.
The story was great. It's unique and reels you in by how it is told and executed. It had build up although I just think that maybe it was enough and maybe it could have added more to it. The moods changed and actually made you maybe laugh or cry a little inside. Anyway, it was thought out and the ending satisfies although it's only just enough.
Art was 10/10, I like this kind of art for shoujos, detailed and pretty. It's light and happy which fits the mood and it matches perfectly.
The characters were all
...
great and funny or nice in some way. They all had some depth to them but of course it could have been deeper maybe since it mostly focused on the story. I didn't dislike any of the characters and they all worked as a team which made me like them even more.
I enjoyed this manga way too much I think. I kept reading and reading and everything just seemed to fit together. The concept seemed so simple yet it was so enjoyable. I didn't know if I liked it a lot at first but after thinking about it, it was actually something that fit my preferences. I would probably end up rereading this a lot ^_^
Overall this manga is 9/10, very close to a 10 but it did lack some build up etc. I feel like my score might go up over time though the more I think about it...
I recommend everyone read this unless you strongly dislike shoujo, romance and drama. I'd say it's one of the best shoujo manga I've read so far, and I've read a lot.

It took me awhile to finish and I did have to reread the beginning but once I got into it, I kept wanting to finish it.
The story I thought was simple at first and I thought they would just solve it and it would be over. Of course, there were actually so many things happening and once you put it all together and figure it out, it is pretty elaborate. I got pretty confused at some parts because it did go pretty fast with its story and it was subtle in telling its plot points although thankfully not all the time. I think the
...
story should've been the strongest point because of how detailed it became but it took awhile for all the questions to be answered which made it feel all over the place.
Now, the art was great too and it kept the feel of dark and light at the same time. Even though it was nice, it sometimes became hard to understand as well because of all the stuff happening. It captured reactions well and emphasis points but action parts were a little hard sometimes.
The characters were detailed and had a lot of back story but the only problem was that I couldn't figure out if they were good or bad sometimes. This was probably one of the big confusing parts because I couldn't understand their actions and what they planned to do, which I guess some would say is a good thing but this time it just made it more confusing. Still even though they were confusing they all had some depth to them even side characters.
Although this manga was pretty good, it was hard to keep reading after awhile because the chapters were so long and there was so much information at once. The ending was also pretty crazy which I say is the most confusing part. I still enjoyed reading it but there were parts that just got me bored as well. It really got interesting about half way through or after but the beginning was just hard to start.
Over all I give Pandora Hearts an eight when adding everything up. I do recommend this for people who like sad dramas, mild horror, action, fantasy and deep stories that take awhile to process. If you decide to read this, it's worth it.

Wow where to start with this manga...
It really opens your eyes to the lives that some deaf people actually have to live through although I think this story was just slightly exaggerated. The story was new to me and to me it captured a sort of mixed message about people and outcomes of seemingly harmless actions. It kept me reading by how I actually wanted to see how their lives ended up after going through what they went through. Lots of drama and a bit of romance mixed in.
The art was not light but it was not dark either. It seemed more realistic and dramatic
...
than other manga which made it stand out. It showed the characters and their feeings very well and it matched the mood perfectly. Even so, I give it an 8 because sometimes there were a lot of things happening at once and sometimes it was a little too dramatic. I guess you could also say I have my own preference for manga styles.
The characters were all unique in some way although sometimes it would be a little excessive. Their actions wouldn't always make sense to me and I often questioned what they were thinking when they did what they did. It felt like some of the characters only had a single trait each which did progress the plot but still made me skeptical of the characters intentions. It doesn't seem like much of the supporting characters became developed but again I couldn't tell even at the end.
The enjoyment was still very good as whole because of the crazy characters and then the unique story...it made me read even late at night. I really did not know what could've happened at the end and it made me want to know.
Overall this manga is great for fans of drama and lots of sadness dealing with bullying, suicide, friendship and love. May even give you a new perspective on things. Try it out.

I originally thought this anime was good but I didn't expect it to turn out the way it did. It is probably one of my favorite magic animes even if it doesn't look like it from a glance.
The story is entertaining and I still don't know any other anime like it. Even though it's only 12 episodes or so, it feels full length and just gets you to keep watching. I think I finished this in a day because it just wraps you up in the story. People judge this anime by its cover way too much(although I don't think this anime is 17+ as
...
it says on the anime page). It makes you think about the world as if there were magical girls that existed and it doesn't exaggerate.
The art was kind of bland and only really stood out in the battles. My friends would even say the art was too bad to watch as an excuse to stay away but I don't really judge things based on graphics especially since this anime still got the crazy moods down with other parts of the anime.
The sound was great because it really stood out but this time in a good way. It emphasized the moments and the opening/ending songs are just too catchy. The moods went from nice to dark and so on, completely matching with the background music. The only problem is the English dub which you should probably stay away from. Its music creates most of the atmosphere.
The characters were pretty interesting too and helped progress through the story. They all had different things to say and I didn't dislike any of them(although I did like some more than others). They did get back stories but I feel like they didn't all get a lot of depth. Maybe if the anime was longer it could've achieved that.
I enjoyed this a lot except for the ending which kind of threw me off for awhile. Besides that, everything just came together and I enjoyed all of it. With the battles, music, story...it kept me hooked.
Overall this anime is great and I'm not sure whether it is underrated or overrated but it's still just great in my opinion. I recommend this to anyone who likes dark fantasies and lots of action/drama.

To start, the anime here is the perfect romcom with a lot of drama that unfortunately didn't fix itself that much in the end. The story was good in the first few episodes but at around the fifth, everything just flipped. They just switched the mood completely from then on out it was like all happy and normal then they would suddenly do something crazy to create conflict. It was interesting and sad at some points but the writers just sort of pushed things along without much transition.
The art is basic, very detailed and helps with the mood swings going on in this anime.
...
It changed with different atmospheres like in the comic relief scenes and over dramatic scenes.
The sound is good but sometimes a bit too over the top and it stood out too much in gloomy scenes. There was one where the piano was playing and it didn't really match up with the scene, I don't know if that would be a problem for most of you but it just didn't work sometimes. The opening and ending songs were worthy of listening to although the second ending kind of ruins the end of the episode if the episode was surprisingly sad or something(again with the mood changes). Also with the first opening, you can kind of tell what is going to happen already so it didn't surprise me.
Now, the characters were sort of the bump here. The supporting characters were fine and I actually liked them but the main ones, Koko and Banri were not as strong. I couldn't tell whether I liked Koko or not because she would be really two-faced and sometimes annoying but sometimes reasonable. Banri was just all over the place fighting with himself and I really ended up hating him a lot. Not sure why he was so annoying but sometimes it was just too much.
I enjoyed this anime a lot because it was still funny, interesting and sad in a good way despite the flaws with this anime. It was really confusing to understand what exactly was going on especially in the last episode(seriously what happened on the bridge...) but I guess it worked out okay at the end. The only thing is that they kind of ignored the other relationships that had sprouted and it just didn't feel complete.
Overall, I give this a 7 because there were many flaws and although they were little, they could've been changed to make this anime flow better and make more sense. I recommend it to any romance, comedy and drama lovers because it's still worth the watch.
