First of all let\'s go backwards in reviewing.
It\'s NOT a waste of your time to watch this title...really! Don\'t read stupid reviews, like mine. Just go there,buy the DVD set and start watching it!
Overall-> oustanding! why ? hehe, yosh! I\'ll explain...
I\'ve just completed the TV episodes and the enjoyment afterall is great. A superb comedy plotline -> not-ordinary guy(a former Gang member) who\'s teaching hard-time kids as their Homeroom Teacher. Well it\'s nothing special about the \'set\', but it\'s just perfect for comedy plotline. And when i say comedy ... i really mean it! 43 episodes of Hearty laugh!!!! The hilarious situations Onizuka\'s falling are so funny that you literally will "roll on the floor laughing"!!! And finally the outcome is really a "life-teaching" for the students. A comedy, followed by wise advices for the life!!
These advices are given by Great Teacher Onizka,22 years old, bachalor. The records for Onizuka are really funny -> the basics are simple - powerfull ex-gang member, not qualified enough for teaching but makes astonishing contact with his students. Onizuka has really deep involvement with their life-problems. Oustanding score for development the characters and their emotional relationship!.
Let\'s go to the \'sound\'. The both openings are near perfect! The songs are really really good, even now i\'am listening Driver\'s High! Great job for L\'arc-en-ciel and Porno Graffiti!!!! But i don\'t like the endings... They\'re depressing me, for a comedy of this high level they should be more full-of-life ^_^
Lets don\'t stop on the art for too long. There\'s nothing special in it. It\'s Good enough! Nothing bad at the animation and nothing so good to rise the score up. It\'s good enough to represent the funny story :) The real funny story indeed! There aren\'t philosophical twists in the plotline. Everything is perfectly and well made, simple to follow and enough hilarious to stop breathing from laugh. And really - in some moment your stomach muscles will hurt from laughing!! The story is oustanding from every point of view - slice of life,comedy,drama ... EVERYTHING! :D The major aspects in the story are easy to define - hard time for Onizuka who\'s trying to become "Great Teacher" in Tokyo.... With that comes the laughtable situations :D

It\'s "MUST WATCH" title!!!!!!

JUST a masterpiece ! A superb balance of everything! I don;t have the words to describe it! Everything is perfect - from the animation, through the marvellous soundtrack (a excellent work from Susumu HIRASAWA - Paranoia Agent, Paprika - just can\'t describe the emotional feeling from the music ) and finally to the magnificent story!
Yosh, let\'s cut the story into pieces -> everything is so simple , but PERFECT! 3 main charecters - Guts (The Black swordsman), Griffith and Casca. Guts is out to get the King of a country called Midland. Simple enough to be perfect, as i said. OUTSTANDING plotline and magnificent twists ... withing the plot itself!

The superb story is represented with a far more great animation. The art itself is just a masterpiece, nothing less ! The atmosphere is shady, black and full of depression! What else ? The animation is based on new sequences for every hack&slash or action move (not like the one pan-camera for the action scenes in other animes ). This gives a great opportunity for different camera angles -> that in the genius hands of Shichiro Kobayashi (Angel\'s egg), Tokuhiro MATSUBARA (Pokemon -hehe..), Yuriko CHIBA (Code Geass,Planetes, work on Eureka 7 too) set on a pedestal the Art! Oustanding emotional feeling you can get just by watching. (the blood makes you sadistic >:) JUST A MASTERPIECE!)

But when you mix the animation with the perfectly made sound - your head swims ! The soundtrack is just as black and depressed just like the art! It\'s the PERFECT symbiosis between them! But the only thing that lack\'s the number of the OSTs. For 25 episodes there should be at least 1-2 more tracks. I\'m fed up with the op & ending. But afterall they are Great! The sounds when Guts slashesh horses,monsters and people is just as oustanding like the animation - you can only listen the perfectly made voice-acting and you\'ll be overjoyed !

The voice-acting is casted by professionals.
Nobutoshi Hayashi\'s as Guts make the character development even better! He\'s staff in Fate/stay night, Air, Final Fantasy: Unlimited, Initial D, Get Backers, Inu Yasha, Naruto, Shaman King and many many more. But as i said earlier - there are 3 main personages. Toshiyuki Morikawa\'s (lets say \"Devil May Cry\"as Dante and stop here...) as Griffith and Yuko Miyamura\'s as Casca (lets say also Neon Genesis Evangelion as Asuka and as performer of the ED song). It appears they are not just mere professionals...They are given a great role for the anime. The emotional relationship between the characters is deep and complicated. Great job with the flash-back episodes and development of the personality. Bow to the Outstanding coolnest of all the deeply spirited personages. It\'s like watching real live relationship! Can\'t describe it... :(

The enjoyment is far beyond exceptional! I was in deep depression after the anime. It took me around 2 days to recover! THIS IS \"Must Watch\" TITLE! For all anime fans out there - the overall score is OUSTANDING! You must not miss this! It\'s definitely NOT a waste of time.

I\'ve started to watch this anime with great expectations - from AMVs and recommendation from my friends. But afterall it was a bad choice...

The story goes well - every episode has his own plotline, but the major plot is hard to define. That\'s a point down... Once in a while the mini-plotlines where good enough, but overall they were decent.

The Art is almost great - the 3d mechas are well designed and its enjoyable to watch them next to the \'anime\'. But that\'s the only good thing - poor design for the rest. A bad taste for \'ecchi\' clothings too -> in ... the not too distant future to see a cowboy girl is sexy ? Ohh please...

The sound have nothing special in it -> good machine-gun fire sounds and voice-acting.

The character development through the anime is so poor. There where some shaded back-in-time episodes for their lives but nothing special. The character disign is near average, without ranking the ecchi elements -> they\'re very bad... For example - how do you like to see the main character half naked with cool hair,no boobs (come on we all like them in the ecchis) running wild with two pistols and a flashing tatoo on her hand for no reason... that\'s hilarious from my point of view... The other personages are even more funny and cliche - one hacker girl(eventually a prodigy),a no-plotline-guy who\'s cooking for the girls (like a harem anime, but not actually...), and two other girls... Nothing new and against the grain, we all have seen this kind of personages in other animes ...Mediocre thing for character design and development ........

The enjoyment afterall is not good enough - i\'d rather watch some other anime ... Only the Mecha are good for non-mecha-anime fan like me :) That\'s out of question because the mechanical designer is Kanetake EBIKAWA (Full Metal Panic!,Mobile Suit Gundam 00,Vandread).

Overall - it\'s near a waste of time to watch this anime -> there\'s nothing special in it. You can watch it only if you\'re Mecha fan and like almost-naked-pistol-girl-wielder-who\'s-kicking-bad-monster-asses :)

Ohayoo! This is my first anime and my english is bad , so excuse me for my \'lame\' writing...
I\'ll review this anime with the 6 elements available.

First comes the story: As we all know the set is from the PS2 game. The plotline its easy to understand and very enjoyable to watch closely, but it\'s nothing special afterall.

Art: Ok, here comes the great dilemma - the 3d is great integrated in the TV series, the character art is great, the landscape is very good, but i think something is missing. Maybe if there where more details i guess

The sound is average. Its pleasurable, i ... can\'t say anything else. Laharl (about him later) is casted by Kaori Mizuhashi - woman, how do you like that :D (don\'t get me wrong- she\'s a proffesional in voice-acting :))

The main stage Characters in the anime are Laharl, Etna and Flonne. This is the best element in the anime.
One of my favorite characters is Laharl - the brutal evil male demon who\'s obsessed, like a true demonish character, for power,money and ultimate control. A deep development in his emotional level through the anime. A GREAT \'against the grain\' character - one of those evil ones who are always on Backstage , but in Disgaea he\'s the primary evil dude who\'s pulling the anime score up. Just superb! One of the coolest personages i\'ve ever seen :D
Etna is one of those cute and helpless girls, on the first look, but is much like Laharl - she\'s his servant,but there\'s not enough \'screen light\' on her like Laharl. The development of this character is not deep enough,though... But afterall she\'s sadistic and very cute x)
Flonne is an low level \"assassin\" angel. A very lovely angel, who\'s always gabbling about love to Laharl :D She\'s also cute, but not like Etna ;]

The Enjoyment of this anime is Very Good indeed. The final feeling is that you havent wasted your time with this title. The anime has a strange sense of humour, though... I\'ve started to laugh at 7-8 epz. But indeed i have a hearty LAUGH with Laharl and the others.

Overall: don\'t hesitate to watch this - it\'s not one of the \"Must watch!\" but if you want you can watch it only for Laharl sake. That evil character dude is amazing. :D And the humour is really really good when you get to understand it. The plotline isnt that great but it\'s pleasurable,like the Art and the Sound.
