Oh Sailor Moon, wherever shall I start?
This anime was fantastic for its time period and should be rediscovered by all its fans of yester-year, even if we twenty-somethings admit to watching it with shame. There's just something about this series that makes it amazing. Even with its spliced-in cutscenes and repetitive plot and catchphrases, the characters stick with you and evolve just enough to make them interesting. The Sailor Moon series may not have been a work of artistic genius, but it's incredibly enjoyable, a pioneer of its time, and an anime cultural icon. Some day when you're sitting around the

Not only is this an enjoyable series for character and plot, but it's full of Japanese folktale, culture, and mythology. Also for once, the mythological side-kick type characters are as enjoyable as the main ones. The music and cinematography are also great. If only all the characters weren't pinheads (literally, tiny little heads).....

Absolute boyfriend is in theory like Chobits but with the roles reversed. However, unlike Chob\its or Hand Maid May which were pure joyous ecchi (for the most part) Absolute boyfriend has a sad ending. Up to that point this is an entertaining, funny, steamy, bodice-ripper of a manga. There. Don't say I didn't warn you if you're looking for redemption.
Story: Girl is desperate for a boyfriend. Girl finds mysterious way to order boyfriend on the internet. Inexplicably, everyone around her suddenly finds her utterly irresistable and are pissed that she now has a mail-order boyfriend. Rest ...

Ok, so, Death Note. I put off watching this because of everyone talking about it and blah blah blah, but finally I got too curious because the concept sounded somehow interesting. The first episode and I was actually hooked. I couldn't stop watching...I wanted to see what would happen next and I ended up watching like, five episodes at a time for the next week. This was all the fun of a good old detective-versus-dark force crimeflick, from the dark force's perspective and the characters were actually interesting!
