Well..they are quite similar to each other because they are both shoujo manga. And in addition Seishun Survival contains Otokomae! Beads Club side story (Never Dying Crow…!) which is as for me the best short story in Seishun... and a great supplement for those who loved Otokomae! Beads Club and felt insufficienty.

While reading Saikyou Venus I continuously thought of Koukou Debut. Well, maybe because the main character in Saikyou Venus, Aramaki Tatsumi reminded me of Yoh Komiyama. And there is another similarity - the climate of these two stories. They are all about love that is apparenty impossible.
