It's a very original manga where the protagonist is... treated like a second character. Huh?
It was an interesting perspective, but maybe it wasn't shown in the best way it could have been. It could have been more deep and interesting, but is like the author decided to keep it surface level and focus in how fast can you tell this story rather than how to feel the characters more deeply along with the lore and magic of the world.
Satoki is a girl who is thrown in another world along with Haruka, another girl from her school who happens to be the popular, kind and pretty
...
girl of the class. Totally different from Satoki who's a manga and videogame fan. People in this new world automatically assume Haruka is the chosen one, the magical maiden who came to save them all, because of her looks and attitude. The setting is the typical medieval fantasy world where there's demons, wizards, kings etc.
Satoki is very anxious and doesn't speak for herself, she discovers she's the one with the powers the maiden is supposed to have, and other characters do it too. But they know she's not the best looking, or with the best attitude to fill the 'role', and they force her to hide what she knows so Haruka can be the magical maiden. Haruka lives a fairy tale with a love triangle and pretty clothes and very typical shojo situations while Satoki works like a castle maid and uses her power besides Haruka so she can look like the hero. Satoki suffers constaltly of threats and uncalled abuse just because, while she minimizes herself in the process.
Haruka is hearth kinded, Satoki is super shy and is not a character easy to love, some can find her very desperating and zero hero-like. I was interested in how a 'secondary' character can be treated, how is their perspective. I wasn't completely satisfied, but I think it was a very original story to read.
The drawings look very good, is hard to find a bad looking manga anyways. But I enjoyed it. The humour is not the most briliant either but it made me enjoy the manga.
The ending is not the most safisfying either, but it could been way worse. I'd recommend it just because it's original, at least it was for me!
Sorry for the incongruences or mistakes, english is not my mother language! :) Hope this helps.

The manga starts with a very clear topic. A girl who lies -to be liked by some new friends in her clasroom- about having a boyfriend. Of course, she wants to be popular. She then, becomes the 'dog' of a very atractive guy, begging him to act like his boyfriend.
At the beggining is funny and interesting. You want to see how the relationship between them becomes better, or evolves, or something.
Normally the guy would turn be authoritarian, but, i don't know, sweet too? You can be authoritarian and sexy, but also caring... he's not. He just doesn't care.
But then, when the male prota could start
...
to be a decent human being, when stuff could start to become romantic and nice... it becomes very very hateful. It becomes WORST in his treat! and hurts the female protagonist, he makes her feel insecure, he treats her bad, he calls her names, he domains her and give a total fuck about what she wants, and makes her feel guilty about bothering him. You can see her cry a lot! And you feel pity for her but very deeply is very sad because you know that's the story of a lot of people! People who are in love and don't know how to handle or how to scape from abuse!
It bothers me so much that they don't show the relationship like it is: abuse. And the fact that is presented like something cool just because she has a couple and she loves him. That's it. Because there's no love story, just a story about a girl who loves the guy who makes her cry.
And wow. Is he a hero for not punching her or for not cheating? That's almost what he's good about, being loyal. Ok. That's the only good thing about him. Oh, and that he's hot.
I didn't wanted to finish it. Maybe at the end the guy realizes he loves Erika and don't treat her like shit anymore, but if after 30 episodes the relationship is abuse and it doesn't look like anything else... I'm sorry. I think is not worth reading 30 episodes more to find out how abuse can be justified.

The drawing is simply beautiful. The clothes, environment, characters and magic are wonderfully well done, i liked every page of it. Also the enchantments are very clear (i've read mangas where the magic is kinda confusing and you don't understand where it comes from or what they really do. This one goes to the point)
Secondary you see a nice character development and transition, not all the time you see a nice transition from the cold one guy to someone who actually cares for someone else. And the damsel in distress who is only pretty and is more like an ornament to the story evolves to
...
have a personality and some purpose.
Is kinda predictable, but still the story is very well done, the secondary characters are not a bother and they really help the protaginists in their challenges. The humour is very cute and i'd recommend this manga to someone who wants to read a short, romantic and fantasy love story with a super nice art.
