Both works tell a story about remembering/loving someone who's no longer in your life. They're stories about love that last forever, beyond time or life. And both are excellent.

Mahou no Stage Fancy Lala

These two shows are very similar. Both are about a young girl pursuing her dream of becoming a singer and doing it by transforming her body into an older version. The main difference is that Fancy Lala is very lighthearted compaired to Full Moon. In Full Moon wo Sagashite the plot is much more complex and deals with fighting against death and other things, while Fancy Lala just talks about becoming a singer. I'm not saying that Full Moon is depressing... it's incredibly interesting and if you can survive the filler episodes you'll find an awesome anime. Fancy Lala is the typical "little girl's dream of becoming a singer", while Full Moon is inspiring... it's about never giving up on your dreams or your life.

Harukanaru Toki no Naka de: Hachiyou Shou

These two shows are extremely similar. A couple of high school students are transported to a "different" world and the girl is chosen as a priestess. No difference! What you need to know are the differences, which are: in Fushigi you have a harem anime with tons of romance and the love triangles/squares/whatever are blatantly obvious, plus lots of comedy. In Harukanaru there is a much more serious tone and much less romance (well, it takes much longer to be revealed and then it's much more discreet). Other than this, the plot is almost identical.

Nodame Cantabile

Both series focus on the «discovery» of the true concept of music by music students. While the theme might be the same, these two shows have completely different moods. In Nodame you'll spend half the time laughing, while in Corda d'Oro it's mostly a serious mood sometimes bordering on depressive. Not to say that Corda is a bad anime... I liked it very much. It's just that it has a completely different take on music. Other major difference: in Nodame there are many interesting and different characters and many plot twists... while in Corda there are less characters, who aren't very different, and the story isn't that unpredictable.

These two shows are extremely similar, both focusing on a teenage girl with a big dream and trying to make it. The only difference is that in Kaleido Star they focus more on things like gymnastics and dancing, while in Glass Mask it's about acting.
