Many would call this anime predictable and boring, but although it can be those things it also has a lot of heart. I can sense the character's personalities straight away and enjoyed the light that they projected even from a computer screen. I feel that these characters had a lot more life than what is usually seen in anime and I suppose emotionally I became instantly attached. The storyline is a bit slow, but progression is there and it is wonderful to see a girl push for what she wants in an anime. Although shy and a bit odd, Yamato-san is a sweet girl that
...
is definitely relatable on many levels. Takeo-kun is a dependable and overall honorable guy that you quickly grown to love. Suna is definitely my favorite character from the whole show and definitely the greatest of bros. Overall, although unrealistic in some ways, the show had heart and for that it gets an 8 in my books. Perhaps not the most professional review but the music was nice enough, the animation was good enough and the plot points were sweet. The show didn't break boundaries or form unique situations but it did show a lot of emotion. I think at times in television shows or movies we become so worried about the technical standpoints and whether or not we learned anything. I think what the show proves is that it's okay to sit back and simply enjoy and feel joy. I definitely recommend this anime if you are having a sad day or simply want to watch a cute romance. The show does it pretty well. :)

I just finished this show. Why did it have to end? In all honesty I came into this show not knowing what to expect. The recommendation came from a random individual, but he told me it was good, actually he said it was INCREDIBLE, and I thought to give it a try. The first episode somewhat bored me, he said it was action packed...I saw no action. I'm an impatient individual, I don't drop shows often, but when I do I do it VERY quickly. A part of me wanted to quick, especially because I wasn't used to the 90s animation. At first, I hated
...
it, those rigid lines, no fluidity, no delicacy, it wasn't soft at all like the wondrous animation of 2012. However, I kept going hoping that it would get better. And boy...did it ever get better. The Yu Yu Hakusho show isn't for the faint hearted, it isn't for someone that wants a straight cut storyline filled with happy smiles and laughter. Although it has comedy, and at times I cried from laughter...I also cried from anguish and loss. The show rips out your soul and allows you to evaluate yourself in ways you never thought imaginable. There is a character for everyone, that anyone can relate to...personally I related to Hiei and he has become one of my all time favorite characters(right behind Edward Elric). It was his darkness and quench for everlasting depression that hit home with me, but well...you have to see what happens. There isn't much else I can say about this show without spilling my heart and revealing spoilers. You fall in love with the art...and as I finish the show I'm not sure how I'll handle the fluid motion of modern animation. The show was simply impeccable, each episode drew me in, and by far the second season was some of the BEST television I've ever witnessed. I'm lucky to find this show, in the back of my head I've faced dark thoughts, but this show(along with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) has made me realize that those dark thoughts are okay just don't let them control your life. Instead, watch and rejoice that you live the wonderful life you have. If that statement hasn't convinced you to watch the show...well, to be honest, I don't know what will. I'm not revealing much about it because I want everyone to witness the beauty of this show untainted by my review. I want you to watch it, and believe that it can change you for the better, because it will. I hope who ever reads this review finds the sudden urge to watch the Yu Yu Hakusho show, everyone should watch this at least once. Go change your life, be the man(or in my case woman) you always wanted to be. Learn, and train, and fight to be the better YOU! I wish you all the best as you embark on the journey of the Spirit Detective. My case is closed. :)

What an amazingly strange show. Truly, it's strange, take a gander at it and simply look at the art. When I saw the first ten minutes I was extremely put off by the art. Although I found it beautiful, the art was distracting and I couldn't even focus on what the characters were saying because I was looking at their clothing. However, after a while you truly get used to it, I did after one episode. You later start to appreciate the art, and it really helps tell the story, and damn what a story. I have never read The Count of Monte Cristo but
...
I know that it is a classic and supposedly a must read. Having never read it, and being a fan of classic literature, I was worried about watching this show(I thought it would be dull). I put it on my "to watch" list for at least 4 months and finally got around to watching it because I needed a show with more...substance... then my last couple of choices. Anyways, I hated the first ten minutes, and I put off the show for another week, but then finished through it and instantly fell in love with it. It's a show that you can't help but love. The art is astounding, the sound...well let's talk about the sound. It's a full on orchestra each episode, you feel like you are watching a play(which is the point) and I was completely immersed. COMPLETELY. You lose yourself in this show and become part of the story, you're there with all the characters as they go through their crazy lives. Each character is important to the story, make sure to never forget one character, each person is dazzling in their own way. The Count, wow, what an incredible character, probably my favorite villain of all time. He embodied the word "badass" and made looking evil look totally "cool." I randomly watched the show dubbed(usually a fan of subbed) and it's worth to watch it dub simply to listen to his truly magical, sensual, gorgeous voice. Whoever is the voice actor(too lazy to look it up) is a GENUIS. Anyways, I'm simply ranting right now, the show has very little mistakes. Although it may SOUND boring(I thought it did), every second is filled with chaos, drama, and action. Now, there is a certain part near the end where the art becomes 3D and it's literally cringe-worthy how awful it is, but that scene lasts for ten minutes so just power through it. I did not want to watch this show, I had no interest, I thought I would hate it, and I was COMPLETELY wrong. Watch this show, be dazzled, be amazed, be swept away as you watch how the Count of Monte Cristo takes control of one man's life in such a beautiful way.
P.S = Sorry for bad grammar :)

A show I expected to dislike. When I read the summary I was semi intrigued due to the focus on music, but was unsure when I noticed the high school setting. Oh, I thought, another boring and dull and basic high school drama that is just BLAH. Boy, was I wrong...well, for the most part. Tari Tari is definitely not your typical high school comedy, it brought me to tears, made me laugh, and made me realize why I love listening to music. However, to be honest, there were some definite flaws, but not SO definite that it made me ever want it to end.
...
I'll start with the flaws. One major flaw I found was how extremely immature the majority of the main characters acted. If they were middle schoolers it would make sense, but during my senior year of high school I was never so immature. I found it surprising that there was little to no romance throughout the show. I found that somewhat unrealistic considering their ages. Yes, boys and girls can be friends, but COME ON, you spend EVERY DAY with each other and there isn't ANY hint of romance(there is SOME, but nothing that changes the dynamic of the show)? I found that somewhat strange. In addition, some of their actions and routines were childish, cute, but childish nonetheless. I felt it took away from the story, but only for a second. I found really nothing else wrong with the show, at times it was cliche, and I did cringe at some parts just by how cheesy it was, but overall Tari Tari deserves to be watched for many reasons. What reasons? I'm glad you asked! First off, the PARENTS of the show made it for me. I loved each parent, they developed their own personalities and changed along with their children. It was refreshing to see that, because usually the parents are stagnant characters that stay two dimensional, but not in Tari Tari. I found myself loving the parents as much as the high school kids. In addition, THE MUSIC, what absolutely breath taking music, especially the piano solo parts. Each song made me smile, and by the end I was tearing up because I felt so emotionally connected to the song even though I can't speak one word of Japanese. To me that takes skill, and I applaud the writers/producers of this show. I felt invested, I felt loved, I felt friendship throughout the show in a way that for the MOST part was realistic and made my heart honestly beat faster and my smile grow wider. I am an adventure loving, gore thrilling, sword wielding show kinda gal, but Tari Tari has made me want to give Slice's of Life more chances. It was the music, the characters, the art, the overall atmosphere that made me love Tari Tari, and I highly recommend it to all of you! :)
P.S = If you like horses you might like this show, too! I am a major horse lover and having a horse in the show made it even better in my opinion! :D

I am unsure why I enjoyed this show as much as I did. Rarely do shows make me cry from laughter, but this is just one of those shows. I was worried there would be massive amounts of incest, as anime tends to get into if there ever is a brother/sister scenario, but instead I was pleasantly surprised. It isn't about that, it's about the sweet relationship between a brother and a sister noticing each other for the first time in their lives. Overall, I loved the main character, he was relatable and hilarious, sweet and endearing, and overall a guy I would love to
...
hang out with. However, his sister did annoy me, but at times I did enjoy her presence. The art was well done, simple and clean cut, the music was possibly the only lacking part of the show. If the music was more original I would have given it a 10. Overall, I love this show and when I finished the last episode I thought, "Why did I like this? It wasn't though provoking or deep..." I liked it because it was silly, carefree, and just so enjoyable to watch. I highly recomend this show! :)
Sorry for the poor grammar....and spelling... :)
