Space Dandy is a 26 (splitted in 2 parts)episodes anime series,directed by Shinichiro Watanabe(The guy behind Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo)
In my opinion this is his best work yet .
Where to start...the story is mostly episodic.We follow the adventures of Dandy and his friends in search of rare aliens.And thats it,well..kinda.There is a bit of plot going in the last few episodes of season 2.
The episodic nature of the show and the setting are the strongest parts of the show in fact.The whole show is SUPER versatile and any kind of story works PERFECTLY well.There are different kinds of episodes-with drama,comedy,romance,action,mystery,you name it.The whole team ... was incredibly creative with every single episode.We explore different planets,characters,aliens,universes.Our characters die in few episodes and in the next they are alive.A lot of people hated that and thought that it would never be explained.Weil they explain it in the midlle of the second season and it's very interesting.
A lot of people dislike the show,because of the characters and the humour.Well in my opinion the cast is great.They are not your typical anime cliche and have positive and negative traits.Every character from the main cast gets their screen time and moments of glory.The end of season 2 focuses on character development and a bit of drama.
My favourite episode from season 1 was ep 5 and from season 2- ep 10.About the humour-it's not your typical anime comedy,which can be hit or miss.It depends on your taste.
The animation-in my opinion this is the best looking anime tv series.The design of the planets and the aliens is amazing.The character design is stylish.The animation style changes between some episodes to reflect the tone.The opening is super catchy and presents the show amazing.
I would give it an easy 10/10 it's not perfect obviously,but this is probably the most creative show out there.

I am super angry at this show.It had potential to be really great.I went in it blind,without any expectations.So where to start.....
The plot is mainly episodic ,just like Cowboy bebop,Space Dandy,Gintama,etc.
I think that this was a horrible decision for this show ,because it's very hard to make every episode memorable and interesting.The story itself is super confusing and uninteresting.Random stuff happens,without any explanation.The show expects the viewers to roll with it.Another problem is that the comedy for most parts is horrible and placed in really bad places.The serious parts are not working AT ALL,because there is stupid comedy in between.It suffer the same problem ... as Akame ga kill.The plot in the last few episodes was confusing ,but it served as a ok closing for the show.
The reason i am angry with the show are episodes 5 and 6.They were fuckin AMAZING.Everything worked really well in them.The comedy was on point,there were some cute moment between Leo and White and so on ,and so on.The show would have worked much better as a episodic comedy without the dumb edgy parts.Or separated comedic and serious episodes .
The characters are....random.They had cool designs.Leo was cool...There is nothing else to mention
The music and animation were on point.The ed is super catchy
So yeah...the show tried to be a mix between Gintama/Cowboy Bebop/Baccano and it failed ,with the exception of episodes 5 and 6,which saved the show from being total shit for me.

This manga is such a wasted potential.The first few chapters are really good,but after that ,the whole plot ,until the end is just a massive filler and teasing.
There isn't any progression in the relationship between the main characters here and there.Instead everything is rushed in the last 2 chapters,which made the ending felt super rushed.The last chapter itself was kinda cool and the end was rewarding.The overall humor was good the first few times,but soon became repetitive and annoying teasing.We got that the trap is super cute the first time.We got that the main character is conflicted about his sexuality(which is quite interesting main conflict,but ... it's not explored enough)
So yeah the story was really weak and i wanted more substance
The characters were meh.The personality of the trap is that he is a cute trap.The personality of the main character is that he is the perfect guy.That's it.
The secondary characters are really boring and unimportant ,with the exception of the lesbian couple,but they got little screen time.
The art is great,no complaints here.All characters look great.
Well overall the manga was super mediocre at best.I wouldn't recommend it
