I want to be clear that I am very biased in this review. I have always adored Super Cubs and I am generally a fan of slow paced, wholesome slice of life anime. If you are looking for a show with drama, suspense, action, or fast pacing then this is absolutely not the show for you. If instead you are looking to watch a relaxing and calm love story between a young girl and her Cub, then this show is definitely for you. The story, characters, and messages so far in this show have been simple, yet I feel they encapsulate so much of what ... makes motorcycles so alluring, and the choice to make the cast mainly young girls allows the story to feel natural being slower paced and not about the reckless thrills that motorcycles can offer, but rather the freedom they provide and the friendship one has with their bike and their fellow riders. Even while not filled with drama, the show allowed me to sympathize with Koguma, the main girl of the series, and feel happy when she does, feel worried when she worries, and feel scared when she feels scared. I am a massive fan of the artistry of this show. Certainly there are times when the cgi feels unnatural, but I have noticed it less and less as the time goes on. I find the animation to be really beautiful while low key, yet I think it fit perfectly with the general mood of the show. The same can be said with the music. Like the animation, it is subdued, but perfectly so for the slower pace of this show. Koguma is so likable and adorable that I find it impossible to not break out into a huge smile whenever she smiles. Watching her relationship with Reiko develop is also so heartwarming and wholesome. The same can be said with the girl's relationship with Shii. I highly recommend watching this show if you want to relax and take a break from the loud, high energy, and dramatic anime that are perennially popular.
