How do I even start ... if you're looking for a 12 episode Masterpiece, THIS IS IT!!! The first thing that got me into it is the genre, historical drama. The settings is drawn magnificently, we're in the late '60, Japan, the olympics are a fond recollection, the war is a distant memory, and Neil Armstrong hasn't landed on the moon yet. any deeper. This anime in all seriousness has changed who I am, how I see life, how preconceptions can become opportunities, how love and friendship might or might not end. The art is simply gorgeous, no bad CG here, no any type of CG LOL. About the music. First, this isn't a musical anime, like Hibike or La corda d'oro. This is drama, with characters that rejoice in music. That said, the legendary Yoko Kanno signes the score, and right from the opening you know this isn't your randon 1 cours anime. In terms of character progression there's a lot to talk about, but I would be spoiling you so I'll refrain myself to saying that things aren't what you'd expect in this anime, neither the characters nor the story. Needless to say, I give it a 10 out of 10. Hope you enjoy it, even if drama might not be your mainstay, you know we've talked about preconceptions, but once you do see it, you'll get hooked. Good bye for now.
