The series is basically about a Art Club in a middle school with its members as the center of the story and the activities they do. It just your typical one-story-per-chapter, no actual arcs just your typical slice of life.
It contains a bit of romance, like the common misunderstanding clichés, and high school anime or manga scenes. In terms of story, Magi is well-versed on the details of the message the author is trying to sent to her readers. Magi is not like your typical shounen story that tackles about power and evil, or selfish personal reason towards its goal.
