A very fun series that explores traditional masculine and feminine qualities when it comes to relationships. What really sells this show is all the likable characters from our two main leads, but also most of the side characters. Everyone just has so much personality, and the show does a solid job of focusing on the characters and the high school setting is a lesser note which is nice in romance anime that sometimes puts an over emphasis on the setting. A really crazy scenario that adds so much comedy, but other than that this show misses the mark on the emotional value the characters can give you. While the premise is ridiculous that two high schoolers get married and move into a house together, it is more ridiculous that this basically turns into a harem. Funny thing is I find Saito a pretty likeable character. Yeah he has the always remember everything super power which is kinda boring really but kinda funny that he can’t remember something super important to him.

I’m throwing away all the objectivity of this review. I needed this anime. It’s just very solid. The characters are wonderful and the voice acting has so much personality. The only thing keeping this show from a 10 is that the plot could have been a little stronger between the DA, the Allen Institute, and the morality of a secret police force in society.

Picture this, an anime about a couple at a Japanese high school. Of course, that almost every anime especially in the slice of life and romance genre. Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie does not do anything bold or overly interesting, yet it is a very solid show that is like the Cinnamon Toast Crunch of Romance Anime. The animation and character design is above the standard and the close up shots are very intricate and used effectively. One of the most stunning anime in terms of shot composition and overall cinematography. Other than that, a very slow show that is refreshing compared to the slop of seasonal isekai and degenerate taboo over sexualized shows that we’ve culture has and always has been associated with. Perhaps, there was a bit more room for some delinquency. Instead, the show is about a two high school students who are now step siblings. That’s it. That’s the show as it breaks down their complicated thoughts in their new environment. And it’s not bad. It’s not the great either.

A very solid show that depicts the joy of sharing one’s hobbies and interest. Overall, the characters have a lot of personality. The contrast between Gojo and Marin really drives the show. There is a significant amount of fanservice, but it is justifiable in the subject matter of cosplay as well as the young teenage character navigating romantic feelings. A wonderful anime with solid production value and a great premise. I really just enjoyed Rishe’s personality and her outlook on the world. Each episode has solid pacing, but it’s annoying how she is great at everything even though the plot explains perfectly how that is the case. Solid heartfelt moments, the romance is good, and a good amount of pretty men so if that’s your thing then this anime is for you.

Overall, a fun and humorous show that talks about the creative and narrative process. The little sister trope is a bit overplayed for me, but I think it lands fine. I enjoyed this film and recommend it to those who like the Romance genre. I also recommend it in general for everyone because it depicts a disability in the titular character with her needing a wheel chair and they do fine job representing it.
