Boruto is getting so much hate, it doesn't deserve it. I really don't understand people writing a review after 30-40 episodes and saying it's bad. I'll be honest: the beginning is very very slow. When we look at Naruto for example it's getting a bit faster to the story. But just like Boruto, Naruto is a very long Anime with a lot of episodes so they can't just straight up go to the core story. So to truly understand and enjoy Boruto you have to watch more episodes, just like all the other long Anime.
Another point: People comparing Boruto to Naruto? Why doing that? It's ... obviously clear that they definitely can't be compared. While Naruto was darker since the beginning, Boruto shows a Shinobi World further developed and more peaceful. Boruto isn't supposed to be like Naruto so please refrain from comparing them. I also watched Naruto, but at least I understand that they are completely different.
Now to my opinion: I really enjoy Boruto. The characters are funny and the story is evolving very good. My 8 star rating comes from everything together. Sure, the Anime ain't the best, everyone can agree I guess. But it's also not so bad, it's really enjoyable. I have to say I wanted to drop Boruto at the beginning too. But I gave it a chance and see were it led me :>
I hope some people reconsider their decisions in not watching it and actually start and hang to it because the evolving is very good and also Boruto himself is making a huge improvement as a person. From that random dude who hates his father and tries everything to get his attention to someone who acts more grown up. It's really great to see how he now is a better Character, Shinobi and Son, but also still having that childish side which Naruto also had when he was young.
