I fully went into this expecting it to be shotacon jailbait, but hear me out: it's actually engaging.

The writing is oddly well done, the visuals are high quality, and the humor is on point. They did not have to cake my boy up and put his ass in bootyshorts, but after the first episode you don't even notice it, mostly in part to the writing being decent, and the abundance of chibi-comedy, and fight scenes more impressive than real life fireworks shows.

A warning: there is occasional shota fan-service, but it is so heavily diluted by the adult woman flavored fan-service to the point where it's ... a drop in the bucket. Hell, there are some scenes that cross into "I can't believe it's not hentai" territory, with the lack of nipples being the only real element pointing away from the 18+ category, whereas the closest most egregious implication of shota is the goddamn cover art.

Do not expect this to be a masterpiece. It's just for shits and giggles, but the high fantasy non-isekai reincarnation gimmick the story plays with doesn't really detract from what's there.
