To call this work of art a masterpiece would be an insulting understatement, a disservice to the beautiful world, story and characters Sakuratani Shuu has created.
It's a shitpost of the highest order and that fact alone makes it an unironically enjoyable read. The characters are obvious parodies of typical Anime/Manga tropes, except that when the overly serious backstories are applied to non-anthropomorphic animals it transcends just a mockery, it becomes art.
Barring all the jokes, the illustrations are actually really good. Every panel is a beautiful illustration of a chicken's adventures and I'd recommend it just for that. Nothing's more exhilarating than looking at
