I will not deny, I'll be a little biased towards this anime cuz my favourite genre is comedy and the supernatural, so this was quite the perfect show for me.
Story:
Once upon a time, in a land faraway, there was a barbaric, ruthless, defiant, demon-like bastard who thought nothing of his fellow man. And under some strange as heck circumstances, he started to raise a baby.
Correction. Not just any baby. The next great demon lord!
And so we follow this man, Oga and Baby Beel with their wacky so called 'adventures'. The story's plot is not deep or anything, however it does feature something out of our
...
daily lives and the humor is hilarious. Oga is always dealing with weird situations (which I kind of feel sorry for him) and all of them have to do with Baby Beel. But there are certain moments in the story that will make you go "aww" just for abit as well.
Art:
The art is mediocre. But there are certain times where humorous exaggerated facial expressions are drawn very well which I will give a thumbs up for. They do have a little bit of fights, which are short enough and not too long.
Sound:
The OP and ED suit the anime very much. OP is a kind of rock-ish song which is kind of catchy and the lyrics are all of Baby Beel's words while ED is slightly more toned down and mature. The background music in each and every episode is fufilling and goes very well especially in comical scenes.
I'll be honest-I'm a little biased because of Baby Beel's seiyuu, Sawashiro Miyuki who has done a great job on him and his baby-like noises.
Characters:
Okay, so I gave this one a high score but of course with reason. The characters inside are not that usual in animes and so is Baby Beel (of course, why would Baby Beel be usual? He's the cutest thing on both hell and earth.)
Oga, as said by many as the bastard who never seems to have any sympathy for fellow men, actually shows a slightly (reaaaal slight) tender side towards Baby Beel. You can see him actually developing for a bit in the anime as the story progresses, I would say that it's because he faces the hardships of raising a baby and being a parent etc.
Baby Beel is the great demon baby as you probably know already. He exerts great demon-like qualities, yet for some reason can still manage to maintain that innocent image.
Overall:
I enjoyed this anime quite thoroughly, each episode had me laughing my ass off. If you're looking for something out of this world (or perhaps under instead) and something to laugh at as well, I'd highly recommend this anime.

My 2nd review~! Well, I loved APH alot so I figured I might as well do this.
STORY:
Not much of a story here, except that they're stories from the past, which means you can learn quite some history here. It's kinda unbelievable but this anime actually helped me alot with my history (beats history class sooo much, if only we watched this anime for history) and also made history (a once super boring subject) now very fun for me. (; Also, the comedy is really HILARIOUS! They parody the many different scenes of the past and I literally laughed throughout the whole show! (comedy are a
...
plus for me and if you love comedy you should check this out I'll guarantee you'll laugh too)
ART:
The characters are nicely drawn, so is the background and such. I think they are well done in APH, because there's no moments where it looks like they are using only a picture or a few frames for a few minutes.
SOUND:
I love the sound! The ending is really adorable, and what's more is that it's sang in many other perspectives' of the different characters :D And I think it's really special that each country actually gets to have his/her own version of the ending at the end. The sounds also go very well with the show and it keeps the show smooth.
CHARACTER:
THE CHARACTERS. I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS! (it's a little biased but) The characters are all so adorable! I really love the way the look and the way they're stereotyped on their respective countries! If you're watching this you're bound to laugh at all of their silly antics. Plus, I think it's great for girls because there's alot of bishies inside *winkwink*
ENJOYMENT:
I can't describe how much I enjoyed this show. Every episode was random, but it gave me alot of surprises. And another factor that added to the enjoyment was the COMEDY! Like I said, I couldn't stop laughing the whole way through (mostly because of the characters' sometimes stupid antics) and at the parodies they do of so many countries and such. Through this show it also helped me to learn history (unknowingly because I was too busy enjoying it) and I highly recommended to those who need a good laugh! :D
OVERALL:
Wonderful.

This is my first time reviewing and also one of the first anime that I truly enjoyed so far so I decided that it certainly deserves a review! First off, even though I haven't completed this yet, I'm already aware of alot of details (because of my bad habit of reading spoilers) and I think that it's really a shame that it's already ended. Anyway, I almost gave up on this anime because of the dragginess at the start, but once I got to the main plot I was pulled in slowly and got addicted.
Story:
Like many others, I'm going to agree that the first few
...
episodes did not have much action going on (like action-action) and was just full of comic relief. It's fine, though it set my impression on this anime and I thought it was going to be like this forever so I almost gave up on this until my friends told me that it would get better. Anyway, the story only comes in later and I like how it slowly gets better and better with every coming episode because it draws me in quite well. Also, the idea of a mafia is unknown to me and I think that the story is pretty interesting and uncommon.
Art:
I'm not going to lie, the first few episodes the characters didn't look very good, and the art at first turned me off abit, but I was glad because after that as the story progressed the art got better too. The battle scenes lasted long enough, not too long and not too short. Character designs were also quite cool, especially for the main characters but I'm not going to reveal anything so you'll have to slowly watch for yourself.
Sound:
The sound! The background music fits with every scene, especially the comic relief! I've never actually gotten any goosebumps from animes before, but this is the first time I've gotten it and it's when they fight. The soundtracks in the background somehow makes the character super cool and stuff and it makes me kind of awe-struck by the characters.
Character:
My favourite part. The characters are just so special in their own individual ways, and there flaws are also balanced with their characters, so it doesn't seem like they're too perfect. The protagonist has an unexpected personality that I don't usually see alot because protagonists are usually cool and all that, but this protagonist gets better as time passes. You can see the characters developing as well, and sometimes if I were to look back I'd go "wow, they've really been through alot!" because that's exactly the kind of feeling it gives me.
Enjoyment:
I enjoyed it thoroughly, especially at the later parts! The comedy relief helps alot, especially when in serious situations! I personally love comedy myself, and the comedy has scored alot of points with me. This anime also knows when to be serious and when not to be, which also makes it more enjoyable. The fillers are also not very shallow and boring like the ones I see in some other animes and in fact I like them alot. I think through the fillers I get to see the characters' different sides (cute ones especially).
Overall:
I'd say I really love this anime! And I'm going to watch it slowly so that I will get to end later. I'm really glad to have persevered and if you're planning to watch this, please persevere like me and don't give up! Because as it goes on it gets better and better :D
