I've been a haikyuu fan for a long while, read the manga several times and watched the anime several times as well.
So let's get to the review.
I absolutely loved this movie. I loved every aspect of it, every scene was well done and even the different flashbacks were well fitted into it. One thing that I was thinking about before I watched the movie was if it would bring us the expressive Kenma properly like we saw in the manga and I swear, the movie didn't fail to amaze me.
There are a lot of panels that we see with the Karasuno vs. Nekoma, crows vs.
...
cats theme and I think the panels were properly portrayed. I personally prefer the artstyle we had seen in the earlier seasons of haikyuu rather than the ones we have seen later, as in the Inarizaki vs Karasuno match, however, the second artstyle did a good job on bringing out the expressions of the different characters.
Since it is a movie, if you particularly like one character it might be a bit sad for you since they focus on mostly Kenma, Kuroo and their past through the movie but of course everyone does get screentime.
Kenma and Hinata's dynamic plays a big role in the movie and we see major character development from Kenma too.
The movie seems to focus on the characters more than the game to be frank and perhaps it might be the reason why someone watching the movie might think that it is too short. It does have the amazing plays of course but the movie seems to attempt to pull out your emotions and heartstrings.
The voice actors have done a great job (as always) and have brought emotion to every scene.
The soundtrack and the ending song was also flawless (as expected from Yuki Hayashi, Asami Tachibana and SPYAIR)
While I was not sure why the production team went for a movie and not a series, after watching it, it did make sense.
Also this movie only includes the Karasuno vs. Nekoma match and not the next one.
I highly recommend this movie and to me it was definitely a 10/10
it may not be a 10/10 for other people
Also, the pacing+clipping might seem a bit similar to the first three seasons of haikyuu than the fourth because the movie was actually directed by Susumu Mitsunaka, the man who directed the first three seasons.

i don't generally write reviews but let's say this deserves a good one.
this review will contain some spoilers so read at your own risk.
to me this manga was definitely a 10/10, there's two types of people: people who love this manga and people who hate it.
now let's get to the review
story:
personally i thought the story was pretty good, every arc was interesting and i liked how every character was given importance. it wasn't just "omg i just have to turn my sister human", no, if that's what you thought you probably just went over it half-hardheartedly to call it "overrated".
art:
i saw a lot of
...
people complaining about how the art is "childish" and what not, well, i think it was pretty well drawn, serious scenes and funny moments, all at a balance. the artstyle is simple but thats what makes it pretty good, its simple and understandable and some scenes are truly well drawn.
characters:
there's a lot of character development here and there and is quite applaudable.
(Tanjiro Kamado: amazing development, the difference in the way he fights from mugen train arc to the final arc was really good.
Nezuko Kamado: gotta say she's pretty cool and cute but ends up being not too important however her use of blood demon art in the fights was pretty good.) main characters so i didn't write much about them, you get it.
Zenitsu Agatsuma: seemed like just a part of the comic relief however when he faces his former senior who turned into a demon, Kaigaku, he is not longer sleeping. he fights with him head on even with only two forms, the first and the one he made, the seventh form. the development that he went through turning from a scared and shaking boy to someone who is brave and headstrong.
Inosuke Hashibira: good character really, good backstory and deeply cares about his friends but barely shows it, however he ends up getting attached to tanjiro and zenitsu and they end up being a pretty good team.
Shinobu Kochou: she's literally so cool? the whole time she seemed insignificant but the way she came up with a plan to kill Douma by getting absorbed along with wisteria poison running through her veins, that was a really good move, also she gave Kanao another dose to make sure that Tanjiro can be human again, she predicted it from the beginning.
Kyoujurou Rengoku: i have to say that he is really respectable. when Akaza called Tanjiro weak, he did not hesitate to correct him and fought to his very last breath and with the help of the four others he managed to save all the people who were in the train. he did the best that he could and won
Tamayo: what can i say except that she's amazing? she's really good at doing her job and the way she helped the hashiras and others even after dying seemed well thought out from her end and really was cool. no wonder yushirou liked her so much
Kagaya Ubuyashiki: He deserves every ounce of respect that he gets from the demon slayers. he does his job efficiently and somewhat is similar to a father figure to the demon slayers, gentle, kind and respectable. he sacrifices his and some of his family members' lives just to help his "children" the demon slayers to defeat Muzan.
Muichirou Tokitou: again, great development, great backstory and really cool.
Gyoumei Himejima: great backstory, he really did give it his all to train and get to the position he was at as a Hashira.
Akaza: even though he killed Rengoku one cannot help but feel sad on reaching his backstory.
Sanemi Shinazugawa: i really disliked him at the beginning but as the story progressed he seemed like a really a good guy.
everyone had a great backstory (well most of them) and the end of the manga was really nice, it genuinely made me smile.
Enjoyment:
10/10 i really liked it might just re-read someday.
overall its a 10/10 for me and I'll definitely recommend this manga. I think it is worth the hype.

Blue Period is about a boy named Yaguchi Yatora, a student who never thought about art until the day he took up the brush. It is a known fact that art universities are pretty expensive for the most part and due to his financial condition he couldn't have opted for a private art university leaving him only one choice: Tokyo University of the Arts. Being a public university it has a very low acceptance rate and therefore there are people who take the exam more than once to get admitted.
Story: Being a manga based on art, Blue Period has certainly done well. There are
...
certainly a lot of things that you can know by reading the manga.
It captures an artist's problems well: art-block, desire for perfection to the point that you're scared to draw, the sensation of the brush being "too heavy", the sudden lack of creativity, deadlines, deteriorating skills due to lack of practice and more.
There is calm before a storm but a clear sky after the storm passes. Thus,
It also does not fail to capture the good parts too: being inspired by your classmates and finally getting motivation to work again to make a painting which pulls a person in, the realizations, the feeling of the brush getting "lighter" again, the feeling of being able to breathe again and more.
There are many more things that make the manga amazing and worth it.
I particularly like this manga because it is really unpredictable and has not failed to keep it up. I feel like the manga is still pretty underrated.
Art: I think the artstyle is pretty good and consistent, even though it is all black and white, the mangaka never fails to capture the essence of the paintings. I liked Ono Konatsu's paintings a lot.
Character: It's good to see that the mangaka has not only just focused on the mc but also other characters one by one. I really liked Yuka's story arc, it had a lot of depth and Yotasuke's was pretty good too. Yatora has been learning, adapting and improving ever since day one, though it isn't too consistent since every artist has a fair amount of turning points, he still learns from them and it has been shown pretty well.
Enjoyment: I love reading this manga and it is pretty relatable for me and i think it is somewhat relatable to every person out there, no path in life is completely smooth and artists have it pretty hard and really are amazing. I hope you will like this too.
Overall: For me it's one of my 10/10 manga, it's really amazing.
Views, interpretation and perception are subjective and ever-changing but i hope that you will like it too!
