I agree with @Stark700’s review.

The first season of Overlord really hooked me because it focused on Ainz and his floor guardians, showcasing their powers and dynamics. That buildup left me eager to see how the second season would address the cliffhanger involving Shalltear’s mind control.

However, Season 2 took a different route. Instead of focusing primarily on Ainz and his guardians, it shifted its attention to several side characters:
1. The Lizardmen Tribe – Their daily lives, teamwork, and even romantic relationships were explored in detail.

2. The Adventurers (Blue Rose) and Brain Unglaus – We followed their journeys and challenges.

3. The Royal Family – Including the princess, ... her brother, the marquis, and Climb, her loyal knight.

4. Tuare – A former slave connected to the criminal organization known as 8 Fingers.

Although these side stories seem unrelated at first, the guardians were indirectly involved:

(1) Cocytus was tasked by Ainz to observe and learn from the Lizardmen to develop his decision-making skills.

(2) Sebas was connected to Tuare, Brain, and Climb. However, his actions during these encounters felt inconsistent with his role as Ainz’s loyal butler. His decisions, while giving him character development, seemed inefficient and created unnecessary complications, which was frustrating to watch. If you enjoy unpredictable characters, you might appreciate this arc more than I did.

That being said, I was really hoping to uncover more about what happened with Shalltear’s mind manipulation. While I know that the truth will eventually be revealed in future seasons, I was hoping that Season 2 would provide more clues or hints about this mystery. Unfortunately, the season didn’t delve much into that, leaving me a bit disappointed.

Migi and Dali. AT FIRST I thought it was a really dark anime with creepy and weird vibes. Although there is a hint of darkness to it, there are a lot of funny scenes and I think it's a really unique anime. To me it's similar to a comedy spy movie with just a touch of darkness and thrill. I also love the art style, when I read the manga and I learned that there was an anime, I thought the art style would be like those Junji Ito stories, but it was surprisingly brighter and better than I expected.Migi and Dali also surprisingly were ... not cold hearted and just numb robots, they had different characteristics unique to each of them, even though they are twins, it felt like they were their own person, and it made me not think of them as one single being moving synchronously.

Also, has anyone noticed the way they laugh? It was on another level (⁠＾⁠∇⁠＾⁠)⁠ﾉ

Anyways, this is still ongoing. I'm gonna change my review once I finish the whole series.

Well today has been a fun day because of this anime. I can't believe I watched this in like, probably half a day 😅 this is sooo good and it's really unique and realistic. It's not like other Shounen sports anime where the MCs are OP and like monsters. It shows us how we struggle to achieve our goals by trying again and again and doing our best in what we do. Haiji is too good with words, and probably has a bit of psychopathic tendencies but I like him the most.

I must say that as a Deuteragonist, he gave more impact to the viewers ... than the main MC. He has a story, he works hard, he waited for four years, and he's even enduring the pain just to answer his question. "What is running all about?" Well, atleast he's happy with whatever he's doing .

I dunno, but he's the ultimate role model.

I give this a 10/10 because this made my heart race. With joy, anticipation, anger, and excitement and the characters delivered those pretty well and the story is magnificent too❤️

First of all, I loved the early chapters of the story. Girl who can't fall inlove and a narcissistic guy who can only love himself. They stay as friends at first because they thought they will never love each other.

BUT DURING CHAPTER 11
Her character suddenly changed from girl who is emotionless and can't fall inlove and is unfazed when getting kissed by a guy to girl who is shamelessly pursuing a guy without any delicacy.

HONESTLY it was a shock for me. It's sad that the author changed her personality :(((

In my case, AT FIRST, I really like that the girl is hard to get, ... and I love the way that she doesn't get bothered by anything the guy does.
But boy oh boy things went the wrong route.... When she started having feelings for the guy she ended up the one pursuing him?!?!? Like wtf.

It's not that I hate girls who pursue the guys ( I loved the girl from Ookami shoujo), she's just... I don't know, it's like she lost her pride as a woman during chapter 11. I seriously don't like it when she says " what can I do so I can get you?" Or "I'm showing off so that everyone knows that you lent me your clothes". Like have some pride a little atleast.

That's it. I love that the guy isn't some cliche guy from shoujo mangas either where he falls inlove too quick, I like that he's dense too, but I don't like the personality change of the girl.

When I first started reading this manga two years ago, I dropped it on the 9th chapter ( I don't remember why tho) But I finally finished it now


FIRST THINGS FIRST
Let me talk about AKI. aki at first didn't really care about anything, as log as there's food, he's good to go. He was completely oblivious to the FL's feelings for him. To me, he is a really BORING character as the main lead, to the point where you'll really stop caring about him the more you read the story and it really sucks because he didn't really put a lot of effort in their ... love story with the female lead. He's kinda like Kuroko in Kuroko no Basuke... The author also gave him fewer scenes on the earlier chapters that's why there was no character development whatsoever from the 1-40th chapter. That's why,,, less scenes, no efforts whatsoever, jist keeping quiet to himself, I think that made me want to not make him the main lead because he's just like air.

ON THE OTHER HAND,
TOBA YUUMA kun/ the other guy that likes the girl,, he had more character development with the female lead, he also had more scenes with the female lead, at first he just wanted to support her from the sidelines when the girl had a huge crush on Aki, he gave her all sorts of advice but at the same time he was inlove with the girl, he comforted her everytime she was sad, he was always there for her, he has great observational skills and could easily tell what the girl was thinking. During the time when the Female MC was a mess, he finally started to move, he started to confess his feelings and stuff, he really wanted to support her and be with her. He even told her that she could use him as much as she wants because he is hers and stuff.. it made my heart goo doki doki THE AUTHOR MADE HIM THE PERFECT BOYFRIEND MATERIAL and he just loves the female MC soo much. It's a shame that the author just made him a supporting character.

The female MC, even if she spent a lot of time with Toba ( and also Aki was doing something else and didn't even show up a lot and made no progress) she still loved Aki a lot, she was straightforward in rejecting Toba tho, but it was really a shame since Toba was the perfect guy,

ANYWAY, the author made the supporting male character (Toba) soooo LOVABLE that you'll just think " Oh wait.... I don't think the male mc is worthy of female mc, Toba kun is better with her" and you'll get hurt because this manga wasn't made for them.

So I think what the author did to Toba was really unfair, he should've had a happy ending, but he was really sad in the end, Unrequited love hurts. But I think The Female mc didn't deserve Toba anyway since she couldn't even see that Toba was there for her everytime, she couldn't even see that there was always someone by her side whenever she was hurt by Aki or was feeling down. Toba deserved more than this and it really bummed me out that he was a Supporting character.

That's why I really think that it's the author's fault for making the Supporting male soo lovable that you'll end up rooting for him, and the main lead such a boring character . You'll definitely be heart broken for Toba kun in this manga .

Anyway, I've seen a lot of people drop this manga because the female character rejected Toba kun .

Ok, I watched this movie and this is AMAZING!!!!

But if you're REALLY into the typical shoujo romance and you really want those characters you want to fall for each other soo bad... NO THAT AINT GON HAPPEN. ( Watch The prequel "I've always liked you" instead)

I really love this because it's realistic. People don't always get the ideal romance they want, this is real life .. that's why this is soo refreshing. Life isn't always about having a happy ending... It's also about FAILURE, PERSEVERANCE, PAIN and how you can stand up to it and move on. LOVE isn't always perfect with "I've ... always loved you" ... " I love you too", I guess most shoujo anime wouldn't really go for that type of story because they'd make it as lovey-dovey as possible. BUT this one was different!!

That's why I give 10/10 for the story because this wass too unique.BUT the ending of this shoujo romance drama movie was quite lacking.. and also, I want to know more about their story, they didn't really continue the story of Kotaro and Hina that's why I'm gonna give it an overall of 9/10 for NOW, And also because I just love that Tsundere boy hahaha.

The girl’s social awkwardness, her weird hallucinations and stuff, they’re all soo hilarious and erotic at the same time.

She is definitely soo cute ♥️ I love her personality and I have nothing more to say about her ~

I DEFINITELY SENSE THAT THE GUY IS A SADISTIC BEAST ON THE INSIDE!! And he just shows a gentle and cool aura as his mask!! I definitely won’t be fooled!!!!! THATS WHY I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!! I HAVENT SEEN THE BOY SHOW HIS TRUE COLORS !!!!!! I NEED TO ... KNOW 😭😭😭😭

This is the first EVER manga that I’ve dropped. My drop list was 0 until now. I stopped on chapter 3 because the story was getting more and more pathetic and I just hated Netorare.

For the people who are okay with that, I guess you could call this a decent manga. But now for me, this was absolutely dreadful and I just think that the girl and the Dad ( Ryuu) are both fucking pathetic!!

The girl fell inlove with her mother’s ex boyfriend!?! And on top of that, she was just 8 YEARS old when her mother had a relationship with the boyfriend, just fucking ... look at the age gap broh!!!

On top of that, The Father ( Ryuu) sees her as only a substitute for her mother and is a horny piece of shit!! Taking advantage of a drunk girl huhu and sleeping with her, and I KNOW he gets the jizz about what his son ( Neo) feels about her and he still does that, he ain’t considerate at all!!

I felt bad for Neo on chapter 3 because he is completely oblivious to everything!! He was just trying to fix himself and relay his feelings for the girl, showing her that he still cares but the girl was acting like a bitch and shut him off without hearing an explanation!!

AND ON TOP OF THE TOP OF THAT, The girl gets drunk, sleeps with Neo’s father and then at the same time, Neo worries about the girl and visits her apartment, little does he know that INSIDE HER APARTMENT: HIS OWN FATHER AND THE PERSON HE LIKES ARE BOTH NAKED AND JUST SLEPT TOGETHER LAST NIGHT!!

WELL, I am pretty damn angry, that’s why I am DROPPING THIS for GOOD!

I think it’s a really touching story where an ex couple get to meet each other again after a long time. Ofcourse the girl is engaged to a guy already and she coincidentally meets his ex boyfriend again.

* and then they fall inlove all over again and yeah usually the cliches.

* The only thing that was bothering me was that she was already engaged and the guy seems to love her very much, and then suddenly she breaks up with him because she suddenly develops her feelings for her ex boyfriend again. I just think it’s unfair for that guy ahaha. ...

The writer just didn’t do anything to move the audience’s focus so that they would prefer rooting for the ex boyfriend ? I just think the fiancé is very pitiful, she confessed to him that she never even loved him from the start and that’s what made this story lose the 2 points.That’s why it’s 8/10

But for those of you who don’t like “no strings attatched” sex, this isn’t for you.

It is about a girl who values work more than anything else, yes, she doesn’t care about love at all, although she wants to fall inlove. She’s the cool type of girl, very calm, strong and pretty. She always broke up with her boyfriends because they kept judging her because she always acts like a man

She meets this guy and then decides to play a game, WHOEVER FALLS IN LOVE LOSES, ... which will then be “game over”. Ofcourse they meet often to have sex and all but no feelings attatched and then they suddenly develop feelings for each other ( but they do not realize it YET)

THE ONE THING I LOVE ABOUT THIS IS REALLY HOW “ SEDUCTIVE “ the guy is. He is very professional, FLIRTY, SADISTIC and really really really DOMINANT. He is cool but sexy at the same time and just looking at him makes girls pregnant ahaha (obviously a joke)

I also loved how his eyes are like very flirty, like calm and cool, but when you look at them you feel hypnotized. I definitely love his character. Although he has this rule that once you get a “sex friend”, you stay loyal to only one, so I’m glad he doesn’t just do it with anybody and anytime, but never ever get your strings attatched to him. He does different things like trying to make the girl jealous by getting close to another girl, or hugging another girl ( but no matter what he does, the girl is still cold as ice and she never gives in to the guy)

The girl is also A VERY AMAZING CHARACTER. She’s like a Kuudere, she’s cool and calm, emotionless and always focuses on her Job. She didn’t like the guy at first but the guy kept nagging and trying to seduce her, so they had a deal that their relationship would just be “physical”. I like how calm she is with everything and how she doesn’t get driven by the guy too easily, because she is “ HARD TO GET”. She also very curious about the guy because she can never tell what he thinks or what’s behind his smile, that’s why she believes that everything the guy tells her is just a lie to make the game more “Interesting”.

At first they were just playing the game like how they planned it. Everyday sex, bets, games, BDSM ( yes this was my fave ) and just work. Little did they know that something was about to develop within their little “game”. They didn’t notice that they were being more aware of each other and they didn’t know they were slowly falling inlove, although they do not admit it, and still confused on why they felt that way.

I dunno I enjoyed watching sexy pieces of meat having sex with each other, it was a lot of fun 😂 Don’t misunderstand, the sex isn’t that “cold”, it was somewhat just funny and hot at the same time. I love how they both never give in to each other and just continue to enjoy this “game” of theirs. Although the chapters are not yet finished, I am soo excited on what they’ll do next.

How will their relationship develop?
