SUPER cute. One of my fav oneshots as of rn!
To be honest even for a oneshot there’s not much going on. It’s mainly a simple very short light read nothing more, but I like it as just that.
Nica & Killey’s interactions were pretty adorable. If this ever became an actually serialised manga [which I highly doubt it would be, but “if” it did], I would most likely read it.
This oneshot was made many years ago so it uses Aida’s old artstyle. But honestly I feel like that artstyle fits this manga more than their current artstyle would.
If you’ve read “Toilet Bound Hanako Kun” (Aidairo’s
...
current ongoing manga) you’ll notice that Killey looks a lot like a certain someone. I know Aidairo sometime takes characters from their old works and rehashes them for other works, so I’m wondering if Sakura’s character (the “certain someone” in question) originated from the Killey character in this oneshot. I mean outside of the character design being almost identical even their aloofness matches

Now My Little Monster was something…
Did I like this “something”?
Yes, ofcourse.
But is this “something” slightly questionable at times?
…Also yea
=== * First things first, I really quite like Robico’s artstyle * ===
It’s not the “typical Shoujo-y artstyle”. As in, you won’t find any overly fancy or flowery panels in this manga. And while I do love my fair share “Shoujo-y panel” moments, the artstyle of this manga actually lends well to the series itself. Like, it quite fits the mood &, SPECIFICALLY, the characters of this manga. The series does have a bit more “serious”-ish tone at times & Robico’s artstyle each & everytime manages to
...
convey the emotions of the characters & tone of that particular scene perfectly.
=== * On to the actual characters in the series:* ===
I feel like the characters are the “meat” of this story. As in, this is a very character driven story. A story where the characters themselves are the “plot”. & Quite frankly, to me that was enjoyable I though it worked well & was nice to read. The characters themselves are also pretty complex, & that complexity itself is fairly well written too.
Take the FL Shizuku for example:
She is flawed but also charming in her own right. Her closed off-ness may be a turn off for many people but I actually quite like her a lot. At times, in the earlier chapters of the manga, she did come off as inconsiderate, or even sometimes straight up rude, which again, may lead to some people disliking her, however, the entire manga is also her journey to realise where these “faults” of hers lie. Like sure, there’s nothing inherently wrong with not wanting to get out of your comfort zone. However, if it’s to the point where you are borderline rudely pushing away people when they simply want to get along & are being inconsiderate of their feelings under the pretext of, “They are being an annoyance” then you too are no better than the “inconvenience” you deem the other person to be. & This whole thing is the stuff going on with Shizuku.
Haru & Shizuku are complete & total opposites. Haru specifically has a major problem regarding respecting other people’s personal boundaries. Aka, given the fact that Shizuku is such an incredibly closed off person, this leads to a lot of the earlier conflicts between the two & the rest of manga is essentially focused on developing these two from there on. Having the two recognize where there faults lie & learn how to COMMUNICATE & overcome their own shortcomings.
Additionally, the side characters too are also given a lot of focus. Which is great specially considering how important of a role almost all of them play in how our main leads develop.
I’d honestly love to go more depth into the character developments of all the characters in this series. However, that’d be going into major spoiler territory so I’ll stop here.
=== * Now I like this manga a lot, however I do also have my own qualms with it * ===
First of all, this did not feel like 52 chapters. It definitely felt longer. I specifically remember when I was reading this manga 2 years ago I thought to myself “Oh man, I wonder which chapter I’m on. I’ve been reading this for a long time now”, only to then see the chapter number realise “I’m on chapter 16??”.
One of the reasons for THAT being: Haru & Shizuku’s relationship.
Now listen, I love these two just as much as the next person & I like the complexity of their relationship probably even more. But, not in a particularly bad way & also not in a particularly good way either, & in the nicest way possible: Their relationship had me coughing blood ☠️
Their relationship truly taught me what patience is 😃😭
It is the reason why I can patiently sit through series like “Your Majesty, Please Spare me this Time” & “Father, I don’t want this marriage” (series where the misunderstandings [incase of the latter] & the complicated relationship between the main leads [incase of the former] gets resolved really slowly but surely].
As I said, the best way to put this would be “ This manga taught me patience”, & at the end of the day all I can be is thankful honestly.
Shizuku & Haru’s constant, “ I love you….maybe…(?)”, was just, something…
At this point, what’s hilarious to me is whenever Haru would go “I love you Shizuku“, Shizuku would go, “…am I in love with you…(?)“ & whenever Shizuku would go, “I’m inlove with you Haru“, Haru would go, “….am I inlove with you…(?)“. Just the constant alternating flip flapping these two were doing can only be funny to me at this point. Maybe I’m losing my mind, I don’t know.
Also Haru is a bit too touchy. & Yea I know that’s the whole of his character development & that he learns what one’s personal boundaries are & learns to respect them & understand why they even exist. & I love that character development but like in the initial quater-half of this series Haru was bordering creepo territory. It wasn’t that comfortable. & While I like him I won’t not acknowledge this about him.
Also these reasons are probably why I don’t think I can casually reread this series.
Like, I love this manga, but unless or until I plan to binge read the entire thing, I don’t think I personally can handle all the shenanigans enough to reread it in any other way lmao
=== * In conclusion * ===
I quite like this manga.
I read this like 2 yrs ago & even till now it stands to be one of my personal top favourite Shoujo manga.
I legitimately teared up during Shizuku’s backstory. It wasn’t particularly sad but it hit me in the heart. Same with Haru’s backstory I almost teared up.
=== * Would I recommend this series? * ===
I mean as long as you keep in mind the points that I mentioned, sure.
I personally liked this series because of its characters & their relationships. & If you share the same tastes as me & are patient enough you’ll probably end up enjoying this series as much as I did! On the other end I do know a lot of people that didn’t enjoy reading this series, but that’s fine too

Oh wow, I did not expect to like this series as much as I ended up doing!
Frankly speaking, when l started this series l kinda dreaded trying to read it because l quickly just wanted to get into Queen’s Quality. l read the 1st chp & then put it on hold for a while because l got distracted & became uninterested.
HOWEVER, this series - IT WAS REALLY GOOD.
The artwork is quite pretty, & I’m grateful to the author for putting so much effort in the panels, I appreciate their hardwork.
As for the world, it was really interesting. The characters too were lovable and I
...
easily found myself curious over how the author might develop them & their story. All the while being invested in what was going on currently too of-course. Call it overreacting on my part but chp 15 made me literally tear up.
Idk, l just rlly ended up enjoying the series. It did a good job at setting up stuff for Queen’s Quality. I’m quite interested in stuff related to the Queen, Fumi’s memories, both Fumi’s & Kyutaro’s past,.
If you’re thinking of reading this but are still unsure l say go for it! These 15 chps were incredibly engaging & fun to read!!

Now what was this story even? I remember reading it quite awhile ago, but thinking back on it now what was even going on?? 💀
Like the all characters were abysmal. None of them were legitimately fun to read. None of them were really that much compelling either honestly. Ig the only point of interest I found between them was their relationships, but that was simply because there was a lot of drama.
The way ML & FL’s relationship started off in an incredibly weird way. I still don’t know how & why the FL ever even fell for ML.
Like srsly what was the reason?
...
I remember when l 1st read this series, l tried to imagine FL’s lines in a different way than in the context she was saying them in. So like she’ll say smtg like, “Step away from me” to the ML while blushing or smtg, I’d try to imagine that she’s saying this because she’s uncomfortable, & cuz she legitimately wholeheartedly wants to get away from the situation that the ML has put her in [I'm mostly referring to the 1st arc here when the ML & FL 1st meet]. Though after a while ig l gave up.
The series also has the problem with romanticising SA, but like at the same time the series also can’t make up its mind whether it wants to portray SA as bad or hot.
The story is misunderstanding galore btw. Whenever ML & FL start to become happy even just a tiny bit, stuff happens that makes everything a mess. Like this happens everytime without fail [Biggest example being the arc where FL & ML escape to a cute cottage house or smtg. This is probably the only arc where I was genuinely finding the interactions cute, & I was happy for the FL & ML. But then obviously stuff happened, & it eventually led to one of the BIGGEST misunderstandings in the series].
I will give it to the author that they are atleast somewhat good at writing these misunderstandings. Like there is a legitimate reason most of the times as to why these misunderstandings spring up. Though all of this does get cancelled off by the SHEER QUANTITY of these misunderstandings, & how they close to each other they happen.
FL & ML’s relationship is incredibly toxic. Their relationship is not healthy for either of them. It’s draining to not only read, but very clearly for the both of them too. It’s kinda like a drug. They both know it’s bad for them, they both know it might kill them, but they keep coming back to it.
Frankly speaking, l kinda wish by the end of the series FL & ML had just decided to go their separate ways. They could've just went on their merry ways. Maybe cuz of all the psychological hit the war & the manipulation of those around them took on them. Realising how draining being in a relationship with one another had become, & how much stuff between them was not working out. & l know the author wanted to show “Oh, despite all the hardships their love came out top~”. But their relationship was just srsly not it. l rlly wanted FL & ML to realise that neither of them were ever truly happy in this relationship. Like give it a more realistic ending or smtg, l don’t know.
[Side note: The FL started off as extremely timid & weak. But after the main time skip she does become incredibly strong, & she stands for herself (ig), etc. But it doesn’t matter cuz ALL of that gets trashed whenever the plot demands it, but then gets brought back again just like that]
The art was good. But it’s nothing rlly special, & when it comes to the males sometimes l feel like the artist may have a same face syndrome.
[Side note: l never figured out if the ML’s subordinate & FL’s brother had a thing going on. I sometimes like to think they might have...]
If you wanna read this then go ahead. It just personally wasn’t for me

Y’know I was kinda liking this story, but I’ll unfortunately have to drop it.
I honestly don’t mind gore or violence that much, & I was enjoying how while the MC, was obviously pretty op, he still realistically had some trouble against his bullies & stuff. And how some stuff didn’t always go the way he planned it to go.
The way MC tortured others (& vice versa) was pretty creative too. But this story has WAYY too much rape in its plot. Unnecessary amount of rape.
In the start I didn’t rlly mind in the start much it kinda got to a point where
...
I’m calling BS.
The characters are all highschool 1st-2nd years right? So about 15-17 yrs old? & You’re telling me that these 15 yrs old are out here running whole ass prostitution rings? How have none of them been caught yet? There’s even a character who AT SCHOOL goes around raping almost every girl he comes across. & Brutally beats them & their boyfriends up if they try to fight back or run away from him. Again, how did none of the teachers ever found at least something out??? What is the school doing when so many of the female population at their institute is getting raped & SA’d on the daily ON SCHOOL GROUNDS? This whole thing that I mentioned is a well known fact amongst the students too. Its practically an open secret. How have the teacher never heard anything about it?
Honestly, with all these delinquents & assaults around the city what is the police doing? You’d imagine that wherever they live the justice system SUCKS because clearly all these rapists, criminals, & murderers are getting away scot free. But apparently that’s also not the case because the story does show us that the police, at least to some extent, are very capable at their jobs. Specially with how easily they connected the recent murder cases to MC & made him their prime suspect. They are good at their job but only when it comes to the MC. Any other case they literally don’t even seem to bother. It just seem like the police is only good at their job when the plot demands it, & when the plot needs more drama
There’s atleast one rape or SA mention every 4-5 chps (on average). To the point rape does not even seem like a serious issue in the story. It’s just thrown around whenever the plot demands the things to get a tiny bit more darker.
Basically this is a VERY average revenge story. I’ve read better & I’ve read worse. It’s not very realistic if that’s what you were hoping for. Though the art can be pretty good at times.

This was such an adorable story!!
First of all, l quite liked mangaka Mochida Maka’s artstyle. All the characters were incredibly cute & were also surprisingly pretty expressive. Though the manga is mainly in black & white the effects left behind from Shizuku’s magic are a lot of the times in pretty pastel colors! Like if she’s flying, sometimes her magic broom will let out these cute little stars which will be in soft pastel colors, or if she does something with her magic, the sparkles & “poof” from her magic will be in light shades of pink, yellow or blue. & Honestly it’s really pretty
...
to look at & quite a nice touch imo!
Both the leads were also very lovable, & it would be hard to not cheer them on! I liked Shizuku’s arc & I also liked how Misono too grew through out the course of this story (despite his development not being as noticeable/obvious as Shizuku’s).
Another thing I’d like to add is that this story is more of a light read (or atleast for me personally). Like the type of story you can read on the bus back home, or while your just chilling out (& I don’t mean this in bad way). The pacing is also kind of fast, but I feel like it was handled well. Nothing felt too rushed, & it felt like the characters were able to do things on their own pace properly.
I honestly really recommend this manga. It’s sweet, it’s charming, it’s wholesome & all in all it’s pretty enjoyable. If possible I’d like to buy physical volumes myself too! It’s quite a nice read & I had fun reading it.

What happened??
No like genuinely, I want to know what was going on with the production of this manhwa.
But first, I’ll tell the goods of this series & then I’ll get on with the gripes I have with it...
The art, first of all, was really good.
I didn’t really care for the smut, however, what really interested me was the angsty storyline about Giselle being in an abusive relationship, & how Isaac & her both try to find their happiness in their cruel environment.
Both of them went through really bad treatment. However, they, together, were able to heal (kind of).
And I liked that.
That was so
...
sweet.
The antagonists were kind of 1-dimensional, but the protagonists were being fleshed so well.
But then what happened??
Now while the manhwa was being released, there were SOO many hiatuses.
It honestly seemed like it was going on a hiatus every other month. Heck, even before the ending was released (which I’ll get to a tiny bit later) the manhwa once again went on a hiatus.
Which like is kinda worrying. The hiatus themselves not that much. But the quantity of them is.
This, combined with how, with the ending, it legitimately seemed like the author just wanted to get the series done & over with, is making wonder what was going on behind the scenes. & Whether the author themselves is doing alright.
[I’ve heard that Lehzin is infamous for not treating it’s authors the best. So like, God knows what was happening behind the scenes]
& I think whatever was going on behind the scenes was a leading factor to whatever the heck the ending was.
Like the ending itself seemed SUPER out of context.
F*ck being rushed, it almost seems like they had plans on what they wanted to do with S2 but then the story got cancelled.
The ending made me want to cry for literally all the wrong reasons
To provide reasonings why the ending was total BS:
In the last chapter, it is revealed to us that Isaac is the killer vampire that was introduced in the latter half of the series. Finding this out, Giselle is extremely shocked, however, LEGITEMATELY 2 mins later, she is no longer shocked & follows Isaac only to fricking shoot him off a cliff. She walks away leaving him to die
Pardon???
Tell me how that makes any sense, cuz it literally does not.
First of all, how tf is Isaac the killer vampire?????
Im pretty sure there’s even a scene in the manhwa where Giselle & Isaac are having sex, while the killer vampire is out killing. So like unless or until Isaac can fricking multiply that sh*t makes no sense 😭
Also, they don’t even look ANYTHING alike. Like LITERALLY NOTHING. Completely different faces.
ALSO, why did Giselle’s character do a 180???
She was SOOOO out of character in both the finale & epilogue, to the point she might as well be somebody else pretending to be Giselle.
Speaking of the epilogue, it makes even less sense.
In fact, it all added fuel to the dumpster fire that was the ending.
In the epilogue, Giselle is now working at an orphanage. It has been a good few years since the finale. But then there one day she meets with a child who looks EERILY similar (& by that I mean identical) to Isaac. And the story ends with the killer vampire looking at two if them from a forest or whatever.
HUH??????
Now we all have our theories about what the epilogue means but my head straight went to:
Ok so Isaac turns into a child when he is severly wounded or in a weakened state. So does that mean he somehow managed to survive the gunshot??? Which means that that child is actually him???
I mean, that’s literaly what his (child) weakened self looks like. And it would also make sense as to why he looks like a child too.
And also, if the killer vampire is looking at (supposedly) baby Isaac & Giselle, that means the killer vampire is still out there. Which in turn means that Isaac wasn’t actually the killer vampire, & that he got shot for no fricking reason 💀
OR OR,
I also wondered if maybe that child was not Isaac.
But that would lead to 2 things:
A) Isaac is still out there (since we saw the killer vampire). And that he, who somehow miraculously survived, is back in his strong state, & may be out for revenge or something ig
B) Isaac did actually die that day. However, given the appearence of the killer vampire in the epilogue, he wasn't the ACTUAL killer vampire & his lover just fricking killed him or no reason.
[Both of which are arguably WAYY worse]
In conclusion, no matter which way you try to twist the finale & epilogue, neither make any sense.
I would’ve much prefered that they just drop the manhwa. Yea, that’d suck, but that ending was so atrocious I’d rather that it just doesnt exist.
Also, no, I wouldn’t suggest reading this manhwa. I mean why would I????
But either way, I hope the author is doing ok.

I lost interest after S1.
Listen, it’s in no way a bad story but there are also SO many other stories which have done this exact same regression plot but done a bit better.
I mean, don’t get me wrong the Kierra is indeed somewhat of a badass, but she’s not that interesting of a character to me.
I really wish more development was given to more of the supporting characters too. Cuz up until the S1 finale they are all still pretty flat.
I mean, take MC’s younger brother for example. Outside of being a sweetheart to his sister & caring alot about her, he doesn’t
...
really have that much of a character. Take him out of the equation (aka take him out of the story), & the story narratively will remains mostly exactly same. Meaning, other than just being supportive of Kierra in the background, he for the most part, does not have his own character motivations or anything [in S1 at least]. I mean I would’ve loved to see how his relationship with the duke PERSONALLY was [as Kierra out of the equation]. Was the Duke attentive to him at least? I mean the Duke didn’t rlly give a sh*t about our MC, but him & Kierra (If I’m remembering correctly) were born from the same mother & were pretty close, so was he treated pretty badly by the Duke too? Like, it seemed as though the Duke only had a personal vendetta against MC [for reasons in plot obviously] so I’m real curious how he treated his son. But we get info on none of that. Not much is shown of the younger brother’s PERSONAL relationship with his father, other than “Oh yea they probably weren’t that close either, given some context clues”. And honestly, the same goes for every other supporting character who isn’t that one knight guy. They’re all pretty flat for the most part. And like yea, I know it’s only S1 so I’m not gonna ask for the author to completely flesh them all out, but like at least make them their own person, instead of having them be connected to the Kierra’s character in one way or another. At least give them some points of interest, that’s what I’m trying to say.
The pacing is kind awkward at times too. It’s like the story can’t make up its mind whether it wants a slower pacing or a faster pacing, so you just get this weird mishmash where each chap has a different pacing. Plus the entirety S1 is just setting up whatever is to come in S2, nothing much else. And while this of works in series like “Remarried Empress”, I don’t rlly think it did this story much of a favor, specially with its awkward pacing.
Not rlly a big fan of the artstyle either. Sometimes it looks like the characters have bug eyes. Plus, the characters look very generic, none of them have very special or unique character designs.
All in all, the story is quite cliche. None of the novel spoilers interest me enough to continue this either. Right from the chap 1 you know how the story will play out if you’ve read enough these regression “revenge” manhwas. And I mean l don’t rlly hold this fact against this series, it’s just that it has nothing special going on that’ll make me wanna continue reading. Ig I can confidently say tho that you know what you’re getting into & it delivers exactly that (aka Kierra being cool). So if you like those kinds of stories, hey, you might also enjoy this one too.

If you were to look up the definition of the simile “Slow as a slug” on google, in the examples section, the name Lady Baby will show up.
I’m going to be honest, I don’t HATE this manhwa. I actually liked it a lot at first. I binged read it & kept up with all the updates. That is, until like chap 130, which is where I dropped it.
It has all the variables for a really sweet family fluff & ALSO a fairly nice revenge manhwa. What it lacks is a proper equation.
I love family fluff, but if it’s coming at the expense of the
...
main plot, then I don’t want it. I read until chap 129-130 of this manhwa & even by then we aren’t any closer to cracking the case of the past timeline than we were in like S1 [Chapter 129/130 were in like S4 or S5 I believe]. This is all mostly because for about 100 or so chaps Lippe just wanders around doing stuff completely irrelevant to what’ll help her save her family (Or atleast according to the plot in the later chaps)
Lippe is somewhat of an adorable FL. Or at least her young self kinda is. But she’s also a total Mary Sue. She’s perfect (even as a toddler) which makes her borderline creepy.
Also, I hate her harem. As of S6, there are atleast like 6 or 7 people in it. Which is A LOT of people. And honestly, the story would be a lot of better if some of them did not exist. Like I’m sorry, but Lippe speaking full fluent English at age 2 (I think?) did get the point across that she’s perfect & intelligent & [insert more adjectives]. I don’t need 7 other characters expositioning her perfectness to me.
Some of them are interesting characters. But some, either don’t need to be in her harem, or need to straight up not exist.
A lot of people do not like the singing aspect of the story either, but I don’t personally mind it. Mostly because it was implied even earlier on that it’ll become somewhat significant. And it is very important. But exactly because Lippe wanders around doing filler stuff more majority of seasons 1-3, this “significant” aspect of the story takes about 100 chaps to become relevant.
Also, the way the singing aspect is written sometimes makes the manhwa come across as an early 2000s Disney channel musical.
It does not help that if the outfit Lippe was wearing in chap 109 was given a bit more layers it would look like it was straight out of an early 2000s Disney channel musical.
[Actually, if you want an example of exactly what I meant earlier about how the singing aspect is written like it’s by Disney, then just read chaps 108-110.]
Also, can we just talk about the actual ML???
Callisto appears late into the manhwa. But just like the singing plot, despite him being a very important character & also somebody who has an (almost) direct connection to a major source of conflict for Lippe (the emperor), it takes 100 chaps before he starts making a regular appearance. But even then, the story doesn’t even properly write his relevance. It more focused on his yandere-ness & how he’s possessive of Lippe.
Why????
We already have a yandere & possessive character - Yurian.
A character, who mind you, unlike Callisto, is also intriguing. Yurian’s character arc is one of the best ones in the manhwa (Not because he’s just THAT great. But mostly because other than him only 1-2 characters have proper character development…). Honestly, because of all this I thought he was the ML instead of Callisto.
But nah, he’s just harem member #3.
You know what, maybe Callisto is right to be jealous. The author poorly utilises usefulness. And also Lippe is out there collecting harem members like pokemons.
[Maybe that’s why Lippe opened that dumb toddler parlour or whatever. To earn money for poke balls.
Also, when I compare them to pokemons I genuinely mean it. Like how initially there is some struggle when you are trying to catch one, but once they are successfully in their poke ball, they’ll do ANYTHING for you? Yea, that’s like the exact process of Lippe capturing the hearts of almost all the harem members smh]
Whenever some new character gets introduced & they aren’t outright a fricking @sshole they get added to Lippe’s Pokédex. And the next thing they do is take away Callisto’s relevance & how regularly he appears (which already isn’t super regular for atleast about 100 chaps).
Believe me when I say that this manhwa has priorities & Callisto is NONE of them 💀
For one, almost all of Lippe’s harem members appear on the manhwa season covers but Callisto has appeared not even once. We are on season 6 & counting…
What’s worse is that it’s heavily implied that Callisto & Lippe were lovers in the 1st timeline. It’s even implied that he is ALSO a potential regressor. But given how sparingly he appears, the foreshadowing takes seasons.
So yea, if I were him, I’d also be locking any guy who comes to close to Lippe in a fricking shed. It’s not even about love, his character is being wasted away just like the main plot.
Also why is Harrison still relevant????
He’s not even interesting at this point, he’s borderline annoying. He’s also fricking weird for simping for a 12/13 year old (Lippe) even though he’s like 18/19 year old. The brothers try to keep him away from Lippe but he keeps coming back like a pest. And we know he’ll probably be appearing EVEN MORE cuz he’s on the S6 cover. For some reason, he’s also the only harem member who appears on 2 covers. Whereas, Callisto is out here scavenging for bits of screentime.
-You might notice I didn’t bring up Lippe’s actual character, her depth as a character, character development, etc etc.
And that’s because there is none. She’s a Mary Sue, so she doesn’t have any flaws. Which is why there is also zero character development. She’s static as heck.
-You might notice I didn’t bring up any of the side characters that aren’t the harem members.
And that’s because most of them aren’t memorable.
-You might notice I didn’t bring up much of the overarching plot.
And that’s because the story doesn’t properly bring up what it’s supposed to be until after 100 chaps. But even then, it’s weirdly paced, & isn’t even properly clarified. The major plot has something to do with the emperor & the cultural conservatism that spreads in the empire. Specially in the future after the war. Somehow, this is all related to Lippe’s family in the 1st timeline. And how currently (as of AFTER 100 chaps) Lippe is trying stop this all. A big way Lippe is trying to combat this is by popularising music for entertainment, rather than just religious choirs or something. A big risk, given if the general public does not agree with her viewpoint, she’ll probably be loosing more than just her noble status. But it’s a unique plot for a rofan manhwas such as this one.
Though all that gets thrown out the window since the story keeps focusing on building Lippe’s harem, or family filler instead. Plus, just the way it handles the whole conservatism plot line is badly done. The singing plan is badly done too. And I mean ofcourse it is, it’s a 12 year old & her fanboys/girls doing this. For a manhwa that’s so weirdly focused on different types of songs, you won’t even call it a “music genre manhwa”.
There’s also more happening in the novel & the emperor is involved in bigger sh*ts & plans.
But when will we get there?????
Season 12?????
Tbh I’d be more than interested in reading along for the main plot. But I’m dropping it because:
-The harem is annoying. SPECIALLY, Harrison. The story needs to STOP focusing on it.
-Callisto’s character got beaten to the ground
-Almost all the antagonists in this manhwa are cartoonish. Including the Emperor. Thus, I can’t take any of them seriously
-As of S5 Lippe is still 13…Please GROW UP.
-The story doesn’t even focus on the main plot most of the time, so what’s even the point.
-Somebody pointed out that in later chapters the panelling is almost ALL closeup of the characters & their upper bodies & I couldn’t unnotice it.

If I had a dollar for each sleepless night this manhwa has caused me, I’d have about 4 dollars.
Which is not a lot, but I do not forgive this series for the pain it has caused me mentally
Now l wanted to like this series, l seriously did. In fact, l found it was pretty interesting in the start!
The art was pretty, Liandro's whole curse thing was pretty intriguing, & with the slight angst sprinkled on top, I honestly saw it having the potential of being one of my top favs.
So I continued to enjoy reading it just like that...right? Right??
As you saw by
...
my rating, l didn't end up liking the series as much as l thought l would. On the contrary, I ended up hating it.
This story had a lot of potential in the start, but it ultimately falls completely flat. & Alot of it is cuz of it’s main characters, well..... let's just say not having the best of writing. & Eveline suffers from horrible writing THE MOST.
Common sense is absolutely dead upon Eveline.
She questions things that should be very obvious, but sweeps the actual things that should be questioned under the rug.
She is seriously no better than Eleonora (the OG FL) she threw a tantrum over prior to her transmigration (Or at least how Eleonora was in the OG novel Eveline read).
Making stupid promises like the typical, "Young Master Liandro, I won't leave you". Yet also simultaneously thinking: “l do plan to leave you as soon as you meet the Eleonora”.
Like HUH???
Is your skull empty??
Why do you plan on completely separating yourself from him when you know full well that even after meeting Eleonora [OG FL] he will continue being mistreated & completely neglected, until he meets his unfortunate & pitiful demise?
What type of shit plan is that??
It's fricking laughable that despite how hard-headed Eveline is with her plans, if you think even a tiny bit too deeply about any of them they'll all crumble to dust.
To begin with, why did Eveline even want Liandro to end up with Eleonora so badly??
She knows full well that only a painful death awaits him (Or at best a tragic heartbreak leaving him miserable) if he falls for Eleonora, so why does she so readily push him towards that ending?
This woman cried herself to sleep over his tragic end, yet NOW she wants him to actively pursue his own death?? For what reason?
She promises to treat Liandro better than Eleonora treated him [in the OG novel], but she seriously doesn't??
At least in the novel, Eleonora HAD the decency to give him a straight reply, "Sorry I'm already in love with the Crown Prince". Whereas, our MC COMPLETELY disregards majority of Liandro's feelings. He quite literally BEGS for her to not leave him, yet instead of even giving him a proper reply, she has the gall to once AGAIN LIE straight to his face.
Eveline constantly asks dumbass questions like, "Why is Liandro soo attached to me?"
Like, WHY DO YOU THINK SHERLOCK!?
He was being abused & severely neglected by almost everyone around him since a very young age. He lived in a filthy room until you came along. You were the only person who did the BARE MINIMUM towards him. Why wouldn't he try to grab onto the ONE person who reached out to him under these circumstances??
Not only this but she also constantly pushes him away when he is no longer in a pitiful state.
She treates him worse than Eleonora ever (directly) treated him in the novel. Specially when being by his side starts to become inconvenient for her own self.
I know the the author didn't intend her to be one, but Eveline's actions make her seem like such a big hypocrite.
Also why is her entire character role in the story SO dependant on Liandro's existence to begin with?
Majority of her relations, to some extent even her personality, & SPECIALLY her role in this story, are all for some weird reason directly or indirectly dependant on Liandro as a character existing.
Like, Eveline only became friends with Liliana BECAUSE Liandro ordered her to accompany Eveline, majority of the things that happen b/w Eveline & the other maids are DIRECTLY related Liandro’s closeness & possessiveness of Eveline, etc etc. Heck, even her being "caring" (one of her already very few character traits) is also deeply reliant ON LIANDRO as she is only ever caring towards him (& no her helping out, bg maid xyz that one time does not make her "caring & kind" character).
Take him out of the equation & her entire role, purpose, & “character” in the story INSTANTLY falls apart.
& This is not good thing!
If the MC in your story doesn't even have THEIR OWN character foundation, they aren’t well written.
To begin with does she even have her own story?
We know practically NOTHING about who she was in her previous life. Considering how good she was with maid work, maybe she was some kind of caretaker in her previous life? But that's just a mere guess on my part.
Her life as Eveline (the girl MC transmigrated into) is no better either. Eveline had no previously established relationships, she has no family that we know of either. & Heck, we arent even given Eveline's exact age. We are literally just given an approximate guess based on her physical appearance by the MC.
Did-...Did Eveline just poof into existence just as MC transmigrated into the novel world?
Is that what what happened?
Why does the MAIN PROTAGONIST- THE MAIN POV character not have any presence prior to the beginning of the story??
Liliana (a side character) had a presence, so why does Eveline not have one??
She has zero individuality, to the point where that one maid from the start of the series who steals sh*t from Liandro has more of a story than her!
Why does she have a habit of stealing? Is it cuz of some family problems?? Thats more questions than l ever asked about Eveline's backstory.
[I couldn't fit this anywhere else but in Chap 9 Eveline mentions finding Liandro's dad (who absolutely neglected him) gorgeous.
As a writing choice, why this was even included l will never know.
Like, "By the way l know Liandro's dad is shitty & he abused & neglected his son, but he's kinda gorgeous isnt he?" (Not an actual quote but you get what l mean).
It’s not like it did anything to move the plot nor was it ever brought up again, so you even excuse as it being “necessary to the story” or something. It was just so out place honestly, so why even include it…?]
Talking about story, Liandro's story had potential.
Yet 50+ chps, a 2nd season, & a 3 yr time skip in, this man continues to act the exact same way he did when he was 13 with barely any changes in his attitude towards anyone who isn't Eveline. Which becomes even more odd once realize that his growth was both physically & mentally stunted at age 13…
The author absolutely wasted Eveline's character, atleast give Liandro SOME character development. But no he gets none.
For the record, his absolute obsession & possessiveness of Eveline is not “adorable”. It just makes me see him as a more pitiful person as it makes realize that, other than Eveline, this man doesn't even have anyone else close to him. It doesn't make me see their relationship as “cute” like the author intended, it just makes Liandro seem even more tragic.
Also can we talk about how absolutely sh*t both of their chemistry is??
Nah nah scratch that, do they even have chemistry???
I wanted to ship the main couple very much, but the story failed to convince me on why l should even care about this ship.
Quick question, why did Liandro fall for Eveline?
Um...because Eveline did the bare minimum & lend a helping hand to a child who was being absolutely neglected? Good, she's decently nice person ig. But then you start to realize outside of that the story never gives you any other legitimate reason as why the relationship is good/would be good romantically in the long run.
Like, as soon as Liandro’s curse breaks, Eveline starts distancing herself from him. & Then sometime later she leaves him for 3 yrs, so it's not like in that time we are given any more reasons either.
Liandro's love for Eveline is only ever shown stemming from the fact that she was like a saviour to him. It's likely the author intended for him to have other reasons for falling for her but how are we, the readers, supposed to know them when there are no implications to any of them.
[Quite frankly, Eveline treated Liandro kinda harshly too while she was pushing him away, so that just doesn't help this case AT ALL]
The type of mental dependency Liandro has on Eveline is seriously not healthy in a romantic relationship.
Before Eveline & everything else he needs straight up therapy.
He doesn't need Eveline's love he needs a therapist.
Just as Eveline's role in the story HEAVILY leans on Liandro's existence, Liandro's mental stability HEAVILY leans on Eveline's existence.
Ain't no way thats cute.
His obsession with Eveline is borderline tragic in of itself. This obsession of his, & his want to keep Eveline always with him, is eerily similar to his obsession with wanting to be with Eleonora in the OG novel. [& For the record Eleonora & Liandro's relationship is supposed to be tragic & unfair (for Liandro) in the OG novel. So why are there weird parallels b/w this & the relationship we are supposed to be rooting for…??]
I'm not even going to go over why Eveline fell for Liandro as other than him having abs the story just never touches upon it.
She leaves for 3 yrs & then when they meet again she just had feelings for him. Ig it just happened off screen somewhere.
The story doesn't seem give a sh*t about its own main character so I'm not even gonna bother tearing my hair out over her.
[Side note: For some reason after those 3 yrs Eveline also becomes insensitive.
She cracks jokes to herself about Liandro's execution & death, & the rebbillion he lead (in the OG novel). Which just completely contradicts her character that was established in chp 1. She had a breakdown & cried herself to sleep, praying & promising she'd treat him better, but now she's here saying, "If by any Liandro does try to rebel in the end....l'll just stop him by hitting him with a stick" whilst having an 'owo' face (this is an actual quote btw)
In nearly 60 chps, the characters in this story have no progression, so can we just not make it worse by having them completely contradict whatever few traits they had?].
In conclusion, as this manhwa went on it just developed more & more in the negative-y direction.
The character writing in series is horrible.
Eveline is both a bad character (from a writing pov) & a bad love interest. It would've been better if she just simply stayed as a big sister/motherly figure character for Liandro. Because at least that was properly established & was developed at a proper pace. Their romance was handled very horribly, giving us little to no reason as to why we should think this relationship would ever be healthy in the long run. I told
There's not as much to say about Liandro, just that man stays the way he was at 13 throughout the whole story, which is. It's just not.
[I told myself when I dropped this series that these two leads can never be good parents & that their children will probably not be raised properly. And I was 100% correct. Their children are f*cking insufferable. Arguably, even worse than their parents]
The character writing in this series is a tangled mess. Think a little to deeply into any their motivations & it'll all come crashing down.
I dropped this series about 60 chps in. It's seriously not that good of a story. It's hard for me to even call it mediocre.
It had potential in the 1st few chps, but it ultimately just drowned it's own self in the vast ocean of the similiar "l isekai’d into my favourite novel" stories.
There's literally no reason for me to continue this when none of the characters that matter to the narrative are even appealing.
The art is quite good though. It's definitely pretty, specially the eyes. But I will say, I do not understand the creative decision to make 13, going on 14, year old Liandro look like a toddler. I get that he was supposed to be malnourished, but not even that will make an almost 14 year old look 5. Actually, in the promotional comic for this series’ novel, Liandro looked closer to his actual age while also looking visibly malnourished/sickly. So honestly, I don’t know why the artist didn’t decide to that, specially considering, him looking 5 did not do his and Eveline’s age gap favour. But either way, if this artist works on another project, I will definitely check it out. I quite like their art.
I'd only recommend this to you if you either:
1) Wanna cry over Eveline's writing & how badly Liandro & Eveline's love was handled,
OR
2) Just want to completely shut off your brain & read something to waste your time, whilst also looking at pretty pictures.
I can kind of see why some ppl might like this manhwa, but this story just caused me severe headaches.
Interesting premise, below mediocre writing.
