Note: My reviews are always based on watching the entire season, ensuring a thorough perspective.
The final season of "Fruits Basket" earns a heartfelt 10/10 from me, delivering a conclusion that's both emotionally rich and deeply satisfying. While "Kamisama Kiss" remains my top shoujo anime, this final season of "Fruits Basket" came incredibly close, captivating me with its detailed exploration of character relationships and wrapping up the story beautifully.
Highlighting Its Excellence:
This season masterfully concludes the intertwined tales of the Soma family and Tohru Honda, providing closure to the complex emotional and romantic developments we've followed. The growth and resolutions of these characters are portrayed with such
...
care that every moment feels significant and rewarding.
The emotional journey this season takes us on is unparalleled. It manages to blend happiness and sorrow in a way that feels authentic, drawing viewers into the characters' lives with empathy and understanding. The storytelling is impactful, leaving a lasting impression with its thoughtful exploration of themes like love, acceptance, and the courage to move forward.
Visuals and Sound:
The animation continues to be a highlight, with its vibrant and expressive quality that brings the story's heartfelt moments to life. Regarding the music, it slightly improves this season, better complementing the emotional beats of the narrative. Although the music hasn't been a standout feature for me, this season it effectively enhances the storytelling atmosphere.
IN CONCLUSION:
"Fruits Basket" Final Season is a remarkable achievement, balancing emotional depth with satisfying narrative conclusions. It's a close contender to my all-time favorite, "Kamisama Kiss," because of how well it handles the characters' journeys to the end. This season is a testament to the series' overall quality, offering a fulfilling conclusion that resonates with warmth and genuine emotion.
For anyone who appreciates stories about growth, love, and overcoming challenges, this season is a must-see. It's a fitting farewell to a series that has provided so much joy and emotional resonance, ensuring that the journey of "Fruits Basket" will be remembered fondly.

Note: I only write reviews after watching the whole season, to share complete thoughts.
"Fruits Basket" Season 2 has been a wonderful surprise, making me even more a fan than before. I'm happy to give it a big thumbs up with a 9/10 rating! This season brings more of the touching story of Tohru and the Soma family, with even more laughs, tears, and heart-warming moments.
What's New and Great:
This season picks up right where the first one left off, diving deeper into the characters' lives. It brings out more about their past and what makes them tick, especially focusing on how they all grow and change.
...
It's like watching friends become their best selves, which is really satisfying.
The story feels smoother this time around, making it easier to get swept up in all the emotions and adventures. For those who, like me, wished for more focus on Tohru and her connections with the Soma family, Season 2 delivers that in a big way, making the relationships and the magic of the story shine even brighter.
Characters Shine Brighter:
Everyone gets a chance to shine this season. Tohru, Kyo, and Yuki, especially, go through a lot of growth, showing us more about who they are and how they overcome challenges. It's inspiring and makes you root for them even more. The show introduces some new faces too, adding fun and depth to the story without making it feel crowded.
About the Music and Art:
The beautiful animation continues to bring the world of "Fruits Basket" to life with bright colors and expressive characters. My thoughts on the music haven't changed much from last season – it's there, but it doesn't always stand out. However, the overall feel of the show is so strong that this is just a small thing.
IN CONCLUSION:
Season 2 of "Fruits Basket" steps up in every way, making it a must-watch whether you're new to the series or have been a fan. It's a story filled with love, growth, and the kind of magic that comes from understanding and caring for others. No matter your age or where you're from, there's something in this season for you. I can't wait to see where the journey takes us next.

Note: All my reviews are written after I've completed watching the entire season, never before.
"Fruits Basket" Season 1 rejuvenates the beloved story with modern animation and deeper character exploration, yet leaves something to be desired in pacing and romantic development. The season excels in showcasing the emotional depth of the Soma family and Tohru Honda, weaving intricate backstories that highlight themes of acceptance and resilience. Each episode adds layers to the complex tapestry of relationships and personal growth, making it a compelling watch.
However, the series' focus on side characters, while enriching the narrative fabric, often sidelines the development of Tohru and her future relationship. Fans
...
longing for a romantic progression akin to "Kamisama Hajimemashite" may find the slow burn between the main characters a tad frustrating. Despite these moments of yearning for more, the episodes dedicated to characters like Hanajima offer delightful insights into friendship dynamics, standing out as memorable highlights.
Unfortunately, the music didn’t leave a lasting impression on me, blending into the background without significantly enhancing the emotional resonance of key scenes. This lack of memorable musical accompaniment (including the opening and ending themes) represents a missed opportunity in a series so rich in emotional depth.
Character development shines, particularly in episodes revealing Kyo and Yuki's vulnerabilities. Yet, the anticipation for significant romantic scenes frequently finds itself overshadowed by the series' broader focus. The introduction of the Zodiac members adds a mystical layer to the story, though at times, it feels like a double-edged sword, diluting the central narrative thread.
IN CONCLUSION:
Season 1 of "Fruits Basket" 2019 lays a solid foundation for emotional and narrative depth, with its strength lying in character development and thematic richness. However, the longing for more pronounced romantic elements and a tighter focus on the main characters' relationship leaves viewers like myself with mixed feelings. The season sets the stage for potential, promising a continuation that could hopefully address these desires. The blend of heartache and humor, alongside the promise of growth, keeps the series endearing and watchable, but with reserved expectations for the romantic storyline to unfold in future seasons.

The third season of "The Rising of the Shield Hero" is an improvement over its predecessor but falls short of the compelling narrative established in the first season. The primary issue that hindered my enjoyment was the breakneck pacing of the story. While a fast-paced narrative often elevates shounen series, in this case, it seems to be a detrimental choice. Rather than allowing viewers to savor each intense and meaningful moment, the show races through key events, leading to confusion and a diminished overall viewing experience.
Although some episodes, particularly those set in the arena, were exceptional, even these moments deserved more development instead of being
...
crammed into single episodes. The rush to reach the long-anticipated battle with the Phoenix may have resulted in a lackluster presentation, potentially losing interest among viewers.
In terms of character development, the conventional path involves a gradual and steady growth for characters aligned with the story's progression. Naofumi and Raphtalia exemplify this, undergoing substantial changes in behavior, perspective, and mental health. However, the other three heroes, Motoyasu, Ren, and Itsuki, failed to resonate due to rushed character development. Their transformations, from Motoyasu's abandonment to Ren's defeat, lacked the depth needed for viewers to appreciate the change.
One glaring flaw is the heroes' inability to see through Malty's manipulation, even after witnessing her trial. Despite being a consistently cruel and despicable character, the lack of insight into her motivations leaves her as a one-dimensional antagonist. A series with such potential could benefit from a more nuanced antagonist.
Regrettably, this season's disappointment led me to rate it even lower than its predecessor. The promising start devolved into an ending that didn't feel conclusive. While I'll continue watching to see how the story unfolds, my enthusiasm has waned.
IN CONCLUSION:
"The Rising of the Shield Hero" Season 3, while an improvement, succumbs to the pitfalls of rushed pacing and underdeveloped character arcs. The series has lost some of its initial allure, leaving me with a sense of disappointment and tempered expectations for its resolution.

Spy x Family Season 2 is a rollercoaster of emotions with a somewhat disappointing finale.
This season skillfully blends humor and character development, taking viewers on a journey through a variety of emotions. The conclusion of a specific arc is commendable, highlighting the series' ability to maintain an engaging narrative.
The slice-of-life moments are executed well, portraying the characters in entertaining situations that contribute to the family feel of the show. The sound, visuals, and animation, consistently top-notch since the beginning, continue to enhance the overall viewing experience.
The diverse cast, each with unique skills, contributes to a well-balanced dynamic within the "family." Humor, exemplified by characters like
...
Bond and Franky, adds a delightful touch. Unexpected emotional depth, especially in Franky's interaction with Bond's training, elevates the characters beyond their initial roles.
Yor's arc on the boat is noteworthy, providing long-awaited character development and thrilling action scenes.
However, the surprise ending with a filler in the last episode prompted mixed reactions, including some disappointment on my part. Despite this, the overall sentiment appears positive, as the series maintains its charm and captivates the audience with adorable characters and a well-crafted narrative throughout the season.
IN CONCLUSION:
Spy x Family Season 2 stands out as a very good anime, offering a satisfying blend of emotions and humor. While the last episode may not have resonated with everyone, the series as a whole remains a notable addition to the anime landscape. It's remarkable considering the mangaka's initial perspective on Spy x Family as more of a rehabilitation project. Despite this, the series has become one of his most famous IPs, and I hope his engagement with it evolves positively, ensuring both creator and audience continue to find joy in the journey.

Goblin Slayer Season 2 has been personally a bit disappointing this fall. It significantly falls short of the intrigue and impact of its first season, which left a mark with its interesting premise, decent animation, and a gripping soundtrack. However, Season 2 struggles to maintain the same appeal.
While the controversy surrounding the first season served as effective promotion, Season 2 takes a concerning turn with explicit warnings about violent themes in each episode. This, along with a change in animation studio to Liden Films, hints at a noticeable toning down of the show's previous intense violence and horror.
The capable handling of violence by White Fox
...
in the first season is replaced by Liden Films' less experienced approach. This results in a decline in character quality and action scenes lacking the dynamic energy that defined the original, transforming the show from an R18+ to a more family-friendly rating.
Although the story remains somewhat passable, Season 2's pacing stumbles in the latter half. The attempt to delve into Goblin Slayer's character starts well but loses momentum. The elven kingdom arc feels underdeveloped, resembling filler with little substance. The rushed conclusion of the final arc leaves loose ends and omits characters teased earlier in the season.
Overall, Season 2 becomes a disjointed mess, showcasing the challenges of mishandling a sequel. Indifference or inexperience from the animation studio overshadows any remnants of the show's initial strengths.
Ironically, the very scene that brought the show into the spotlight contributes to the sequel's downfall. The dilution of disturbing themes, a fate many shows have faced, leaves Goblin Slayer Season 2 struggling to recover.
IN CONCLUSION:
Looking ahead to a potential third season, one can only hope for a correction, steering clear of the pitfalls that plagued this disappointing sequel. The show deserves a return to the essence that once made it memorable, overcoming the shadows cast by its missteps.

The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 offers a rollercoaster of entertainment, seamlessly blending humor, action, and unexpected twists. From the start, the series establishes a unique tone, highlighted by Cid's charismatic yet tactless character. The writing style maintains a perfect balance of wit and sincerity, enhancing the overall viewing experience.
Each episode unfolds with a captivating narrative that keeps fans hooked, and character development shines as we witness both the comical and profound aspects of our protagonists. The chemistry within the Shadow Garden is a standout, creating a dynamic and endearing group bond.
The animation team deserves applause for their meticulous attention to detail, especially evident in
...
the first episode, which sets the stage for a grand finale in Season 2. Despite any budget constraints, the animation remains impressive, complemented by stellar voice acting that brings the characters to life.
The season's climax, without giving away any spoilers, is a comedic masterpiece, showcasing the series' ability to blend absurdity with genuine moments. The plot's evolution from Cid's indifference to the deeper, emotionally charged elements keeps the narrative engaging and multifaceted.
In conclusion:
The show successfully builds upon the foundation laid in the first season, delivering a delightful and well-crafted continuation. With a perfect blend of humor, character dynamics, and unexpected developments, it leaves audiences eagerly anticipating the next installment. The upcoming movie, which takes us back to the anime's origins, adds an exciting dimension to the story. I can't wait to watch it!

"Dr. Stone: New World" catapults us into a realm of scientific ingenuity, heartwarming camaraderie, and unforeseen challenges. The series seamlessly picks up the mantle from its predecessor, embarking on a captivating journey that blends science fiction with a generous dash of humor and a sprinkle of emotion.
The plot unfolds at a breakneck pace, akin to a rollercoaster ride through the uncharted territories of a petrified world. The characters, each a distinct piece in the intricate puzzle, contribute to the series' charm. Senku's genius continues to dazzle, making the seemingly impossible not only possible but entertaining.
The introduction of new characters adds depth to the narrative, with
...
each bringing their unique flair to the Kingdom of Science. From the eccentric Ryusui to the enigmatic Why-Man, the ensemble cast keeps the audience on their toes, anticipating every twist and turn.
What stands out is the series' ability to seamlessly blend scientific concepts with humor. The crafting of technology from seemingly primitive resources, combined with the characters' quirky interactions, creates a delightful viewing experience.
As we delve into the mysteries of petrification and confrontations with formidable foes, 'Dr. Stone: New World' raises the stakes while keeping the core theme of scientific exploration intact. The animation and visual aesthetics maintain the high standards set by the previous seasons, ensuring a visually pleasing spectacle.
In conclusion:
'Dr. Stone: New World' isn't just a continuation; it's an evolution. The narrative, characters, and scientific marvels converge to deliver a thrilling adventure that transcends the boundaries of its genre. As the story unfolds, leaving us at the edge of our seats, one can't help but marvel at the brilliance encapsulated in this world. I'm really looking forward to part 2!

This lengthy special episode, spanning almost an hour, is dedicated to the introduction of a new character who takes center stage: the eccentric Ryusui. I must say, all the fanservice dedicated to this man, who desires everything in the world, didn't displease me at all. We get a nice couple of minutes with Ryusui walking around naked, flaunting his chiseled muscular chest and monologuing about how the world is once again his, until Minami decides to ruin the moment by offering him pirate clothes 😆.
In my humble opinion, however, the real star of this episode was Gen, who earned another million points from me. Together
...
with Senku, they form a formidable duo of genius, charisma, and cunning, creating hilarious situations. The way Gen manages to obtain the cooperation of even the toughest individuals, like Ryusui, by making them believe they have gained when, in fact, it is the opposite, is as scary as it is fascinating 😂.
Ryusui turns out to be surprisingly capable, not just 'all smoke and fire,' immediately putting his great talents to good use, both as a captain and as a businessman.
The episode follows its typical structure, with a slower first part dedicated to the development of science and new technology, and a second part more focused on action. In this case, the climax is a battle between science and nature! Who will win?
'Sosoruze, kore wa!"

The visual aspect of Dr. Stone: Stone Wars is truly impressive, enhanced by an excellent starting point. While I haven't read the manga yet, a bit of googling reveals that Boichi's drawings are simply wonderful – incredibly detailed with expressive and vivid faces.
However, the real strength of this series lies in the incredible effectiveness with which the boundless love for science of the charismatic protagonist, Senku, is conveyed. Using science, Senku aims to awaken all those who have been petrified and bring technological levels back to pre-cataclysm times. On the other hand, Tsukasa sees science as a threat, especially considering the disasters caused by rulers
...
and the scarcity of resources. Their points of view seem hopelessly opposed, leading Senku to entrust the precious cave producing the miracle remedy for petrification to his opponent. The war's objective is to definitively conquer the cave and the precious liquid.
As Senku himself says, where resources are not enough to feed 7 billion people, then those 7 billion people will find a way to create more resources. This is how science works. The message is incredibly profound, highlighting the vital importance of using intellect in a world united under the single banner of science for the common good, progress, better living conditions, and maintaining a healthy balance with the natural environment.
Senku's epic journey has already shown the wonders that can be achieved with science. Every object, from the smallest to the largest, is created with immense effort, and the manufacturing process is illustrated in a simple way, complete with explanatory drawings for each step. The terminology is appropriately correct, to the point that it's explicitly advised not to try Senku's experiments at home!
Despite the 11 episodes seeming few, they manage to concentrate on the key elements of the story well. Like the first season, this second season also maintains a narrative rhythm balanced between scientific moments and adrenaline-filled scenes, including chases, small clashes, and an engaging final battle.
In Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, you witness not only Senku's new creations but also appreciate the growth of other characters, each contributing to the development of the Kingdom of Science. Science, logic, intellect, and cunning become fundamental in a war where physical strength cannot be relied upon. Senku's ability to create wonders will keep your eyes glued to the screen.
In conclusion:
Whether you are passionate about science or not, it doesn't matter. Dr. Stone: Stone Wars satisfies in every aspect – visually pleasing, narratively touching, dynamically fluid, and scientifically correct. It is a unique and original anime that deserves all the attention for the great work done and for the message it conveys. It's a work that will appeal to anyone passionate about science and, in my opinion, could even be used in schools!
