Very minor spoilers.
Wonder Egg priority, the anime nobody really cared about until it began to air. I was roped in to the series rather early, getting in to it in episode 2 after getting it recommended. Even after the incredible rise of popularity this series has received during its time airing it is still criminally underrated and more people need to watch it.
Story 9/10. The story is slightly complicated but I’ll do my best to keep it short. This series follows Ai Otho and three other girls who she meets and becomes friends with. Each of these girls have lost someone

close to them to suicide and are fighting to be able to se them again in this alternate Egg world.
To many this series will be an eye opener and bring them a new outlook on life. Even if this may not be the case for everyone this series contains strong and highly important themes which are ever so prevalent now. The way it is able to convey the idea of bullying, rape, identity and love through the use of these main four girls and who they meet and make connections with, as well as the power that a true friend/ friends can bring.
Characters 9.5/10 .One particular character, Momoe has a real struggle trying to get others to see her for who she really is and who she wants to be showcases this idea perfectly. The same goes for Ai when she meets Koito, stopping her from spiralling down a dark, dark slope, and for Rika with her situation at home and how much light the other girls bring to her, and finally Neiru who has struggled with her inability to make friends and be a normal young girl.
Art 9.5/10. This series is beautiful in both its story and messages but also in its aesthetics. The characters are really beautiful and as well as this they are perfect for portraying the nature of the characters. In particular Ai Ohto’s design was truly mesmerising and played a perfect role in fulfilling the job that it has in the story along side that of Momoe’s. The art style is not necessary all that unique but is still highly memorable and a pleasure to look at. The backgrounds were also something to really take into account as they played a major part in allowing us to see the beauty of this series. The visuals of the opening of the series in particular stand out in this regard.
Music 8/10. Though I personally don’t pay the most attention to the sound of most anime, with exception of ops and eds I still find it necessary to mention. The opening of this anime is truly beautiful with it being a near perfect suit for this series. It isn’t as catchy as many other ops but it is great to listen to as you prepare for the coming episode and immerses you into the series. The general soundtrack though I rarely came to notice it seems to perfectly blend in with each of the scenes and set the mood allowing me to become further invested in the moment.
Enjoyment 9.5/10. This series is in no way perfect or to be left of criticism, but it shouldn’t be derived of the praise it gets either. I think that this is a must watch for almost anyone containing elements that each person could enjoy. I can’t wait for the extra episode to wrap up some things. Thank you to the staff for making this despite all the trouble they went through making it. For me currently the series is about a 9/10 but following the final special episode it could shift to anywhere from an 8.5 to a 10.
