Both of these manga are similar due to the fact that both include the use of games to settle a fight. S.J.M's Mc(s) is more depressing and uses deceit and luck to win, but in a believable way. N.G.N.L Mc(s) is more upbeat/lazy and uses wit and luck to win. Characters in both manga are also choosing to follow through with this "new" life as they both feel that their previous life was just a bore. Anyhow, both of these manga simply provide the reader with the same feeling, thus if you enjoyed one, you will probably enjoy the other

If you liked Sayonara Piano Sonata add

...then you might like Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso add

Both of these manga are about music and both consist of a piano. Both Piano players have/had a problem with being able to play the piano and this tells the story of how they go about overcoming it. In Sayonara, The guy is the one helping the girl overcome the problem, whilst in Shigatsu it is the girl that is helping the guy overcome his. Note - both of these mangas are taken from the guys point of view, thus if you read either one of them, you see someone overcoming his problem, and also you see the helper helping the help wanter overcome hers. They are both also sets in schools. Thus if you liked one of these mangas, you will, without a doubt, enjoy the other. READ IT >.<
