Set in post-World War II Japan, the story revolves around seven young boys who find themselves confined within the grim confines of a reform school. Each character represents a distinct archetype, and their diverse backgrounds and personalities bring an extraordinary depth to the narrative. The brilliance of Rainbow lies in its ability to develop each character with meticulous care, unveiling their past traumas, dreams, and hopes as the story progresses.
What sets Rainbow apart is its unwavering commitment to portraying the harsh realities of life during that era. The anime fearlessly explores themes of abuse, injustice, and the relentless struggle for survival. It refuses to shy
...
away from depicting the dark underbelly of society, while simultaneously showcasing the indomitable spirit of friendship and the power of human resilience.
The animation and art style deserve special mention, as they effectively capture the melancholic atmosphere of the story. The use of muted colors and gritty visuals conveys the oppressive nature of the boys' environment, enhancing the sense of despair and hopelessness. The attention to detail in depicting the period's historical backdrop adds authenticity to the overall experience.
One of the anime's greatest strengths lies in its superb character development. Each member of the seven-man ensemble undergoes significant growth throughout the series, displaying immense courage, determination, and unwavering loyalty. Witnessing their personal transformations and the bonds they form with one another is nothing short of inspiring. Moreover, the relationships between the boys feel genuine and heartfelt, beautifully capturing the power of friendship amidst adversity.
Some might argue that certain plot developments can be predictable or formulaic. However, the exceptional execution and emotional impact of the series overshadow any minor shortcomings. The pacing is masterfully handled, creating a perfect balance between heart-wrenching moments and occasional glimpses of hope. The intense drama keeps viewers on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the next episode.
To fully appreciate Rainbow, be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster. It's a series that delves deep into the human condition, exploring themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the pursuit of a better future. It serves as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of light to strive for.

Dimension W is an anime that stands out as a hidden gem within the vast landscape of the genre. Underrated and often overlooked, it offers a refreshing blend of science fiction, action, and mystery that captivates viewers from the very beginning. With its intriguing concept and well-executed storyline, it deserves recognition for its unique take on the futuristic world it presents.
Set in a not-too-distant future, Dimension W revolves around the existence of "coils," devices capable of harnessing unlimited energy from a parallel dimension called "Dimension W." However, as humanity grows dependent on these coils, a darker side of this newfound power emerges. The story follows
...
Kyoma Mabuchi, a skilled bounty hunter with a deep mistrust for coils, as he gets entangled in a conspiracy that threatens the delicate balance between dimensions.
One of the anime's greatest strengths lies in its world-building. It presents a visually stunning and meticulously crafted universe that effortlessly blends the familiar with the extraordinary. The animation is consistently polished, showcasing vibrant landscapes, detailed character designs, and fluid action sequences. The artistic direction is complemented by a fitting soundtrack that enhances the atmosphere and adds depth to the overall viewing experience.
The characters are well-rounded and memorable. Kyoma Mabuchi, the stoic and determined protagonist, undergoes substantial growth throughout the series as he confronts his own past and unravels the mysteries surrounding the coils. The introduction of Mira Yurizaki, an android with human-like emotions, brings a layer of complexity to the narrative, as she becomes an unexpected ally to Kyoma. The interactions and dynamics between the characters are engaging and contribute to the overall sense of intrigue.
While the plot may seem complex at times, it maintains a steady pace and keeps viewers on their toes with its intriguing plot twists and revelations. The anime skillfully balances action-packed sequences with quieter, more contemplative moments, allowing for character development and exploration of deeper themes.
Furthermore, it delves into thought-provoking ideas such as the ethical implications of technological advancements, the consequences of unchecked human ambition, and the nature of humanity itself. These themes are subtly woven into the narrative, making viewers reflect on their own relationship with technology and the potential ramifications of its misuse.
However, Dimension W is not without its flaws. Some viewers may find certain plot points or character arcs to be underdeveloped or rushed, leaving room for additional exploration. Additionally, the series concludes with a sense of open-endedness, leaving several questions unanswered. While this may be frustrating for some, it also invites speculation and allows for personal interpretation.

As a huge fan of the manga and the first season, I was incredibly disappointed with this. While the first season was one of my favorites of all time, this slaughterhouse (pun intended) felt like a completely different show, and not in a good way.
The biggest issue for me was that they left out LITERALLY THE BEST ARC from the entire series and one of the best character, which was a huge disservice to the source material. The pacing was off, and the story felt rushed and disjointed, making it difficult to connect with the characters and their struggles. Furthermore, the changes from the source
...
material were unnecessary and didn't add anything to the story.
To make matters worse, the animation quality was inconsistent, and the last episode featured a like a slideshow shit that was a disgrace to the series and the fans. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the second season of 'The Promised Neverland,' and it's a shame to see such a fantastic series being mishandled in this way.
What god do I have to pray to, to get this series a Brotherhood adaptation?

The anime is a masterpiece that blends action, suspense, and horror elements in a seamless manner, leaving me at the edge of my seat throughout the entire series.
The story revolves around a high school student named Shinichi Izumi, who finds himself in a life-threatening situation when his right hand is replaced by a parasitic alien named Migi. The series then delves into the complex relationship between Shinichi and Migi as they try to survive in a world full of other parasitic creatures that are preying on humans.
What I loved most about this anime is how it tackled various themes such as the meaning of humanity,
...
morality, and the value of life. The characters were well-developed, and their actions were realistic, making it easy for me to relate to their struggles.
The series ends with some loose ends, and we never get to know where these parasitic creatures came from. While this may leave some viewers feeling unsatisfied, it also adds to the mysterious and ominous nature of the parasitic creatures, leaving room for interpretation and speculation.
The animation quality is top-notch, with the fight scenes being especially captivating. The sound effects and music were also impressive, adding to the overall immersive experience.
Overall, I highly recommend "Parasyte the Maxim" to anyone who loves anime that is packed with action, suspense, and thought-provoking themes. It is a must-watch series that will leave you wanting more.

I never thought that my number one favorite anime would be a rom-com, since I'm more of a shounen, battle, superheroes type of guy. However, Toradora was the first romantic anime I ever watched, and it quickly became my favorite.
From the moment I started watching it, I was hooked by its unique characters, heartfelt story, and beautiful animation. One of the things that I love most about Toradora is the way it portrays its characters. Each one is so complex and well-developed, with their own flaws and strengths that make them feel incredibly human. From the feisty Taiga to the kind-hearted Ryuji, every character in
...
this show has something to offer, and I found myself invested in their individual journeys from start to finish.
But what really sets Toradora apart, in my opinion, is the way it handles relationships. The romance between Taiga and Ryuji is so beautifully crafted, with each moment feeling genuine and earned. I appreciated how the show took its time to develop their feelings for each other, rather than rushing into a relationship like so many other romance anime do.
The humor in this show is also top-notch, and I found myself laughing out loud more times than I can count. But it never feels like the humor detracts from the emotional weight of the story; rather, it adds to it by highlighting the characters' personalities and their interactions with each other.
I've rewatched Toradora around 5 times now, and every time I rewatch, I focus more on how the different characters behave, even side characters. It's amazing how even the minor characters are so well-written and bring so much to the story.
Overall, I can't recommend Toradora enough. If you're looking for a heartfelt, character-driven anime with plenty of laughs and tears, this is the perfect show for you. It's no wonder that it's my favorite anime of all time, and even though I never thought I'd enjoy a rom-com this much, Toradora has truly won me over.

Can't understand what is so good about this anime for those who say it was the best title in 2020...
It was boring as hell. The story was lame and pretty much pointless.
0 character developement either.
Overused "omg she's changing I shouldn't look..." bull$hit.
I watched the whole thing but couldn't find any enjoyable moment at all.
The ending was pointless as the story led to nowhere.
But the most positive thing about this... that I finally have an anime that I could give a 1 rating from the bottom of my heart.
The house fire was something that had potential to move the story forward but it didn't.
