I once saw this series when I was in about 6th grade, and I always felt a tie to it. When I finally read it about 4 years later, I realized how incredible it really was.

It's my number one manga series because of its ability to always make me smile and feel better about the world. Its happiness formed around life at "Hinata Inn" seems to be contagious to the ones who read it. There are sometimes sad turns within the series and the unfortunate luck of Keitaro's life (though some may find his luck to be very good indeed), ...

Elfen Lied (Manga) add
As noted within its genre, Elfen Lied is a tragedy. In my eyes, it's the most beautiful tragedy to have been created. This is not to say the content of Elfen Lied is beautiful in the way that it should be in reality as well. I mean it is beautiful as being a work of art that draws out powerful emotions of sadness and horror at the acts that go on within in.

It's unfortunate that many people claim it to be only about gore and nudity thus completely ignoring the plot. True, the first glimpses of Elfen Lied show ...

SPOILERS BELOW: PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THIS SERIES!

Alright so I'll say this right away: my argument will most likely be biased because of my love for this series (but then again who isn't biased to some extent). I've seen quite a few people post about how [C:] tried and failed to upkeep things they created, tie in Economics properly, ect. Personally, I feel that if you think these things that there is either a reason or you're not looking hard enough.
