Somewhat generic, but not at all at the same time.
Its refreshing to see anime with darker story without overblown fanservice. Without over the top action and MC, that doesnt behave like a generic teen moron.
Why would i rank it in so high regard? Well... that would be the ending. Without sunshine, rainbows and glitter, full on melancholy and dred.
Yes, there are stereotypes, but i cant say i remember other anime with the exact same spin and flavor on them.
So yes... Id say it was refreshing change of pace to all those isekais and whatnot, that studios spits out all the time now

One of my most favorite shows. It has Comedy, Love and Action. It has funny, interesting well developed characters (in all areas), lot of ridiculous stuff happening and it has Panda and the Red-head girl... What else do you need, to have fun?
Well.. the thing that I personaly cherrish the most about this show is the fact, that the autor managed to take the GENDER TRANSFORMATION, and use it in comedical love story with the matrial arts action, and leave out the fanservise and the inappropriate echi that ruins almost every new anime today. Note: One more thing... Ive never ever before (or after) seen any ... Jan 6, 2018

I would never guess this somehow weird animated show will have so interesting story... Even if it is not going to too much depth, it goes stright to the point and leaves its mark.
I must say, that after wathing this show, I somehow feel the similar, as after finishing the reading of the Ushio to Tora manga... Somehow puzzled and anctious and charmed all at the same time. (now I guess I know how the woman feel :D ) Its aweasome. Has great, semi-epic/ultimate ending. Interesting characters, that have right amount of depth to them and have nice, fresh storyteling. Overall great piece of psychedelic anime, that ... Jan 5, 2018
Well, slice-of life in the apartment with the good ghosts and stuff like that... well... i kinda missed the point to be fair.
Character developement practicaly didnt happend, and overall it felt, like the story is not moving in any direction, which didnt actualy happend even in the final episode in my opinion. If I was to say, that this show felt plain as the chest of the loli character, i would be praising it. Still, the animation was nice and there wasnt any unbearable fanservise included, so it was at least watchable. In comparation with the Magetsukan Kitan (manga with the similar story) I must say ... Lets first say, I did found this movie, after it poped out on me at the movie database when I was browsing net.
So I watched it, and... lets leave a disclaimer here: - I am realy big fan of the Dungeon and Dragons games, and I realy like this stuff. This movie, (for me) somehow managed to evoke the same feel of all those games and adventures. Which realy made me happy, and pointed me towards the seccond movie, that I realy enjoyed. So, if you are DnD fanatic like me, I guess there isnt any downfall in watching this for you... For the rest ... Dec 18, 2017

Seccond movie made from the Dragon nest game environment realy hit the sweat spot of mine. In contrast to the first movie, this story is centered around less characters, which given them more screen time and room to interact and develop.
Even tho, Story-vise it isnt anything outstanding and it uses all the old movie/anime clishes, it realy doesnt loose its momentum, and throw you into the seat and wont let go, until the post credit scene, which leaves you with the funny smirk on the face. This kind of storyteling realy makes it kid-friendly, even taking in consideration it gets somehow scarry at some point ... |
