I think this anime is way better than it's current competition. I'm not talking about the best of the best but I think it's around above average. I wouldn't say after 27 episodes that this isn't worth your time or it's one of the best anime I've ever seen. If you didn't know, this anime was made by the studio "SILVER LINK." who have made notable anime like Non Non Biyori and Kokoro Connect. This studio doesn't make the worst anime but they make sure to try and at least make something out of nothing.
Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen or Mission of Yozakura Family is focused
...
on a family of spies. It's name should actually be Spy X Family because this show is actually perfect for that name. They did a great job with covering about spies from never let your guard down to becoming deadly like Agent 47 from the Hitman video game series. There are however some things that I don't like about this show.
This show tried to aim for the shounen tag but I feel like they failed to maximize or bring out the big impacts from certain arcs. If I were to compare this show to Hunter X Hunter, even an episode of HxH is more meaningful than a couple episodes of Yozakura. Of course HxH is a legendary anime and it's unfair to compare it to Yozakura but I think this show could at least have some better executions with emotions and such. Shounen is meant to be epic and action but Yozakura feels like a children's show.
Taiyo isn't really a bad character but he fits the needs of your typical shounen MC. His "wife", Mutsumi Yozakura isn't really a great character despite caring for Taiyo and her family. I don't see Mutsumi as someone I really care about same with Taiyo because of how their stories align and both having dark pasts. In life we have to move on from the pasts and learn from it but in this show they rushed or left out some things that could make their backgrounds more impactful than it is currently. Sure there are high stakes with them being spies but I don't feel the desire to continue watching Yozakura if it's heavily centered around their family. The other main characters are actually cool but they're pretty much just there to connect the dots.
As someone who loved SAO and Food Wars, it was cool to hear a voice I recognized but I felt like it didn't match his character. The voice acting is actually great, they had a great cast other than a few characters. The animation isn't bad but nothing too crazy which is why I haven't brought it up until now.
Final Thoughts:
Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen is not by any means a masterpiece nor a boruto type show. This is there to ease the collection of anime you can choose from instead of those bad and rushed isekai. I think you should only watch this is if you have a deep connection with your family or don't have anything to watch. If you're waiting for something great to come out next year or anytime if the future, Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen would disappoint and satisfy your needs at the same time.

I have to admit, if it weren't for Solo Leveling I wouldn't watch this ever. I think I enjoyed Solo Leveling so much that I wanted more of it and this is one of the recommendations that I looked up, "The Unwanted Undead Adventurer".
The story starts with Rentt the MC as a lvl 1 mafia that ended up discovering a lvl 1000 type dark souls boss. Unfortunately Rentt was easily defeated but wakes up as one of the "lowest class of undead monsters" which is a skeleton. I'm not going to lie, the story really starts so slow that I felt like passing out but
...
I don't think the story is really that bad.
Since you hopefully read the sypnosis, Lorraine Vivier helped Rentt to live rent-free literally. Lorraine's design is obviously for fan-service and I'll admit that that it helped me with at least having some interest with her character. The other characters are actually pretty wholesome or the "forced" kind of wholesome. This anime should've at least have the slice of life tag because that's how it felt throughout the whole show.
As the story progresses, you will see common trends of helping people and the MC not getting much in return. At this point in my life, I'm used to seeing these things in a lot of anime and shows. Slice of life anime will show good life lessons but each of them will have different executions and this anime is just your average type of slice of life.
The problems I have with this anime are:
Story pacing - It's so slow and like I've said before I felt like passing out.
Characters - It focuses too much on Rentt, it would've been better to have at least balance out the storylines.
Story - It's not bad but it feels repetitive despite the different approaches that actually surprised me.
Final thoughts:
I did come here expecting something like Solo Leveling but if there's anything I learned, it's better to not have any expectations at all. I don't think there's much to gain in this anime, I do think it's story is similar to Solo Leveling but not as emotional or impactful. This anime is basically a slice of life instead of action. The ending music is great but the opening song is questionable. It felt like there's a reason why the MC's name is Rentt, it felt like the author was due in rent (Okay this was a bad joke). Don't compare this to Solo Leveling since that is on a different league of its own compared to this show.
If you loved watching something like this, maybe I would recommend something like "Banished From The Hero's Party, I Decided To Live A Quiet Life In The Countryside" and yes that's an actual anime from 2021.

Let’s get straight to the point.
I love the art style. It enhances the emotions and wholesomeness throughout the show, making it clear how much effort the animators put into it. The visuals play a crucial role in bringing out the story’s warmth.
The characters are genuinely enjoyable. Some of my favorites include Taiki’s best friend, who feels like an anchor—someone who naturally looks out for his friends—and a senpai character who surprised me with his development. The interactions between characters feel natural, and there’s potential for interesting dynamics moving forward.
After watching the first season, the story reminded me of Chihayafuru, another romance anime with a love
...
polygon, but with a different gender balance. Both series share a wholesome tone that keeps you engaged. Skip to Loafer is another good example of pure wholesomeness, though it doesn’t focus on a love polygon.
Now, while I enjoyed the story, I do have one critique. The sports aspect could be integrated more meaningfully. Since the main characters are skilled athletes, I wish their competitions had more weight in the narrative. There were glimpses of matches, but they didn’t feel as impactful as they could have been. Some characters’ athletic abilities are acknowledged, but we don’t always get to see them in action, which feels like a missed opportunity. That said, the pacing itself isn’t bad—if you think it is, try watching Kimi ni Todoke.
Final Thoughts
I loved the show, but I’d like to see the sports aspect play a bigger role. The animation and art style are fantastic, and the characters feel human. If you enjoy wholesome romance with lighthearted storytelling, Blue Box is worth watching.

This anime had potential but suffers from rushed pacing and weak execution. The story follows Yuuya Tenjou, a bullied teen who discovers a portal to another world. After training and leveling up, he gains incredible strength and transforms physically, but instead of wasting his new abilities, he actively works to improve himself.
The issue? The anime rushes through his progress, making it feel like he became overpowered overnight. His sudden transformation also throws him into situations he’s completely unprepared for, but the story doesn’t explore this deeply. The romance is barely developed, and side characters lack depth. While the art looks good in stills, the animation
...
is inconsistent. One scene has great visuals then the next scene isn't really great but not bad either.
Overall, it’s a generic power fantasy with wasted potential. If you enjoy OP protagonists, it might be fun, but don’t expect much depth.

Right off the bat, you immediately get introduced to two brothers. They both have a dream to become famous mangakas as famous as Oda who mad One Piece and etc.,. They both have their struggles but with the strong bond they have, will they be able to overcome the obstacles, their rivals, and anything that can stop them?
That's how a lot of shounen manga is basically, just different types of bonds whether it's family, friends or rivals. This story is based on people who want to be mangakas or manga artists and be successful. So what motivated these guys in the first place? Manga....and also
...
love. Well yeah, their love from reading manga right? Their love from their brotherhood and one day they'll mar--anyways, their love for manga and the love of their life. So that's the story right? Falling in love with manga and falling in love with your crush and overcome different obstacles? Well I guess yeah. That's the story now bye! Well no I'm going to add a few things.
The story itself is actually cool in a way, it's a different take from the usual Dragon Ball and Naruto shows. This review is in 2024 so lately it's been all about Isekai and now dungeon anime possibly. I admire and respect the originality for the plot. The problem here is the consistency. I get that blue haired Mashiro loves Azuki and Azuki loves him but there's no progress so far. It's only 1 season with 2 more to go but just because of their progress I don't feel like watching any more of this. Well of course they'll surely make progress next season. The problem isn't really about the romance but how repetitive the point of the story is. I'm gonna accomplish this and this again and again. I get that to be a mangaka, you have to keep on writing and drawing your manga to expand new ideas but I just don't enjoy the story whether they fail or succeed. Like after they complete or make progress with their manga I'm like; "okay, cool.".
I actually love the characters especially their rivals. I just feel bad about the pacing in general. I would've enjoyed this show more if not for the bad pacing but other than that great characters overall and great OP and EDs. Not a bad anime but felt like it could've been better.

This is very similar to BOFURI (Maxed defense anime). While this is about Noor grinding his parrying in a fantasy world, in BOFURI, the MC there who is Maple is about maxing her defense in a video game.
If you haven't watched those yet, don't worry since I'll just explain if you want to watch this show or not. It's in a fantasy medieval setting, similar to Frieren, Shield Hero, Mashle, basically worlds in most Isekai and just fantasy genre you'll find. If you liked the anime I just mentioned above, then don't watch this show, like seriously.
Noor basically saved a princess right? But he doesn't
...
know he saved someone that is the princess of their country! You know what's worse? Well I won't spoil you or I don't have to tell you because it's going to be like this the whole time. I wasn't really annoyed and I actually laughed a bunch of times throughout the show. Maybe I'm just crazy but no I believe not. That's basically the story guys, he just doesn't know. That's literally the story lol. He doesn't know, even all the characters have no idea. Some informational crisis is happening throughout the story over here guys. It's not as funny as Kenja no Majo but I think you've probably watched better anime with at least a better storytelling than this. Good opening and ending songs to add to my playlist and the animation is actually alright.
This anime isn't worth your time, thank you for reading. Peace ✌️.

The introduction of the first episode wasn't that engaging. It basically goes; "Me and my party went far into the dungeon and weren't strong enough to beat this dragon so my sister got eaten but she managed to isekai us to another world.". That last part about getting isekai'd was a joke and this isn't an isekai but a world that is similar to Frieren's worldbuilding. The MC's party lost but his sister managed to teleport MC and his party back to the surface. Some left and some stayed. So far it's not a bad introduction until the MC
...
decides to go back to the floor where his sister got eaten by the dragon. Plan: Go back down, save sister, hooray! But nope! We need food but we don't have food!
The creator of this show managed to explore and be more creative and said F#!% IT! If monster is in dungeon, monster yummy yummy. What's "cool" is that each episode has its dishes, applying different cultures and of course Japanese cuisine because it's an anime. Depending on the biomes and floors, each monster has its unique taste and some taste similar to others. Compared to Campfire Cooking in Another World which aired last year, this anime is next level and more in-depth (non-intended pun).
Of course, it's a dungeon. It surely has some lore, right? Anyways, this anime is clever, the story writing is clever, food? looking fancy. This is one of the anime to watch this year AND it is definitely and undeniably one of the best food anime of all time so far. Is it crazy good like Frieren? When Season 2 comes out, I don't know if I will watch it but yeah this anime is good and it's worth your time hopefully.

Shangri-La Frontier doesn't suck but it's not really for me.
Well the VR concept in anime is commonly used. Some examples include; SAO (Sword Art Online), BOFURI, and Log Horizon. Each of these 3 anime that I mentioned use virtual reality but they each have their different stories and they're completely different from each other. If I were to compare Shangri-La Frontier to these 3, Log Horizon is more similar to SLF except they don't get stuck in the game but have access to real life.
Shangri-La Frontier or SLF in short, does a great job at showing the VR world of the anime and isn't shy
...
to explain a lot of the mechanics of not only the main game (which is SLF) but the other games the other characters used to play before SLF got popular. At least they explained different moves very well and some game mechanics but I guess the only problem I have with this show is the characters.
I actually don't have a problem with the MC, I think he's pretty chill and a great character but they introduced a possible romance character but then we didn't really get to see her that much in the rest of the season. Maybe they intended for that part to happen in the next season? Probably but another character and the only one that made me uncomfortable from watching is Emul, the bunny. All I can say is from the start she is cute but after a while it's just a neutral and boring character? I'm not a guy that's fond of cute characters in different anime, I don't hate them, some are cool, some are just "alright, you can chill in the show but I don't really care about you" kinda thing.
The story is actually interesting, I'm probably just tired of Emul man but animations are cool, the other characters are cool, music is alright (although I really liked the 2nd ED by ReoNA), overall good show but it kinda slowed by the end. I don't think I'm convinced enough to watch another season but the anime doesn't suck but it's not for me.

I first saw this in Crunchyroll in 2020 but decided to watch and finish the whole thing today (July 20, 2022). This is a Question and Answer format review.
First question: Is Sekai Seifuku mainly a kids show?
Answer: Well, with the uniforms of some of the characters, it is definitely not for kids. One thing I'll do say is that the show really felt like one.
Second question: Should I watch Sekai Seifuku?
Answer: I think you won't gain much from finishing this show. There's so many cliches but I still enjoyed watching majority of the show. There are some waifu tier characters in this show which might
...
mean something to others.
Third question: Should I watch the Special episode?
Answer: I didn't feel like watching it after the main series. I guess you could and I guess it's also a mini sequel.
Fourth question: What is there to like about Sekai Seifuku?
Answer: I'm able to handle the cliches since I've been able to watch so many anime but there are a few things to like about this show; The music (I personally prefer the ending song), as I said from the above the waifu tier characters, the voice acting for most of the characters was actually enjoyable that I want to hear their voices again, and lastly the designs of these characters as in their uniforms and stuff.
Fifth question: What is there to not like about Sekai Seifuku?
Answer: Well, cliches, cliches, and cliches. The story, well now that I noticed, they pretty much combined a 3 volume manga and two short manga at the same time and the result (the anime) for me is a decent experience but I think it's something that is not good pretty much. Also the age difference is like "NANI?" but at this point who cares about it anymore.
Summary: Sekai Seifuku is a show for teens pretty much unless some adults happen to have the same humor of this anime, a show that happens to get it's story misled or confusing but enjoyable, a show with enjoyable characters and somewhat nice voice acting, and a show that is overall a decent teen yet kids-like show that anyone can laugh with some of the jokes in the show.
This is pretty much an anime where if you want to reach a milestone like watching your 100th anime and such, this can be the show although there are way better options out there (compared to this show) like Shimoneta and Prison School.Just watch it if you just wanna chill, just watch it if you wanna see some hot highschool girl do some cool stuff, just watch it if you just wanna understand the usually unrecognised, unpopular, or anime that people don't usually watch and yeah that's all I gotta say about Sekai Seifuku. 7/10 and Itsuka Shikabane is my waifu from this show.

*With Spoilers because I just wanna say what I wanna say.
Halfway through the show, I thought that this was a good show at a certain moment and a bad show at the same time. So, I can get why people get mad on why the MC can make bad decisions at times and all that but sometimes we're forgetting that this dude is pretty much experiencing something that is very unbelievable. Shadows, Haine, and many of these things can stress the fuck out of this man which is why he tends to make these bad decisions (Thanks Mr. Obvious). This guy literally travelled to a
...
culinary school to earn money on his own and provide for his family for 2 years AND probably got the news of his girl dying while still in the school.
Alright, so where is this exactly going? Well, I first want to point out that this show is not shit nor is amazing. This show is on the meh side of things. It's a show that can be amazing or that can be horrendously bad. The second thing I want to point out is a lot us tend to forget that although it is a fictional anime, it still contains some "realism". What I mean is the author tries to make the characters feel human and with that sometimes the characters can get hated since most people feel like they can't be this dumb even though we made dumb decisions too. I think realism is often talked about when it comes to reviews but I guess I just wanted to point it out. The final thing I want to point out is that this show is so balanced. There's the fan service which has panty shots, Hizuru's boobs, and Ushio in a swimsuit. Then there's the violence with the Shadows killing humans to "eat" them because they need them. Then there's some comedy which is pretty much a break from the violence. If you were to ever make a series of show, you really have to have different parts since we tend to just get bored on one particular thing.
Summary:
It's a must watch if you like Re: Zero, like seriously if you want to see another Re: Zero, you probably want to give this a shot. It's also a must watch if you wanna work hard with one hand.
It's not good to watch when you are smarter or more cautious when it comes to life threatening situations and get pissed at the MC many times (then again there's that fan service unless you're a Chad I guess).
Amazing art and animation, beautiful looking baddies, Music is not for me but some will like it of course. The story can get fucked up as in the writing but I don't really care since I enjoyed most of the show.
Anyways, show has been alright for me, would definitely finish the series unless some moment in the show fucks me up but damn have a safe day.
