This is a sequel to the ReLife first season.
If you plan to watch this, it is almost absolutely necessary to watch the entire first season (unless you've read the manga and only want to watch the finale).
"There's something a little sad about fireworks. As they fade, you feel sort of lonely"
How you endure the working life of adults depends on your experiences growing up into adulthood, especially the final stages of your journey towards graduation before being thrown into the hectic working life of an adult.
Our protagonists are given the chance to go through this stage of life once again through the ReLife program. To
...
gain something in their former selves that would allow them to re-enter society as a fully functional member of society.
We follow the ongoing journey of Kaizaki as he fulfills his final period of time left in high school/Relife. Knowing his memory will be wiped after, he attempts to sort his feelings (especially for Chihiro) and how he will follow through enduring graduation with his classmates and friends. Chihiro herself is at a loss of how she feels, but she opens up to her friends now; who are able to support her knowing fully well how she behaves and her personality.
Songs were well laid down, the plot is easy to follow and emotionally strapping. I've never had such a bittersweet high school experience as this but this series made me feel like there were many things I could've done to make it better, the words I should've said and the opportunities lost as time flows and pulls us towards tomorrow.
This sequel comes in a short 4 episode ova, and it saddens me deeply that it wasn't as long as I thought it would be when they announced a sequel.
They did a wonderful job doing it however, whether it was an ironic decision to make it short like the one year time our protagonist spent in their ReLife or not.
"The fireworks may vanish but our memories remain"
And so will this series for me. It was short, enjoyful and fulfilling.
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and to those of you still in high school, these are the final years before your adulthood. Enjoy the small moments with the people you cherish and make the most of it while you can.

Separate girls with separate stories, with relatable circumstances to real life. Its short, simple, and honestly aimed towards male viewers.
The story revolves around separate girls and their lives with their counterpart male characters who are (literally) matched under different situations. A workmate, a salary man who provides security for the highschool girl on the subway, a simple customer, etc. It's straightforward and I personally like the fact that the male characters are realistic; they do have their male instincts(or urges) but they remain nice guys, and being a nice guy rewards you with getting closer to a "bountiful" reward >:)
It doesn't go into the details
...
of how the girls get attached to the male characters but for this type of series, its better off not explaining too much. What you see is what you get.
Pros
Music matches well
Characters are nice
Its heartwarming at times
Motivational in its own way
Cons
Short
Story doesn't really have much of a plot but its fine considering the length of each episode
Just a heads up, I am by no means an oppai fan but this show has truly opened up my eyes to the warmth of oppais.
Oppai is love
Oppai is life
8/10 >:d (cos 8 is oppai)

NOW. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME
- Samurai styled protagonist from the past in present time?
- Mech fights?
- Some slice of life highschool time
- Alien robos crashing from the sky? (I SAYY CRRRIIIERR I SAAYY..nvm)
- Mysteries of the past and the future of humanity at stake?
- Cute gals like Chisaki from Nagi no Asukara (since its P.A. Works)?
Then you got it down right here!
...
For an anime aired during Spring 2016 I sure left this one out. In fact, it didn't get that much attention during the season but boy was I glad I watched this!
Personally this anime was so much more interesting than "Dancecross Charlie" (which was airing during the same time but had a whole lot more publicity obviously because of the franchise) and "Crashlips" (from P.A. Works as well, boy that was horrid).
There are interesting mechfights. Characters with different personalities and their different agendas (and stereotypical characters like AMERIICAANNSS SAYING THEY'RE GONNA BUST BULLETS UP UR A** EVERYTIME HE GOES TO BATTLE) I but I just adoooree P.A. Work's characters from which they followed the same style as Nagi no Asukara! Doesnt the main heroine just remind you of Chisaki?
Not to mention there are some romance in this. No great anime has no shred of romance in it >:)
Man I love how everything unfolded in this anime. Kennosuke's past, the evil alien's plans, and how it ended. Some say it was rushed, I personally thought it was pretty great.
(/Spoiler/ This gave me a bit of nostalgia from Heroic Age. How he opened up that wormhole and unfortunately leaves that girl of his life to do what he must. )
This anime was an overall a super satisfying 26 episode anime that answered the questions I wanted answered, ended the way I'd loved it to end and making me wish there was a 2nd season ;_;

ALRIGHT!
Since this show has a ton of complications and complex (ooh so deep) stories. I'll sum it up to something rather simple.
This action packed space sci-fi comedy romance harem (lel) is wrapped in conspiracies, 3d mech action, space-stuffs, and the constant war between humanity and Iguanas! (I mean "Guanas" *cough*).
So the Second Season is a continuation of Nagate (our ace pilot) and his struggles with:
1- His trans-gendered best friend who loves him (//spoiler: who now lives with him)
...
2- His tentacular action-packed Iguana friend(*cough* Guana) who acts like a kawaai airheaded cutie who's clingy (//spoiler: lives with him too)
3- His ex-gf who's been turned(assimilated) into an evil Iguana, now out in space and trying to gut him and humanity into small Iguana-bite size snacks
4- Oh and maybe his XO (//spoiler: who now barged in and lives with him too)
Nevermind his struggles, this show is filled with comedy, romance, mech battles, Iguana-packed action and a (soo) deep story of humanity's challenge to survive against the Iguana attacks

It's a recap of the entire series in chronological order
The entire series covered in 2 beautiful episodes wrapped in it's gorgeous soundtrack. Definitely appreciate the OST more after watching this.
Too lazy to watch the entire series just so you could watch Dead Aggressor - Exodus? This is definitely the cheat sheet.
Although you'd have a better understanding and appreciation if you actually watched the entire series.
I see myself watching this in the years to come to have a little "Feels Trip" down memory lane.
If you were a fan of this series (which was aired more than a decade ago) and your heart longs for a
...
little flashback, this ova will have you smile in tears of reminiscence :')

It's abouuut BBB---- BBBB--- BUUUHHH--- BREEEADDDDDD
YES I SAID IT RIGHT! BREAD!!
(Now all bread-lovers and bakers can jump up for joy cos this anime makes pastry Light up your life!)
Now the story's about BREAD! That's all its about! I was... awkwardly forcing myself to watch this.. for the girls of course. Story was.. Neegghh-blegh
Frankly I thought there would be more romance, but unfortunately the love seems to revolve around the bread that the protagonists (and his lovely girls) make!
Now the first episode pretty much sums up the whole story; allow me to explain myself why it does
...
.
-Protagonist: Bread maker, wakes up to make bread. Girls love protagonist (obviously), Girls love bread. Girls deliver bread and spread the love. Hence:
Bread = Love
-Finds a hurt cuddly creature, gives bread to eat. Creature heals! and is filled with bread joy! Hence:
Bread = Awesome Healing power
-Serious unsocial elf lurks and shoos them out of forest.Protagonist attempts tries to make good relations with elf and offers bread; Bread denied. Protagonist finds another hot elf, and her tummy rumbles. Gives her bread, and a connection is made! Hence:
Bread = Persuasion Power
-Trouble brews with upcoming storm. Protagonist and girls gets ready for it; makes more bread than ever and spreads news to villagers of the impending doom. Stocks up on breads to survive storm. Hence:
Bread = Survival
-Least but not least. The ending song o_o'' MORE BREEAADDD! D:
