Criminally underrated. I see a lot of other shows on many other peoples posts, list and many things for best anime, I rarely see this show in anyone’s top 10, but that’s all I can say about my gripe with other peoples opinions on their favorite. This show goes episode by episode to create a unique experience that I haven’t found in the rest of my list of anime I’ve watched since elementary school. from your typical shounen, romanticized storyline, and want to delve into a episodic show with a beautiful imagery and themes, I recommend this show highly moreover any other anime I’ve ever watched. This takes the cake for me as my favorite. It follows ginko each episode and new experience with their world filled with mushi, potentially dangerous creatures that he has a completely different view on then everyone else, especially since he can see every mushi, and as the show goes on this gets highlighted throughout each season. He doesn’t see them as dangerous, he sees them like any thing else, something they in the show simply have to coexists with. Each episode follows with a new tale that creates a beautiful show with many different characters with many different personalities. Ginko, one of the most mysterious main characters I’ve ever seen in anime became one of my favorites as the showed continued on and you learn more about him as it continues. This anime has great art that sets it apart from a lot of other shows I’ve seen with the detail in the backgrounds and of the mushi, the snowy episode, and many other things that just make it a piece of art that everyone should watch one day if your into anime. The sound builds on that and makes all of the visuals even better with great work and beautiful soundtracks that I’ve only seen before come out of a ghibli movie. I highly rate this show and it became memorable to me and it became one of the only shows I’ve persistently rewatched even when I’ve taken a break from anime. I’ll watch this show one day with my kids and remember the times I watched it when I was smaller. Truly a different and great experience, I highly recommend this show to everyone, no matter what you like or what you prefer, one day take a try at this and give it a chance and it wont disappoint you.
