Overall for being in the romance genre Toradora does a fairly good job of creating and interesting and engaging storyline along with some very unique and loveable characters that the viewer can and likely will gain a strong emotional attachment to, there are multiple scenes that hint at the final outcome for Taiga, Ryuuji and the others that are immediately followed by scenes that are meant to mislead the viewer into believing something else will happen.
Yes the story was a tad predictable at times however the amount of drama and heart stopping scenes really brings it back in terms of plot.
