A romance anime between the kind of beasts and a human girl meant as a sacrifice for the beast's kingdom. A cute, sweet, with a bit of fluffy, forbidden love story that has a Disney feel to it.
I may be in a minority here, so you should read this review knowing that I dropped the anime after finishing episode 7 to switch to manga, and the reason is the following:
Since the beginning of the anime, I felt a bit wrong about the pacing of the anime. Scenes would switch from one important moment to another without much build up in between them, characters would get
...
so close to each other without seeing them interact much, so I had to assume they did it behind the scenes or something, sometimes deep things wouldn't get explain enough and would happen and go too fast, and that is not that good for me unfortunately. Then when I reached episode 7 and finished it, and in consequence, finished an arc, I decided to go read the last parts of this arc in the manga, as it felt wrong again, especially towards the end... And suprise surprise, I was right. They skipped scenes. Alas, scenes that might be considered not important, as they seem like scenes that can be missed and not lose much when it comes to the main plot, but for me those are the scenes I've been feeling like they were missing and made things feel wrong. Scenes that put more life in that world, more world building and character development shown, that will get me more attached to the characters.
I get that time is short and they need to put everything inside 24 eps, but for me, especially for a story that I consider pretty basic in terms of plot, the action isn't that important as the journey of it. I don't need to be shown only the main scenes, that contribute to the main plot, and nothing else, because that way I am feeling like I look at a summary of some sorts, or just a gift to the manga readers... which is lowkey going against what anime is these days: an ad for the source material which shows only the main action and that's it. But when I saw the appreciation on the internet and the mark this anime had, I thought that maybe this wasn't one of those, but it seems I was fooled a bit. While this anime doesn't feel like an 100% ad for the source material, the 24 eps limit I think made them skip scenes, and a bit too many for my taste.
I am not sure how much they skipped before this or after, maybe it was just this part and I just happened to catch it right now, but given that I had this feeling from the beginning, maybe they skipped more. Can't say for sure, but it was enough to make me want to read the manga and not continue watching the anime.
Story: 7 -- Story is pretty basic. Forbidden love between the King of Beasts and a Human girl that was meant a sacrifice for him. The king falls for her, with a good motive, and things keep happening from there as he tries to protect her and keep her close, and she wants that too. But it is a bit too basic and the presentation made me feel like it is wrong in a way. The ideas were there but the execution was lacking a bit for my taste.
Art: 8 -- Art is done well, calm type of art that has a nice feeling to it.
Music: 8 -- The songs are done pretty well as well
Characters: 7 -- The character seem very interesting and the world as well. All have some depth to them, but again, the presentation was lacking and a lot of stuff became either very superficial, or when something deep happened, because of the lack of build up, it felt disingenuous to me...
Enjoyment: 7 -- It was a goodish watch

While I may have critiqued this anime a bit here, if you really want to watch anime and not read manga, I still recommend this anime for those that want to see some sweet, calm and easy to watch forbidden love type of story, which (as of where I dropped it) is still going strong with the good vibes/feels to it, and are okay with the level of details and the presentation of them in the anime. I personally wasn't, so I will be switching to manga and restart from chapter 1, as I want to get the full experience of the story.

A whole class isekai-ed type of anime, with the MC being a "loner" type... or so it would seem.
I will get straight to the point, this anime is dumb, and not the dumb fun type. It does go onto the comedic route, but it fails. Everything about it screamed to me like this is a 12-year old's written wet dream of an isekai... And after finishing the anime and reading online about what happens in the light novels and web novels after the story (and some stuff that was skipped), I was right on the money. The anime doesn't show anything or reaches the point
...
where stuff really gets off the rails, but I highly encourage you to read what happens after finishing the anime... it will put some stuff in perspective.
The plot again makes the decision to instantly transform some of the classmates into psychopaths/sociopaths, and barely touches onto traumas and things. Everything is sun shines and rainbows, and there are bad guys wanting to do bad things! But it's okay, because everyone will be saved! Everything presented in a childish way! And getting over things in the same way! Meh... Also the plot holes/?-type of decisions made by not explaining stuff are quite a few... And the perfect moments that help the MC exactly with what he needs... There is a reason for that in the anime ig, but it was made up to be able to pull that stuff...
Loner? Nothing about this was loner besides like the first episode. The whole relations between characters are weird af to me... And when I heard that they are 17 and they were acting like they were acting... oh man, imagine my surprise... some act like they are 8 sometimes. I guess they didn't really have much time to work on other characters besides a few, but they do appear sometimes... Without getting into spoilers, let's just say that if someone is strong and showed you that, why are you trying to put him down and boss him around like a child? And why are they taking it like it's normal? Whatever... from the first time when I saw that "defeating" an enemy is the cartoonish style where there's no blood and the monster just falls on the back and that means they've been killed, I realised this anime is cooked.
The fights are somewhat explained, but uninteresting, you just know the MC will be able to overcome the enemy, and the action is presented in a few frames as well, so the it is overall bad. Sometimes they'll just show the enemies and then skip to something else, then come back showing the "aftermath" (where the aftermath is just the people being tired)...
Story: 4 -- There's not really a main plot presented or anything, just trying to get by in that world and dealing with the problems at hand... which are mostly persented in a childish way...
Art: 6 -- The art is okayish, but they forget some things between cuts which makes it look goofy to me. Also most of the fights are a few frames/repeated frames and done.
Music: 8 -- This anime did not deserve such a good OP. And the ED was pretty good as well.
Characters: 5 -- I do not like any of the characters and the relations they've made. Feels like I am seeing relations described by a small child sometimes....
Enjoyment: 5 -- I thought it would get better later on... it didn't....
Overall: 5

I cannot really recommend this anime in good faith to anyone. It is a childish one that has nothing going for it besides being dumb and sometimes annoying. Do not expect some kind of interesting plot or anything that seems to have depth or some kind of smart MC/characters. As I've said in the beginning, this is a 12-year old's written wet dream of an isekai, and all the actions and characters scream that, at least to me. I would say watch it only if you really want to experience something like that and have nothing else to watch... It is a waste of time basically.

A whole class isekai type where everyone gets transported by a goddess in a world to fight the demon king or whom. Everyone has a rank and are considered heros there, with typical isekai game mechanics.
SHORT SUMMARY REVIEW:
Story: 4 -- Bottom tier thrash isekai story that is not presented well (fast paced like crazy, feels like you're teleported to scenes, even when they should have been consecutive ones from the same action) and seems to be cut so much out of it that it just doesn't make any sense. And then it tries to take itself seriously... maybe that was the joke all along?
Art: 3
...
-- Mixing 2D with 3D art so much and switching between it, even basic scenes, and then even when you think that they at least save money for some cool fight later, they don't, is a dissapointing experience that just keep letting you down lower and lower.
Music: 8 -- Some of the songs were pretty cool, I'll give them that
Characters: 5 -- They had some ideas with the characters, but they barely work being created in such a presentation of a story. Villains are copy pasted extreme weirdos/creeps without any depth. Classmates seem so weird when you think they grew and existed as humans in a society in our world for how they behave and act... MC is all about vengeance. FMC is the pure maiden type that gets saved by him. The other characters are not even worth talking about, as they just seem purely made to advance the story in a certain direction... Too many characters defined by one thing only.
Enjoyment: 4 -- As you could guess, I did not enjoy my time watching this, but it was an experience in things I did not like at all.

I cannot recommend this anime for anything besides wanting to watch something dissapointing. There's really no good reason I can recommend it. Maybe the songs are okay ig? Or watch it for the few ideas that they had and tried to do? I'm just really curious right now about the light novels, and how much they butchered them in this adaptation... From what I read online, they adapted 4 LNs in these 12 episodes... and we all know what that means... Rushed like crazy, barely explain anything, skip a lot of stuff, adapt the action scenes only, if even that, and just rush asap towards the conclusion of each arc so the flow of the story is still somewhat kept.
LONGER VERSION REVIEW (I know I rambled a lot... think it's because I am very tired... hopefully what I wrote is making some sense):
Typical starting plot, but now comes the part where I tell you I cannot in good faith recommend this to anyone. This is not even good thrash. This is an outright dissapointing of an anime that just feels like a waste of time/resources. Am I going insane or are there too many trolls that wrote reviews that recommended this anime? I even started feeling bad that someone actually worked on this anime.
First of all, the main point which made me not be able to get into the story is the pace of the anime. It feels like there is someone saying "Chop chop! Done the scene? Perfect, next one". They're saying that to me when trying to understand a scene or moment, and they seem to have told the astists as well for how God awful the animation is, but more on that a bit later. The plot moves fast, very fast, with what feels like no connection to consecutive scenes, even if they are scenes that are part of the same moment/action. It feels too much like there were people doing different scenes of an action without caring about how they will connect them all. The whole anime feels like that. You feel like you just get teleported to different scenes. Or that they just straight up forgot to adapt scenes of a moment and they just kept on going, like ye, this fight that we showed you took like 5s on your screen, but the characters already talk like they fought for hours.
You never get worldbuilding, so you barely understand the setting or context. The story arcs are bottom tier ones like 95% of them all with plots that feel like they were written by a bottom tier AI. It seems like people enjoyed it because it is not your typical go lucky isekai anime, but idc about the ideas if they are executed so poorly that you just cannot appreciate anything besides that. What am I doing here? Seeing a proof of concept for a future anime? Because that is how it feels.
I don't have a problem with basic plots and ideas that I've already seen a million times, but I have when you cannot make them a bit enjoyable, and this anime just did that to all of what it tried to do.
The characters are barely presented, you barely can get attached to them, even the MC and FMC. I barely heard anything about their past in these 12 episodes besides like a few things about the MC that they made sure to repeat them, because why not, and about FMC? Ye, you learn about their situation and that's it, but it is nothing that makes you get attached to them on like a more deeper level. They feel like they don't have any depth. The classmates? You will see this in the first 10 minutes of the anime, but man, they just cranked their sociopathy/psychopathy to the max on each of them instantly. Is this a special class and I was not told? And don't get me started on the copy pasted villains where they want to do the thing with the FMC... and that's about what you get about most of them. Some do have other, let's call them, "aspirations", but they're so bottom tier ones and presented like so that it just feels like you're watching a children's story.
Also the fights are terrible. Spamming the same ability against monsters that seem to have none is just meh after the first like 2 times... There is no depth to anything when it comes to fights or abilities.
Everything moves so fast that even when you try to shut your brain off, you still start asking questions because it just doesn't make any kind of sense how everything jumps from one thing to another. I try to explain some stuff that happens in this anime, as I've read lns and watched the animes and know a few things they do to cut screen time and save budget, or concentrate on because deeper stuff just takes too much time (even tho this whole anime feels like they tried to save budget, but surely not for something for this anime, just for the sake of saving it for another project or something), but a lot of decisions and flow of story are just ??? to me. Maybe they are explained in the lns, but in this anime, I just cannot see how a lot of moments end up where they do without literally assuming like more than half of the story at this point. I'm not here to try to deschiper 50%+ of your plot and make it up myself to try to explain stuff, I'm here to be presented a story, I'm okay if you make some things subtle, give hints or just skip alltogether as long as it doesn't influence the story presented later a lot, but they don't do anything, at least not what I can pick up...
The animation is one of the lowest kind you can find out there. They mix 2D scenes with 3D scenes. A lot. Feels like the only parts where there is 2D is when they do some close up shot or the movements are very limited or stationary. If it gets a bit too much movement, they just do 3D. The 3D looks very awful and really takes away from the experience, if there is something to take to begin with... And even if they spam 3D like crazy, you would think that at least they would save some money for like a good fight scene in the anime? Or at least make some fights more interesting. Nah, don't expect that. They're not saving money for it to be used somewhere in the anime. Even if they use 3D in fights, some of them still look like a power point presentation...
Another main point that made me dislike this anime, is the fact that besides all its negative points, which are a LOT, that repeat themselfes, it tries to take itself seriously... like... man.... you just cannot do it like this... that's how you create a dissapointment of an anime.
Expect a lot of plot holes and things that are said in a way that it seems like they already talked about it or something, but they never did because they didn't adapt it...
I perhaphs forgot some things, maybe it's just my brain trying actively forgetting stuff that are worthless and dissapointing, but at this point I spent a bit too much time writing this review so I will just stop now, especially because I think if I continue this, I wil justl end up in the realm of spoilers.

This season is a bit of a letdown compared to the first one. CGI is being used a lot, a lot of moments that kinda felt like filler, even tho I enjoyed them overall, I still wanted to see a bit more of progression or atleast more worldbuilding or something.
The plot continues to be generic, but with a few twists from time to time. Still easy to see what's gonna happen inside the action, which sometime was frustrating because I was right and I didn't want to be... well, sometimes I was wrong, but those things I was wrong about would have really been a
...
big turn off for me. Most of the action is at the end of the season... and there seems to be a lack of budget. A really big lack of budget. A lot of moments suffered from that...
The conflicts are starting to shape up more and get more complex, alas not enough time to show them at least, I still have quite a few questions, more than when I started and had from season 1...
The MC goes strong with his default mode most of the time. Certain decisions are not explained very well, or I didn't really understand from their talks (the translation was kinda bugging me on this one, because even with my limited knowledge of Japanese I knew they were translating wrong certain parts and those changes can make a big impact). Quite a few good perfect moments. There aren't that many new characters, but the plays between them start to get interesting.
Story: 7 -- A bit too much nothing at the beginning, or it felt a bit like that to me. Still enjoyable overall, if you don't think too much of it.
Art: 7 -- There's only one nicely animated fight in this whole anime... the rest are pretty bad.
Music: 7 -- Nothing stuck out to me... gotta love the very energetic song that comes right when the episode finishes like something big is gonna happen, but nothing happens...
Characters: 8 -- Same characters mostly, but they progress and evolve a bit
Enjoyment: 7 -- Overall, I enjoyed it, but not as much as season 1...

I would only recommend it if you're curious about the direction of the story and where did out MC end and what is he up to. It is still a feels good, going nice and everything is gonna end good type of story, with generic plot lines and perfect moments, so if you want to see something like that, then this one is gonna be a goodish one. Just be aware that the quality compared to season 1 is a quite a bit worse... Hopefully season 3 will make up for it. It did make me feel like I should go read the light novels because it feels like the anime is taking off a bit too much from the source material (I cannot say for sure, as I am an anime only watcher right now), but I will wait for the light novel to finish first.

I'll just get straight to the point, this is what someone can consider a thrash isekai plot, BUT, it has its moments, not enough tho to warrant it to be special... as it still likes to go strong on the generic isekai thrash plot moments.
So is it at least a good thrash isekai? Yes, I would say so. It has a bit of a different approach to the isekai genre, so without spoiling anything, I can say you're gonna be intrigued about the decisions the characters do/take, especially the MC. But unfortunately, you won't be that surprised, as even if at certain points in the
...
story you might see interesting things that can develop very nicely, you'll instantly be reminded that it just likes to go onto the generic plot.
The plot seems to have some depth to it, but alas, it is an anime, and I am not sure if the anime just liked to adapt the light novel like this or not (which I think it did, as the light novel is going strong at 26 lns as of writing this review and from what I read online, it won't be stopping soon, as the story just started from ln 20, or so people say...), but man, generic characters that act in generic ways that get into generic situations that get fixed in a generic ways by a generic acting MC. Hard to prop up that tbh. You can instantly see how something will go on and be solved by a mile ahead... at least you won't really guess all the arcs tho and what will come after, that I can say it surprised me at least.
The MC looked like he had depth... until he didn't and became a generic sounding isekai MC. Sad, I really had my hopes up. Some scenes do put some personality in him, but then he's getting right back into default NPC mode. At least he's doing what is right, right? Yes... The other characters are pretty okayish, there are quite a few of them. The villains are too one sided, not depth at all, which is just boring to me at this point... There are quite a few girls that fall for him. Fair enough though. Cool looking very strong dude that is kind and knows how to act, ofc girls would be all over him ig. At least he isn't building himself a harem of girls that follow him everywhere, at least that (which is one aspect that surprised me).
Story: 7 -- The story feels like it has potential, as from my experience with light novels, I feel like this anime skipped a ton of very interesting informations that would have given this anime a way better look. I might be wrong though. Quite a few moments where I didn't really know where the story would go next after the current action will finish, but when I saw what will happen next, I kinda knew what will happen (not 100% always).
Art: 8 -- The art is nice to look at, and no CGI from what I remember, or too little to care about.
Music: 8 -- The songs were nice
Characters: 8 -- There are quite a few characters. MC is mostly generic, even tho at the start I really had my hopes up. The villains are too... basic for my taste. The girls are pretty nice overall.
Enjoyment: 8 -- Overall, I enjoyed it. Even tho it is thrash isekai, it is a nice one.

I recommend this anime to people that want to see a good feel anime (there are a few moments, but brief moments, where the weak of heart might not like, but overall is feels good), that want to see something that has more of a unique arrangement of conflicts and you won't know where it will go next, nice animation and doesn't mind that it feels like wasted potential sometimes.

An isekai where the one transported is our favourite famous author for his unaliveness tries Dazai Osamu! If you don't know who that is, you should read his wikipedia page, it is quite a read.
This one was quite a ride, to basic lows, to pretty okayish highs. Has a more unique take on the isekai genre, so it isn't the typical isekai slop. At least not 100%, more like 50% I guess... Why do I say this? Well, without spoiling, the idea behind this anime is pretty good: take a famous author that tried to unalive himself quite a few times and try to do
...
a story in which you teach people the beauty of life and that it is worth to live it, through all kinds of small stories. Or at least, that's how it seemed to me for a bit, but then it wasn't all like that. What it is is a comedy coupled with serious moments. Unfortunately, it seems to me like they have rushed quite a bit... some stories were made an 1 episode, start it and wrap it up by the end of the episode, were a bit too fast to actually get involved in them, and then you have the way they present things... which was not always the best, as in too basic and typical to the point of already guessing majority of what will happen. There are a few arcs that are longer, of course, but they're not all... that great... But, from my perspective, at first it starts great, gets a bit dull and then goes pretty good stuff towards the end, so it does leave you wanting to watch more of their adventures. Sometimes it does leave you with quite a few questions that were never answered though, but they're not that important to the overall plot I guess.
If you aren't the type to get triggered by unalive jokes, then you can easily watch it and enjoy. The cast is pretty nice, I like their chemistry. They made it so that every time the MC comes on and says something, it's saying some sort of a life advice... which kinda becomes a bit cringy at times... Also expect quite a few perfect moments and such, but I would say 70% of the anime is comedy, the rest is the serious part. So yea, the main group is something unique to me and how everything goes, so that's a big plus to me, especially in the isekai genre. Nobody is OP, quite a few different characters and personalities that mash up pretty nicely for the stories, but the world does not seem so big... it feels to me a bit... small. Not much worldbuilding to see or get explained.
Story: 8 -- The story has ups and downs, but overall is acceptable. At the end it is pretty good, at least compared to the rest of the anime. Quite a few stories you can instantly know where it will go though...
Art: 8 -- The art is pretty nice as well. Don't have any complains here.
Music: 8 -- The OP is pretty good here, and the ED too.
Characters: 8 -- Personally I am okay with the MC and his niche personality, and the group that is around him and how they interact. Very lively bunch.
Enjoyment: 8 -- I enjoyed it, even though it had some dull moments for me.
Overall: 8

I recommend it to people that are okay with the unalive part of the story and don't get triggered by it, want to see a comedy that is trying to mix itself with serious moments and some life advice, a more unique type of isekai that is not the OP MC that gets all the girls and everyone is all over him and that want to see some feel good moments/stories. It is a happy plot overall!

A reverse time anime about a 16 year old girl that gets betrayed by her husband and is getting another chance at life at age 10.
Everything good until now... then it hits you. Right from the start. Her husband from her past life was the crown prince of a country, so at age 10, when the crown prince chooses her, she decides to go with another one... and that another one is 19... and he accepts her... he is overjoyed by her age...
While there is a plot reason why he is overjoyed by her age and such, it is still quite the :| moment for
...
me (could have been easily changed...). But okay, let's say we get over this, what do we have then? A comedy mostly that switches between somewhat serious moments with jokes and... quite a few close, heartfelt moments between the FMC and MC... Oh man, it just likes to emphasize the fact that it is a 19 y old with a 10 y old, huh... Let's see who is the author... a female... I see... well, I did hear quite a lot of 18+ stuff is drawn by females...
Plot is basic to the point it is cringe at times for certain moments, but the main point of this anime is comedy, so ig it doesn't really matter that much, but there isn't that much comedy to make up for the plot imho. Nothing is explained when it comes magic and stuff. Worldbuilding? Ye, don't expect much. And man, sometimes it feels like you're watching on 2x for how fast the story suddenly starts developing, like they remembered they only got so much time and need to finish everything ASAP! Fighting scenes are quite meh as well. Quite a few "perfect" moments that aren't funny or anything, they just seem to be the copy paste of moments I've already seen in thrash animes... It's just the typical feel good story where everyone will be happy and the bed guy gets it.
There are some characters that are quite funny, but they don't appear as much as I would have wanted. MC is the strong female lead type. I like her spirit. MC is okayish? Tbh he's pretty boring to me...
Story: 7 -- There is a plotline... but it's kinda thrash anime plot style...
Art: 7 -- Art was okay. Didn't use horrendous CGI at least, but the fights were kinda 1 frame per second type most of the time, or short af.
Music: 7 -- Okay music.
Characters: 8 -- A few funny ones, but that age gap is still bugging me quite hard...
Enjoyment: 7 -- Was somewhat enjoyable, but didn't leave me with a strong impression or anything... besides that age gap.

Tbh I cannot really recommend it much to anyone... there are better thrash animes out there. This one is for those that want a comedy that doesn't take itself serious, with a bit of shoujo put in it between the FMC and MC, can get over the ages of the MC and FMC, doesn't mind the generic thrash anime moments and just wants to chill at something and pass the time.

A more realisitc MC that will do almost anything to become the strongest Seeker (adventurer) in their world.
This story was a pretty fresh watch, as the MC is more of a Villain than anything else, and would stop at almost nothing to achieve his goal. The arcs and decisions are not something you see very often, especially when it comes from a MC. He is ruthless when it comes to what decisions are made. In rest, the plot is pretty generic I would say. Nothing deep happens, the MC just goes around trying to get higher in the Seeker hierarchy through different methods while any
...
conflict that comes his way, he uses them as a stepping stone, or makes them happen.
But here comes a bit of a problem to me, the story has the right elements and ideas, but they are executed in a too short of a timespan, so stuff is rushed, does not go deep enough and it seems to be more on the idea of showing the action scenes only and nothing from the background. You would suddenly find out something very interesting or that has a really big impact, but it wouldn't be explained how it ended up there, just the result. Like yea, it's nice to have that from time to time to be surprised I guess, but here it feels like with the MC it always happens. I haven't read the light novel, but it seems to me like it is the same situation as with the Overlord adaptation: only the main conflicts and nothing more, or at least I think so.
Also, the more it goes, the more it seems to fall down, at least to me... as it doesn't explain much and you don't have much time to understand the characters in the arcs and such, decisions become more and more irrational or stupid, and scenes that should be impactful are more of a "meh" to me...
Story: 8 -- Has interesting ideas that are paired very nice with the MC, but feel rushed, which makes the climaxes fall quite a lot for me.
Art: 8 -- It was okay. Liked the art during the insane speeches given by the MC, and some fights were okay looking.
Music: 8 -- Okay music.
Characters: 8 -- Really like the MC, but the other characters don't feel like you can get to know them much and then it goes next conflict... and then they kinda become forgotten as they need to make more room to the new ones... Also the side characters that have big impacts in an arc don't get much time so when the conflict's climax comes, it just doesn't make you feel much for it...
Enjoyment: 8 -- Like these types of MC, but the story was quite too rushed for me to like it. Should have done less arcs and more time given to flesh out the characters in arcs.

I would recommend this anime for people that want to watch a story with a ruthless MC that will do almost anything to reach his goals, refreshing takes on certain aspects that have already been seen in other stories, but that are okay with not getting a deep understanding or are okay with a more fast presentation of the story.

A generic fantasy/adventure story with quite a bit of comedy put in it, following someone that went into adveturing at the old age of 30.
Even though the story is generic, the comedy, which sometimes hits, sometimes it's a bit dry, does make it more enjoyable. The context is a bit absurd, so don't expect normalcy or try of it in the plot, but that's good for me as it knows what it is and how it started and how it should go. The story does touch onto a pretty sensitive subject, even for a young guy like me, that I feel like everyone thought about
...
at least once: is it too late to start something? While in this context we have a pretty happy story, if you can call it so, of a 30 years old MC that finally decided to follow his dream of being an adventurer and finding people that would help him in so, the answer is the story ig. While it did sometimes feel like it goes onto the generic route, it didn't go all the time, which again, suprises like that really make me like a story. Especially towards the end, for such an anime, I did not expect those fights/action scenes. They were very well made and hype! Because it is a comedy, the deep, sad moments didn't really feel too genuine to me, maybe because that's what they went for ig.
The characters are a bit... flat. There are some backgrounds and you understand their dreams and such, for some, others didn't really get that much exposition, even though I was curious about them and how they ended up there. Guess this is for the books or for the next season, if there is one. They do fall in a certain category that you can easily see, and because the anime focuses on comedy quite a lot, it's kinda hard to see much of anything that isn't something you could have guessed. Some interactions were a bit cringe inducing to me, but ig that's part of comedy.
Story: 8 -- There isn't really much of a story, or at least shown much of it, besides some basic stuff for an adventure fantasy plot.
Art: 9 -- Here, I can give it to them. I heard they had a low budget, but the more it went, the better the art/direction got, and they really used quite a few techniques to save money but still deliver what they wanted. They nailed the last few episodes!
Music: 8 -- Okay music. Nothing that made me listen to it later. It fit the anime tho.
Characters: 8 -- Quite a few generic characters, but ig they made them for comedy purposes. A bit too cringy for me tho... And the rest are mostly flat, one dimension, with only barely a few getting a bit more insight into them.
Enjoyment: 9 -- The more it went, the more my enjoyment went up while watching it, and the last like 3 episodes it was really peak stuff, which I did not expect, but was a welcomed surprise!

Highly recommend this story to those that want to watch something that is a happy story, an adventure that has absurd elements to it, with quite a lot of comedy in it, to chill to something and also to see something pretty hype towards the end.

A slow falling in love story of a magical girl and an evil lieutenant, just like the title says, and it's done in a really good way.
Unfortunetaly, the author, Fujiwara Cocoa, passed away in 2015, at a young age of 31, and such the source material barely had 3 volumes worth of story to go off on, having to add new things to it as even the last "volume" was a really short one lacking enough chapters. But this, for me at least, adds a whole new nuance over the anime, as it was made after 9 years, like a tribute to the author. Even
...
though the episodes were short and left you wanting way more, they were beautiful, both in art, music, vibe and presentation of the jokes/story. You can see and feel the love that was put in this anime, and the potential it had if the source material would have continued.
It is a short anime, so just go watch it like it is a movie of around 2 hours. It is a lovely story with a diverse cast of characters you wouldn't really expect in such a story, and the jokes they were making.... really caught me off guard quite a few times. They're adult jokes.
The only small problem, and this might/is more of a cultural difference, were the ages of the characters, that stuff put a bit of a bad taste in my mouth... but it is Japan, which just recently in 2023 raised the age of consent from 13 to 16, so yea, I can only see it as a difference in culture ig.
Story: 9 -- For what it was, it is a lovely story with really nice presentation. Nothing too deep, but it still is an unfinished story, so a lot of things are left open, albeit they aren't that important as this feel like a slice of life mostly.
Art: 10 -- The art is amazing! Really love this kind of art!
Music: 9 -- Fits really well with everything!
Characters: 10 -- Here the characters are diverse and some really caught me by suprise, maybe because I never really watched magical girls themed animes, but this anime is made for adults imho...
Enjoyment: 10 -- Had a grin troughout the whole watching of it

This review was a bit exaggerated in marks, but this is because I feel like this is an anime I will most likely rewatch, as it is a short and very sweet one that made me smile and laugh quite a bit. It is not perfect by any means, not a 10, but given its context and how and for what it was made, I feel like it deserves a 10.
Highly recommend this anime to anyone that wants to watch something light hearted, that will make you smile troughout all of 2 hours of watching the anime, laugh at jokes that are adult oriented, and all together want to see the last unfinished piece of an author's life and the love that was put in this tribute. Just go watch already, it's a short one! I bet you won't regret it!
