Alright this recommendation might seem a bit on the nose, nevertheless the comparisons are well worthwhile. As sports anime they have similar feels and pacing you can tell that Production I.G has put a good amount of care into both of these series. While the protagonists in both series have similar high-energy personalities they both have very different skill sets for their positions with one for volleyball (Haikyuu!!) and soccer. (Ao Ashi) The joy of watching a Production I.G sports anime is a caliber above other sports series, it's always a joy seeing the team grow.

Instantly many people will make the assumption that Re Zero is the most similar anime comparison but initially I get more Kono Yo no Hate de Koi wo Utau Shoujo YU-NO vibes. Both have a unique setting in a smaller town, Summertime Renderer being on a island of 700 people. There is a murder mystery type feel in both anime. Both have time shenanigans. Both have ecchi undertones with fan-service. Both are 2 core anime around 24-25 episodes. Overall if your looking for a time loop special power small town murder mystery show these two offer similar experiences but both take different paths later in the series.

Are you a fan of survival? What about horror? These manga are the perfect choices for you. Shokuryou Jinrui follows a cast of 3 guys who met inside this mysterious facility where some definitely illegal stuff is going on. As they progress, the group learns the true horrors of what the facility is and what it means to survive. Yakusoku no Neverland is about an orphanage. Inside the place they have no worries and no child is ever overlooked, especially since they are all adopted by the age of 12. There is only one rule they must obey: do not leave the orphanage. But as two of the top scoring people in the orphanage go past the gate, they find some disturbing scene. They now have to figure out how to escape this mess of a world. Overall I would recommend Yakusoko no Neverland more than Shokuryou Jinrui, as not only does Neverland have an anime, but it is better fleshed out and has more subs available. Updates for Jinrui has been stuck since mid 2018.

Your in a world where death is either all you have or impossible to have. Welcome to these awesome shows! As they dive into deep thoughts about what life really is, and what it means to be alive. With Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi the show really goes past it’s first premise and branches off into developing interesting characters. Casshern Sins brings up many of the same ideas and follow a cast of people who are trying to find out why. Their whys are definitely far different from both shows but both mc’s are trying to find out the mysteries that unfold around them later on. Both are made by madhouse too. Overall I recommend both shows very highly as I believe they are both underrated.

-If you think Tokyo Ghoul is the most similar anime to Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu? Think again! -Both get same “sorts” of powers, just one has a parasite and the other is turned into a killing machine. -both have main characters that act and think VERY similarly. -and much more, as for which one is better, I’d go for Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu, but Inuyashiki is very close.
