TLDR: Romantic slice of life manga that goes into a relationship and how it inspires and affects artisans. Good romance, cute moments, and a fun read.
The manga deals with the daily lives of two characters. One being a "gyaru" whos a college freshman and the other being an artisan who works on copperware. The series focuses on romance on how it is to be with someone who fully committed to their craft. It also shows how their romance impacts the artisan's daily work. It shows how he gets inspired and how he grows to get his grandfather's recognition.
Story 7: The story just follows
...
the traditional day to day life format of a lot of slice of life mangas. It does not have any elaborate plot as of yet, but it is early on and this can definitely change. The focus of the series is not the story, but if there is some in the future it will be nice.
Art 8: I'm a huge fan of either extremely elaborate complex drawings or cute minimalistic art. This is the latter. It is simple while being nice, although it is not amazing it is good for me. The characters are nice and the art shines pretty nicely at points, but it focuses mostly on the character design especially the main girl. (Might be biased on this because I am a fan of this author art)
Character 7: The writing on the main guy is similar to other characters the author has written before but overall the character is a gyaru trying to figure out the relationship. At the time she is trying to understand how to go forward with being engaged and all. The main guy is pretty boring so far, but the way the author is writing the story I am hopeful for good character development and growth on his part.
Enjoyment 8: It's wholesome so I am enjoying it.
Overall, it is a good series that is not super serious, but similar to a lot of slice of life romance mangas.

Going into the manga it was very promising. Even now it has room to grow. Although this is the case its characters are boring and annoying. Kuro being the worst. She is a complete degenerate that is manipulative to the point where she torturing the MC. She alone ruins the series but at the same time makes it more interesting. If she was not there this story would be even more cliche.
Story: 6
Boring story, nothing special at all. Basic cultural festival and other events. The revenge concept is interesting but has no backbone to it. It feels as though the author is trying to
...
make this a revenge story but I do not see any true purpose behind the revenge.
Art: 7
It's average. Not bad nor is it special. Backgrounds are incredibly dull, character art is nice but characters design is not memorable.
Character: 6
This was the deciding factor for the series. Characters are all cliche but the decisions they make have little to no purpose to them. It's all just to make it more interesting. Everything the female leads do seem to just add is for the sake of the story, but it's so rushed and the characters are not developing but their behavior is determined in the first chapter. From the get-go, Kuro is manipulative and so conceited. She has an appeal to her, she's a terrible person and I hope the author doesn't go with his title. The osananajimi character is usually the better choice but somehow this character makes me hate her (this also is why the character is as high as 6). This is annoying to watch her hinder the main character's life, but her writing makes the whole story slightly worthwhile. Lastly, the best friend is terrible, your average tool of a character, maybe he's jealous or something but he needs to chill. He's boring and a bully, nothing else to it.
Enjoyment: 6
I got through it. Some of the events were so annoying that is memorable. If it was longer then the enjoyment would've been lower unless we can get more to the story.
TLDR: All in all, it's pretty bad but not a terrible read, I've read worse. If you looking for a harem that tries to go against some of the norms it might be for you.

To begin, this show has a lot of attractions from the manga to the movie it became very popular very fast. It's an interesting concept that deals with ideals that a lot of movies deal with which are teenagers struggling with illness. Like other movies, it deals with the view of how a person should live. It goes beyond the personal aspect and deals with the relationships the sickly have to deal with. At the same time, the show becomes overly saturated trying to sell a concept that has become common.
First the art, I believe the art is fantastic and exactly what I would
...
expect from this studio. Scenes are crisp and the changes in focus make you forget it is animated and not a movie. The issue though with the art was the cgi at times did bother me, it could have had better transitions between non-cgi and cgi but wasn't an issue. It also gave art that was nice but changed due to the scenario that seemed to personify the beauty of the movie.
The music was good but not exceptional, it had a really good opening. It excelled in the timing of the music. Also, I appreciated the voice actors that voiced the characters, it fits well and especially the narrator was very strong in infighting emotion to the audience.
Lastly the story and the characters. The story was solid with a clear plot that was coherent and interesting. It was fun to watch and was a simple story and was not boring. The characters, on the other hand, were an issue. The main characters' progression in the story was the only thing the show had going for it. All other supporting characters were extremely predictable and did not add much to the story. There was an attempt to give them life through subtle hints but things like the gym were not strong enough to build them up.
TL:DR: Good animation and music, with a solid clear plot. Characters seemed boring at times. Overall, solid movie that's interesting and satisfying to watch

It may seem very simple on the surface, but the anime achieved being able to create a realistic world for Akane and Kotarou. The relationships have a realism to them which heightens the individual characters. It may seem like a basic CGI show, but it's very subtle in each action. Each action has deep meaning and portraited visually and with a beautiful soundtrack. Also, the relationship between the two was cute and the shyness of the main characters made it more realistic too. I recommend it to anyone who wants a laid back show where you just enjoy the ride instead of being at the
...
edge of your seat. The show has a peaceful tone and theme to it. It is a relaxed, laid back show. The characters are defined well, which almost makes them similar to real people, instead of the over the top anime personalities you see in other animes. No one character is over the top but instead, each character is simple, with complex personal thoughts and ideas. The show also excels in showing you the two side of a relationship without much dialogue. Through subtle actions such as looking upset because of a text message, to the uncomfortable feeling of not being able to say what a person wants to in a relationship. Each expression shows how a character feels in the show without them yelling at anger. Instead, it uses gestures and reactions to portray the character's reaction, for example when Kotarou got mad at the festival.
In general, it's a very nice heartwarming show without any major plot driving it.
