SPOILER FREE REVIEW
Ok so to start my review, i'll tell you all that I was not the least bit thrilled to read a manga about a guy crossdressing.
After getting a few chapters into it, my prejudice was completely blown away. Found this to be one of the cutest manga i have read and finished it in one go.
~~Story~~ (9/10)
The story, as i have mentioned previously, came of as too gay to me from just the synopsis. However, I stuck with it since I wanted to reach the screenshot of a panel from it i saw in a meme. Boy was that a good decision.
...
Tired of reading the typical shoujo manga that have stale drama stretching across hundreds of chapters, I needed a good read and Ookami Shounen delivered. The story was well paced in my opinion and was much more realistic than falling in love after a few hundred chapters and then taking another 50 or so to confess *cough* Nisekoi *cough*. However it should be noted that towards the end, the story feels a bit rushed so it loses a point for that.
~~Art~~ (9/10)
In simple terms, the art was great. It wasn't anything too detailed, but the art perfectly matched the story. Not too flowery, nor too detailed. Perfectly balanced (as all things should be).
~~Character~~ (8/10)
Ok so I had mixed feelings about the characters. Some characters i loved and wanted to love and protect them. They had a great story line and past. However, there wasn't a huge focus on the background characters, which was great since that'd necessarily stretch the manga. Other than that, some character tropes felt overused. Even so, I got attached to these wonderful fictional beings and have grown way too attached.
~~Overall~~ (10/10)
In conclusion, even if you feel your heterosexuality being questioned from reading the synopsis, give it a try. It's a great manga with a nice setting, good art and had my heart clenching and had me squealing like a little girl towards the end.

Story 10/10
Getting tired of reading all of the top rated and critically acclaimed manga, I decided to try something underrated My decision was certainly correct as I was captured by this manga's beauty since the first few pages. The main thing I loved about this manga was the gripping story. It had a very interesting take on supernatural abilities and did a marvelous job at describing the pain of losing a loved one and what lengths a parent is able to go through for their child. Familial bonds, emotional instability, and love were all perfectly portrayed in this short, yet beautiful story and left me
...
fully satisfied at the ending
Art 9/10
The art-style was unique to say the least. In the beginning, I found it to be messy and crude looking, however that is the beauty of it. With time the art-style captures you and gives you a sort of homely feeling. It's a nice break from all the detailed art-styles that alot of extremely talented artists draw in their mangas and really grows on you.
Character 9/10
The characters were all captured perfectly in my opinion. Writing about how the mind of a young boy dealing with his grief works is not an easy task, however the mangaka was able to flawlessly capture that rash and emotional thinking of middle school students. Moreover it shows you the role of a great teacher in ones life, and how a teacher can be a friend, parent and mentor for one. In conclusion, all of the characters are lovable, relate able and towards the end, leave you wishing that someone like them existed in your life.
Overall 10/10
In short, the story of Itsuya-san is beautiful and a must read for everyone. Like me, some might expect the story to be half baked and uninteresting due to there being only 9 chapters will for sure be proven wrong as with time you get easily attached to all the lovable characters in this story.

******The following review may feature a few spoilers******
Ok so I drifted to this manga because I saw a picture of a guy banging a chick not ashamed. But what I didn't expect was that they'd actually give me such an amazing story right off the bat.
The characters clicked, I was starting to grow attached, the story was progressing at an amazing rate and the art was absolutely gorgeous... That is before the huge fuck up
ok so Jesus man, kid literally shouts moves like kamehameha and such from different anime/manga while ripping apart his enemies. How stupid is that. From that point onwards, it was only
...
a downwards slope for the manga. The story deteriorates, way too many characters enter the story (and die off mostly) along with the new characters themselves being extremely unmemorable.
I mean the story had so much potential, but what does it give us. A serious story turned into something even I don't know. One minute it's about vengeance and hatred and killing... and the next thing you know you have a guy NTRing someone while the NTR victim makes what is possibly the world's first onahole. Hell I don't even know what's going on anymore.
However, I'll give props to the artist for keeping the art pretty good

Done with my re-watch of Golden Time and what can I tell you, it did not disappoint.
******The following review may contain heavy spoilers******
~Story 9/10
The story had a great concept in my opinion. Not your traditional highschool boy falls in love with high school girl and some forced drama thrown around. It showed me a real view of how love is from the beginning. Not gonna go too deep into the starting and just gonna address my few concerns with the story. In my opinion, I did not see how it was possible for Linda to hug the ghost Banri towards the end. Moreover, it didn't
...
make sense at all for the ghost Banri to pick up the ring. However all flaws aside, the story was an emotional rollercoaster and not gonna lie, made me cry and grin like an idiot towards the end.
~Characters 9/10
The show had a great cast. The protagonist Tada Banri showed me what mental illnesses are all about and how fucked up they can make a person. Moreover he gave a realistic view on those struggles on mental illness. The main love interest Kaga Kouko is definitely one of my favorite characters. She gives such a realistic view on what love is all about. It's not just blushing at the slightest touch, it's pain, happiness, stalking(had to include that lmao) and being there for your partner through thick and thin. Unlike shoujo manga love interests, her love seemed far more real. I didn't particularly dislike any of the supporting characters, however I really liked 2D kun and Nana-senpai. Best wingman and best neighbor titles go to them, no competition.
~Soundtrack 10/10
Loved it. Absolutely amazing, especially both the OPs. The EDs were also spectacular along with the BGM matching every scene perfectly
~Enjoyment 10/10
Ok so I'm not saying that the story is perfect if you look at it critically, however Golden Time is one of the realest romance anime I have seen. It portrays the struggles and happiness of love way too perfectly. Moreover, the romance is cute af and wants to make you squeal(not ashamed). Also the pain and suffering a mentally ill patient has to go through is described, and honestly it made me realize how serious amnesia is. Overall loved the anime and definitely worth bumping it's rating from 8 to 10.
