Big Order...more likely Big Disaster, or Mirai Geass: Oreimo Crusaders. Seriously, it's imposible to find something original inside this anime. From the start, it's imposible not to draw parallels between Big Order and the author's previous work [Mirai Nikki] , only that Big Order was executed more poorly.
It had a somewhat promising start that was quickly overshadowed by the amount of copied material from other anime.
Story: So, ten years ago, a kid Wished for the world's destruction, as a result, the world was almost destroyed in a paranormal event known as the "Big Destruction" , were half the human population died. The responsible
...
for that destruction was the main Character, Hoshimiya Eiji. From then on, it's a trainwreck, where the story draws too much from Code Geass progression, but without the awesomeness of it. The story turns out very weak, and full of inconsistences, the power of the "Orders" is incredibly ambigous and unreliable, not even the author knew how to make them work, so in some instances they were incredibly powerful, and in others they were as good as a water gun against a battleship. Every other element from the story is over cliched and exploited, at the end one is wondering why not just let the "Villian" win. 4/10 because the last 2 episodes were kind of decent.
Art:
The character design is the same as Mirai Nikki. For real, the Main character and some other characters look like alternate designs for Mirai Nikki's characters, and those not taken from Mirai Nikki have generic and uninspired designs. That aside, the backgrounds look good, animation was acceptable, but too much use of CG kills it. But still, it's not like Mirai Nikki's character design was bad. 7/10.
Sound:
Yousei Teikoku in the opening. 10/10, easily one of the best openings for the season.
Character:
Honestly, they were totally inconsistent with themselves, their attitude, behaivour, motives, feelings, nothing was consistent for the whole story, some characters appeared to be playing double or triple agent, but in reality they were just badly done. Some characters were totally unexplained, others were just bad filler in order to have a wide cast, but no character got enought screen time to be properly developed. perhaps the more consistent character was Iyo, as she was in love for the whole anime.
Then, we have the Orders, the supernatural powers of this anime. I'll be honest, The orders are STANDS. yes, (((STANDS))), they act like stands, move like them, and serve a similar battle purpouse, some have a Humanoid form, some are ambigous concepts or artifacts, the main problem is, we never get to know the actual extent of their abilities.
3/10
Enjoyment:
Show is so bad that I actually did enjoy it. If you scrap all coherent and consistent tought process, you can enjoy this anime. Battles were good, it had it's fun moments, the last episode was epic, and it had a very unexpected Fairytale good ending. 8/10
Overall:
I did enjoy it, but, it is a bad anime, critically speaking, it is bad. and totally not memorable. But at least we got a full story and won't have to wait for a never coming second season.
5/10.

This review covers until chapter 118. I'll submit another review perhaps when this manga is finished.
Story: 7/10
Terra Formars's Story isn't the strong point of the series, as it follows a simple sci-fi setting of "Send soldiers to another planet to kill monsters" , but, while the setting isn't that amazing, It's worth to say that it is nicely done, and it can attract both casual and more selective readers. As the series progress, some misteries start appearing, and currently there are a lot of elements without a proper answer. But, Still keeps the manga interesting enought.
Art: 10/10
One of the strongest points for Terra Formars,
...
is that the art is simply superb, weapons, vehicles, the landscape, explosions, the fights, the characters, even animals are well-drawn, not only it's artistically good, but it feels as if the combat was happening in front of your eyes.
Character: 9/10
Where it may not have the most well developed characters or with profound motifs, it delivers a pack of Charismatic people from everywhere in the globe. Not only Japanese characters, but Americans, Germans, Chinese, even Mexicans are part of the crew. And they're pretty tought too, but even if they have more power than the average human, this manga doesn't go easy, a lot of characters die, quickly, if you think someone is going to die, well, it's probably going to die on the next page.
Enjoyment: 10/10
This manga is incredibly enjoyable, from having quotes from the Bible, to provifing scientifical information about rare animals on earth, and even scientific explanations to answers, all of that mixed with overflowing action and superb art.
Overall: 10/10
it's not your everyday shounen manga, you'll see people dying gruesome deaths here, a lot of action, the enemies are fearsome, characters from the bottom of the society that went to mars to trying to fix their lives. And you'll end up digging enciclopedias for more information about the stuff going on here.

As an aditional coment, some people say that Terra Formars is Racist and Sexist. That's FALSE.
The Terra Formar Roach design is based on the Homo Erectus, if you google pictures of the Homo Erectus and compare them with the Terra Formar; they have the same face, hair and skin color. Also, there are no displays of racism by the author, as it included characters from a lot of nationalities, and they pretty much work together as equals...to overcome the fearsome roaches.
Others say Terra Formars is sexist, that's FALSE too, maybe a lot of women die in terra formars...but a lot more men died, actually, pretty much every human dies, the roaches kill anyone despite their sex or nationallity. Plus, there are women like Michelle, Eva, Yaeko, Kanako and Xi Chun-Li who can put up a fight with anyone.

Cross Ange is...a very singular mecha anime, the diversity of it's elements is something that makes it great. When I watched the first chapters, I tought this anime had potential to develop into a good story, and that's what it did. Do not let the high amounts of fanservice to keep you away from this show...It's a roller coaster of emotions and actual trama untill the last episode.
Story: 8
So, this starts in a future utopian world where wars are over and people live in peace, but this Utopia has it's flaws, as it condemns those who don't have the "Mana Light" power, and forces them
...
to fight Alien Beings known as "DRAGON". A curious subversion of the sunrise mecha trope where the MC and it's allies have special talents and powers, as the main characters are actually the only people in the world without the "Mana" powers, alsot the adversaries in this anime are incredibly overpowered (specially for the main antagonist). Another thing to add, is the gradual darkening of the story, revelations about the true nature of the enemies and the setting make it for the weak beginnng, later episodes have been awesome, and with a nice story rythm. Be warned: This anime stats as a Real Robot, but eventualy becomes a super robot.
Art: 7
Colorful and lively, the Character design feels very vibrant, as with Sunrise most recent mecha series, Ange and the girls are pretty, Backgrounds have nothing in special most of the time, panoramic views are good, the mecha design is actually pretty good. However, the animation quality falls off hard in some scenes.
Sound: 10
From Nana's Opening theme, to the OST and Theme Songs, this anime shines in good audio, surely Ange's being voiced by Nana Mizuki adds a point to this, surely BGM is superb at key scenes, the second opening and ending are good in the sound aspect, perhaps the sound is one of the best things in this anime.
Character: 8
While being a Mecha Anime, we finally see that Main Character is a Girl, while that hyped the train before this anime's relase, soon it came a little disapointing for too many people. the reason is simple: Ange doesn't start rocking hard, in fact, she starts as a very weak and arrogant person, but that's the key to this series! Ange's development is actually good and interesting, her path from being a little selfish girl to a badass soldier was superb, It didn't feel rushed or incoherent, but the development on Ange is arguably the best thing in the show. Other Characters also become relevant and developed later in the anime, but, the main plot revolves around few relevant characters. But, we don't see a mecha with a ton of bishoujo as badass pilots everyday. At least cross ange went out of the square and tried something a bit different.
Special to point out Hilda, that girl went from despicable to lovable in a few chapters.
Enjoyment: 9
As a fan of mecha series, I can say Cross Ange feels like fresh air for the recent times, as most mecha anime in the last times felt very generic. And, personally, I actually enjoy the ecchi stuff packed with Cross Ange, and I guess more people will enjoy that, perhaps not the old bone mecha fans, but the more casual viewer. That apart, the action, emotionals roller coasters and rythm of the show make the enjoyment rise.
And the main antagonist, Is ....simply superb, a Mix between an Utopian God, and a complete Sociopath.
Overall: 9
I waited for so long for a Female MC in a mecha, and I got just what I wished for. Cross Ange is Great. Overall, good music, nice characters, good action, yuri and ecchi service, dragons, and going from real robot to super robot.
