Out of all the Shounen movies I've seen, this is on the low end of the list. It's probably obvious what I hated the most about it, which was the climax. The last movie was stated to be a canon movie, but when it came to this film, I was unable to find a clear answer if this was the same case. It was always a vague answer, but I feel that doesn't excuse how it ended. Also, this movie came out during season 4, but it takes place that hasn't even happened yet. It even spoiled some things from
...
the manga. So, this movie spoils stuff for you.
Story: This will have spoilers. The plot is like the last movie, simple. Even the characters in the movie state it. I enjoyed the story when it "try" to give every UA student something to do. So, I'll give it points on those, but again, the ending ruins it. One of the reasons the movie was so Bakaugo focused was because he was voted most popular three years straight. Because of that, he got to weld OFA for a visually breathtaking fight but then retcon it. It just feels lazy. So, I'll go over Two Heroes than Heroes: Rising anytime.
Art: The art was great. As much as I hated the final fight, I will not say that it looks terrible. It looks great, very clean. Great flow. Very bright and colorful, especially since it takes place on an island. When it has the chance to show off bright colors, it'll take it.
Sound: My main complaint with the last movie was that it didn't have anything original for the movie. The climax, again, had some original music to it. Everything else is the official score from the MHA. Just wish it took that extra risk some more. VA is done very well.
Characters: Again, I'm happy they tried to get every UA student to shine. At least with one attack or action. Other than that, it's too Bakaugo focus. Also, I know I'll get hate for this, but he is one of my less favorite characters. I also hate how Izuku just gave up OFA, again, it just feels weak.
Enjoyment: If it ended better, it would have been higher up. But it didn't so, it's low on my list.
Overall: If you are a die-hard MHA, then watch it after season five to where the timelines make more sense. Other than that once or none is good enough.

For a first movie from the BNHA world, it was very entertaining.
Story: It honestly is straightforward. Maybe if the first portion of the movie focused on recaps or explaining events that people already know. They could help make more interesting details that it could have taken. That said, for people that aren't familiar with the lore, they won't be lost. So, it is certainly easy enough for anyone could follow. Also, this movie was confirmed to be canon by Horikoshi. So, the events here are good enough to happen in the world won't have significant consequences for the
...
story later.
Art: It has a movie budget for the animation; it is apparent and flows very nicely. The ending fight is top quality, the only time I see if falter is when characters are at a distance. I don't know if this is just a problem with BNHA overall or if it just is a movie problem, but it can seem a bit lazy with the character models.
Sound: As for the sounds, the movie doesn't have its own unique set; it just uses what it already has from the show. It's not bad sounds, as it can match the tone correctly, but it would be nice to use its own score.
Character: It being a hero movie, it does have some unique character designs in the background. That said, it's only three new characters added to the overall lore. Everyone else is exceptionally minor. It was also easy to guess the twist of one of the characters right at the gate and then the next. Again, with a simple story, the characters are just as simple.
Enjoyment: I did have a good time with this movie. I wasn't expecting a whole lot, but what I got is good enough to be fun. It's a good popcorn flick.

Shokugeki no Souma is a comedic cooking anime that does have a lot of enjoyment to it but some flaws that prevent it from being great. Now I have read the manga version of this I am aware as to what is to come into the future, but I still believe that somethings could of been tweaked to help make it great.
7/10 Story: The story has a easy premise to follow, a high school wanted to surpass his father in cooking. That is an easy concept to follow, but what helps push it further is it's comedic tones and some good
...
tense that gets me drawn into the moment. However, it is really just setup to be used at a later time. There are good moments, but no on the seat moments to push it on the knife's edge. Am sure that it'll be good in a later season, but nothing major happens here.
8/10 Art: The art is clearly the highlight of the show, and when it focus on the food, it is beautiful. Like it is something I actually want to eat, unless it is intentionally disgusting, but everything else I would love to give a try. When it isn't focus on the food, it still fun to look at. Everything does have a unique enough look to it and I do enjoy seeing when it over exaggerates for it jokes. Makes it a bit refreshing.
8/10 Sound: Truth be told it is kinda the same thing with the art, when it focuses on food I was able to hear the cooking bits, and when it wants to show that it is going to be a good dish, they'll add more to it that really doesn't overshadow it but heighten it. No real complaints to the art and sound areas.
5/10 Characters: Now, this is what I felt like was the shows weak's point. The characters, as said in my story bit, this was really just buildup for later. I felt like no one, outside of the main and a few side characters, had any growth. Sure, they say people skills improved since they first started, however, if it never was soon as to what it was before they you can't prove it. Also, no real character interaction outside of the main character and a few side characters. It is very clear that the show, or at the very least this season, they only wanted to display a select few. And near the end they just kept on adding more characters, it started to feel crowded. Hopefully the next season expands upon the characters that'll push the anime to better heights.
9/10 Enjoyment: Despite the major character flaw, I still had a lot of fun with this. Able to re-watch it with ease, so it is doing a few things right.

Majin Bone. A show that really tests the value of everyday life.
Story 7/10: The story isn't terrible, but it isn't really ground breaking. But what is shown is actually very well paced, it never really felt like they had to rush a certain detail and it does have a good since of discovery within the world that they have given us. There were also moment that it did draw me into the story of it, especially closer to the end. I just wish it kinda happened a little bit earlier.
Art 8/10: Now this is where I felt that the
...
show really shined, the animation. There are two different styles 2D and 3D, if anything this kinda reminded me of Aladdin in the Cave of Wonders part. And I was a fan of the 3D part, what I wish they did was put more of the two styles together more often. Aside from the first few episodes it doesn't happen that often. And when it did happen, the 3D stuff didn't do much, it need to more interactive in my opinoin.
Sound 6/10: It is well voiced acted, and the effects are good enough. Music okay, but no real battle music aside from the big ones. If they had something that match the fights it would of been that much better, but as it is, it is passable.
Characters 6/10: The characters are kinda all over the place. Some I really like, some I didn't (which is really only one), and some were tolerable. The antagonist had the most development here, you see them struggle with faith a lot more then the actual protagonist. I like that, but it was obvious that they never really were the bad guys simple because they give off a likable trait early on. The main character on the other hand, started off great. I was really able to tell his struggle and pains that he went through, and what he fights for is a good cause, but my main problem with him was that he had too much doubt in himself. First few times understandable, rest too much.
Enjoyment 7/10: I did enjoy the anime, and I probably would watch it again. The fights were fun, no doubt about that.
Overall 7/10: A good anime, I think people would enjoy it. Especially if you want a good study on antagonist being good in the end.

Sword Art Online: Offline special is a hour and a half long special and for the majority of it is was mainly a recap of what had happen in the first season. Because of that it isn't really showing anything new, so spoilers is going to be very unlikely (hopefully).
Story 7/10: As I have said before this is mainly a recap of what had happened in the first season of SAO. It really focuses on the main bits of what had happened, however they do add a short separate story that does happen in the MMO world. When they told the
...
recap, it was done well but they could of told a bit more, however it was still good. The separate story bit was meh at best, and at the end they were obviously building up to what is now going to be SAO season 2.
Art 8/10: When it comes to any virtual world animes, or live action shows for that matter, it has to be a visual appealing to it. However, they really don't show anything new till the end, but it still holds a unique design and it was still good to the old design. Appeal factor is still there.
Sound 9/10: The sound is still a really nice factor. When they play the epic music it still adds the extra tension to the scene taking places, and it really does add more to the art that SAO has. Also the VOs does a good job, no one really felt over the top (expect during epic fights) and they place the right amount of emotion towards there scenes.
Characters 6/10: They don't really add anyone new, and the one they did add was more or less simply used as an excuses to tell the story of season one. There is no "new" character development or presences from anyone here. That being said the score would of been lower, but during the recap part they show how everyone became who or what they are before and after the lock-down event in season one, and I really did enjoying seeing on how they became who there are. We don't see for everyone though, and there is one that is included but didn't show his growth, sad but there it is.
Enjoyment 8/10: I really do enjoy this anime, I loved with what they did with the first season (but I did have some problems with the second half of it), and it was great to see this world again. Also it didn't feel rushed at all, wished they add more characters to it, but it is still real good.
Overall 8/10: If you are a fan of the series then I recommend that you watch it, if you haven't seen SAO, then you mostly likely will be confused by it but at the same time get a good grasp as to what it is.

If you have seen the first season "High School DxD," no "New", then you pretty much know what you are in for. If you haven't then you are surprisingly not that lost either. It explains the situation well enough in the first episode or with few lines of dialogue later on. Not a full explanation, but a good enough one.
Story 5/10. Like the first season it follows a real basic story line. Also as in the first season, it follows well enough then halfway through the season it drops whatever the story is then switches to something completely new.
...
However, unlike the first season, this tries to take itself much more serious. It kind of turned me off at one point and it did make for a lot more off humor. It did make for bad jokes and I can't believe they went there moments, and there are a lot of those moments. That being said it doesn't focuses as much to the story as the first season but more on the characters. When it does focuses on the story is when it takes itself more serious. But the story is a simple one.
Art 8/10. I think because they added a lot more to the story they were able to bring new lore or items they were able to go more detail with its art. This anime has holy, demonic, and other fantasy theme items; they were able to give it special detail with it. It helps make everything feel different for whatever reason it was being used. Oh it also adds great detail to the boobs, boobs, boobs, boobs, woman rear ends, and more boobs. However, that is to be expected in an ecchi anime.
Sound 5/10. I almost didn't notice it but the music here isn't story driven but character driven. It mainly follows the main protagonist feelings or emotions. If Issei is trying to be funny, it adds a bit of a comedic beat to it. If he is upset or sad the music takes a dramatic tone to it. If he is feeling epic or action packed it takes a strong epic tone to it. And if someone else says "you’re an idiot" or breaks whatever he is feeling, the music just stops. Also it doesn't use anything new; when you get to episode 3 you heard all that they have.
Characters 8/10. Now this is what the show really tries to do. Unlike the first season where it focuses on the main character and 2 supporting characters, this time it mainly focuses on the entire cast. And I personally liked it. We do find out more about everyone's past and they progress themselves in a meaningful way. You can see their reasoning behind their actions, you can see why what they are feeling, and I really liked it.
Enjoyment 7/10. It isn't the worst squeal there is, and I didn't like how they tried so hard to make the story a serious one, but I did like the art detail and characters of this show.
Overall 7/10. If you have seen the first season, you might enjoy this squeal. If you haven't, you are still able to watch without being that lost as to what is happening and points for that at least.

Comedy and drama don't really good hand in hand in most entertainment media stuff. Either one element is done too much or it is a complete disaster. This anime honestly a bit harder to describe, it isn’t a disaster but the anime didn’t know how to present their material. It pulls it off well enough to where it has the right amount of comedy and drama but it just wasn’t shown well enough.
Story 6/10: They did give off a good plot at the start of the anime and I was drawn into it at first. However, as the show went on
...
it moved away from the main plot and towards something else. I didn't mind it as much but it just gave me mixed flags as to what it wanted to show. This happened to me when they showed the first plot twist I just couldn't understand their message behind it. It was a good plot but it was just executed wrong.
Art 8/10: It isn't that over the top but does make references towards other anime elements and I actually did enjoy that. They don't overdo it but just enough to get a good chuckle out of it. It was nice and well done.
Sound 8/10: For the most part I didn't really find the sound to be there; for the most part it was focusing on the dialogue. The VOs do put a good effort into their work, original Japanese cast anyways it has been announced that there will be an English cast. Background music I found to be non-existing.
Character 7/10: Every character does put something unique to the show. The only one I had a really problem with is one of the main characters, Yozora Mikazuki. I just couldn't understand her reasoning and motives were even after the big reveal at the end of the first season. I won't say what it is for spoiler reasons but my reaction towards it was "Okay, why couldn't you just do this instead what you been doing for the past first season?" The other characters are good and they do offer something good to the show but again story reference they don't know how to present it well enough.
Enjoyment 5/10: It did get me a couple of good laughs but for the most part I was like "I can't believe they went there." Also nothing really stood out to well for me throughout the first season for me.
Overall 6/10: I can see why people would enjoy this anime, it just seems like a meh anime to me. If they knew how to present its material better I would of enjoyed it a lot more and if they pulled the plot twist a bit better to keep me in better, or actual, suspense.

Wow, just wow. If you are not a fan of female nudity or so much sex references, then watch something else. However, if you don't watching a show that might have been made for perverts, then you may enjoy this anime.
Story 6/10: To be fair this show does has a solid bases of a story. It has its moments when it takes itself serious and it does have good action pack moments. However, the anime knows that it isn't meant to be taken too serious and most of the time I just couldn't believe what was happen in it. However,
...
it is a real simple story as it is, just with a lot of female nudity.
Art 8/10: The art style of the show is actually decent. It is set in a high school so everyone has to wear a similar uniform but they all do stand out. Also it is a bit bright at times even when it is supposed to be about demons and other underworld themes, but that just meant be part of the whole "not taking itself to serious" thing.
Sound 7/10: The sound is also another element that is done well. The background theme does tell what the main character, Issei, is feeling at most times. Also the characters' VO does a great job here; you're able to tell what the characters are portraying at the time they are speaking. The music and other sound doesn't really stand out that much but that might be because they reuse it for both the serious moments and the comedy bits in this show.
Character 7/10: There are a lot of characters here but the main one is Issei Hyoudou. This maybe a spoiler but it is revealed in like the first five minutes of the first episode so am just going to say it. Issei is one of the biggest perverts I have ever seen in any anime. If there was a top 10 list somewhere, I believe he would be at least be ranked 2 or 3. However, he does show growth throughout the show in a very good sense and he does have some good qualities to him. The other characters on the other hand they really stay the same. By the third episode you would get a pretty good idea about the other characters in the show and they don't even have as much growth as Issei, if any for that matter. Even the new characters that come in late in the first season you are able to paint a pretty good picture of them even with just a few lines of dialogue.
Enjoyment 7/10: As I said this show doesn't take itself too serious throughout the show but that is part of its charm. It just offers a good mild entertainment value with a simple story premise to follow. There were even a few moments where I was laughing as to how stupid it was being, again that was part of its charm.
Overall 7/10: If you are able to get past all of the female nudity and the sex reference you may enjoy watching this anime. It isn't the greatest anime but it most certainly isn't the worst thing put out.

Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, the Mass Effect franchise alone has a lot of creditably, good and bad, but for the most part a lot of people know of it. This would be the second movie that BioWare has released for their games and unlike Dragon Age this movie fairs a lot better.
Story 9/10: Here the story is a very believable scenario, it is a bunch of space marines fighting in a space colony against an unknown alien forces. Genre wise this would action and drama with a lot of action but very deep dramatic moments. What is interesting is that is
...
mainly how the game is, and because it follows that essence so well you would really feel that you are in the world of Mass Effect. As for new comers they should be engage to this as well, it is very well paced and you most certainly feel the moments as they are meant to be felt.
Art 7/10: Another big difference between the Mass Effect and Dragon Age movie is the art style, here they decided to go the more traditional route on how to make their anime. It may not be as very lively, but it all does interact with each other well and everyone has a unique look in the world. Also the weapon and vehicle design do make the Mass Effect theme perfectly, they might not be used correctly, but they do match in design and sound.
Sound 8/10: If you read my Dragon Age review, you would see that I didn't think too highly to the sound because there wasn't much too it. Here they certainly made improvements. Here it has a lot more music has been add to give the scenes extra tension and VOs add extra emotion to their voices. This really does give the sense that the movie has a more realistic tone to it. It is very well done in here, it could have gone an extra step, but it is still solid.
Characters 9/10: One of the important aspects to Mass Effect franchise are the characters, if they aren’t relatable then they aren't likable. In here you are able to relate to them on some level very quickly. Spoiler alert this is space marines characters which means people are going to die. I actually felt a little something when some of the people die. Also some of the characters has an unpredictable element to them which does add more to the story. However, other than the main character, James Vega, the characters that are from the game that do make an appearance their original VOs aren't in it, sad but it isn't about them. But, Freddie Prinze Jr. (James Vega) does a fantastic job in this and I hope that we see (or hear) him again soon. Am kind of a fan of his when he was doing his acting job on the big screen. This is also possible one of the few animas that is only voiced in English, but that isn't a reason that you shouldn't watch just be aware.
Enjoyment 6/10: This has a lower score for one reason I didn't enjoy the ending as much as I wanted to. And before anyone says "BioWare can't make good endings for movies now!?!" I played Mass Effect 3 before watching this movie. It was released before the movie was which in turn was a terrible idea. If you played Mass Effect 3 and when you get the option to talk to James he tells you the ending to this movie. And it is the first conversation at the home base. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I didn't know what was going to happen, in my opinion they should have released the movie before the game and I would have got a lot more enjoyment out of it.
Overall 9/10: I really do enjoy this feel; the only real problem was that this came out after the video game, Mass Effect 3. If they just released this beforehand enjoyment would have been an 8 maybe a 9. However, that is no reason not to watch this it is better than BioWare's first film, Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker, a must own for Mass Effect fans and regular anime fans will enjoy this.

BioWare's first movie Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker (English title), or Dragon Age: Blood Mage no Seisen (Japanese title), and the movie was alright. They could have done a few things differently in my opinion but it was still good and it does expand upon the Dragon Age lore.
Story 6/10: Don't get me wrong the story is good. It is well developed and it does stay true to the lore. However, the only problem I had with this is that they already used this story. The games and books both have dealings with magic and the Chantry. Non-magic
...
users is afraid of the unknown (mainly magic), magic users want their independence, and somewhere down the line both sides take it too far. That is the plot they always use when it comes to those to subjects. If they have to use them, then just do something else with it. However, I am happy that they are focused on a character and her perspective on the subject (briefly touched), but I felt like they could have gone in other directions with it.
Art 8/10: The art style for this is amazing. In here it feels a lot more alive in a way. There is a lot going on in the scenes and their attention to detail is focus on where it needs to be. It is certainly a new interesting style that I wouldn't mind seeing in the near future. But more than likely this will be used for movies as supposed to regular shows. However, the animation seems out of sync at times. If you really pay attention you would see some of the dialogue out of sync at times, but it doesn’t happen too often to make the animation lousy. The funny thing is that this was made for an English cast and the Japanese cast would need to dub this, there it is definitely noticeable for dialogue being out of sync.
Sound 6/10: The sound is pretty solid, the cast of both versions do a very good job. The sound effect matches the environment very well. However, there isn't really any background music. The movie knows it and doesn't really rely on it, but when it does try the characters speak so loud that you can't hear it. So, it might have been better if either they had more music in the backgrounds or if the characters toned it down. However, if you watch the Japanese version they do add a bit more to the background music that does add to the enjoyment.
Character 6/10: Again am not saying that the characters are bad, we just only follow two and possibly a political situation. The two are Cassandra Pentaghast and Regalyan d'Marcall (or Galyan), but even then it's mainly about Cassandra. The only reason that this didn't score higher was because I wanted more development on the other characters, like the villains. I wanted to see what the reason behind their actions were or at least a better one, one of the characters seemed too simple for a complex world like Dragon Age, but that might be going back to the story part. It is solid enough, but I just wanted more. Also the things that Cassandra did are simply unbelievable, I mean really unbelievable. Spoiler alert, an example is her killing stone golems and ogres, at least a dozen of them, and by using a common sword and slashing on their legs. I know that they wanted to make her a badass, but she isn't that badass.
Enjoyment 7/10: Despite its flaws, it is still an entertaining film. Not made for a consent watch, but once and a while, I'll watch it again.
Overall 6/10: BioWare first attempt they did an alright job. If they just added a little bit more content (both in the movie and special features) it would have scored a bit higher, maybe an 8. However, any fan of Dragon Age should give this a look if they want more from the Dragon Age universe. It is worth a rent at the least.
