Been awhile since i did any reviews but for this manga i just had to do one. Actually i'm not good with reviews but here's my opinion.
First off let me say i loved this manga. I couldn't put it down. What's so great about it you might ask. Maybe the story perhaps? Maybe the Art? or maybe something something else?
Well let's start with the art. I can't tell you much about it to be honest. I mean in deciding to read any manga the art is an important factor. If you don't like the art, it becomes a pain to read sometimes even if the
...
story is enjoyable. Fortunately i love art in this manga. There are a lot of beautifully drawn scenes and beautifully drawn characters. There was one depiction of Yuzuki Eba that just had me stop and say "wow she really is beautiful". But was that what made the manga so good?It helped but it wasn't what sold me
So how about the story?Well in my limited experience with romance stories, well maybe not so limited but this is the longest romance manga I've read so far. Most of my experience is with shorter romance manga's so that may have contributed to those times when sometimes the story would feel like it's starting to drag, then something happens and immediately i'm hooked again. Without giving too much away, this manga does show you the characters relationship over a number of years and I i really enjoyed that. Showing you both the up's and down's of the characters' relationships.
Then of course we come to the characters who as you've probably already realised are my favourite part of the manga. I simply fell in love with the characters, to the point of not being able to sleep properly for 2 days and hence resulting in me binge reading the rest of the manga. The author really does a good job of portraying the characters emotions and experiences til i felt my chest started to tighten and me shedding a tear or 2 at certain points . There are quite a few characters and most are quite unique from each other. Overall though the characters development over the course of the manga is well written.
In all i really do love this manga and I'm pretty glad i found it when it was already finish so i could binge read and i would gladly recommend it. As a side note i just want to add that my favourite characters in this manga are Yuzuki Eba(big surprise i know) and Aoshina.

So here we have season 2 of IS and to be completely honest, what a waste of a season it was. 12 episode and guess what, 90% of it is fan service and the other 10% is split between action scenes an actual honest to goodness storyline and plot development. Art remains pretty good good and sound is likewise. As for character develop on the other hand, forget about it. I mean they did try something but even then it only serves to make you realise how weak the main protag is. By far the most frustrating thing about season 2 is the wasted potential.
...
With the new characters introduced and the events that were set in motion, i personally thought at the start of the season that we were in for something great, after episode after episode after episode of disappointment however i'm beginning to wish i had watched something different. IMO if you don't watch it, you're not missing much, if you do still watch it, don't expect much out of it

A short ecchi - romance manga, nothing new probably nothing original (can't tell haven't read that much manga), even the character types you can probably find elsewhere but in spite all that its still damn enjoyable to read. For one, i actually like the fact that it was short, because it was well executed. When i started reading this manga i would read the odd chapter everytime i got the chance, as the story progress however i got hooked and eventually ending up devouring the second half of the series and am now writing a review for it 4am in the morning . But i
...
digress, in short, the art is good the story is good characters are really likeable, especially Natsuki ( personally taste) and im actaully glad i found and read this manga. Overall the manga is funny, light , a tad serious when it needs to be , predictable but overall really enjoyable.

This review is completely based on the anime.
So what can i say about Uraboku, quite a lot in fact. The anime reeks potential which is sadly wasted for tons of what we can probably qualify as "Yuki Worship". what was literally hours of wasted screen time, was spent with the characters sitting in a room wondering if Yuki was alright or how he was doing. Story-wise well.... the story isnt bad but it isnt developed enough, literally the anime has you waiting until you reach more that half the episodes in before you get a hint of what's going on and even after the anime
...
has ended all i can really tell bout the story is that everyone of the Zealots has been reincarnated several times to fight a seemingly endless war. That's it. The art is great so i guess that's 1 redeeming factor but the opening and ending themes aren't even memorable. The characters themselves are poorly developed and little info is given about them, a few backstories, tops. Personally the biggest issue with the anime is definitely the action scenes. They weren't bad, actually they were the opposite but they too few and too late therefore personally i think most of the wasted potential comes from those. By the time you actually get to the good action scenes, your so loaded up on hours of "Yuki Worship" and potential yaoi scenes that the action loses a lot of the effect and there isnt enough to make you say," well maybe this show isnt as bad as it first seemed", because you know why? It is because by the time you start looking forward to the next episode hoping you get to see more action or more story development at least, your done and your asking yourself, " so wtf with all the new characters at the end, and wtf does it all add up to." Questions like that to give a couple. Maybe i went off on a tangent somewhere but basically, the anime wasted its potential and by the you actually start to enjoy it, your done and more than half the questions asked in the anime are unanswered. so overall i can only give it 4 outta 10 mostly cause of the great art and for the few well done action scenes

I was actually suprised that i picked this anime to watch or that i actually enjoye watching it although i still ended up asking myself if i seriously just watched and enjoyed it. Well enough blabbering.
Reveiw:
Okay so the story isnt something new, i mean lots of shows hit you with this theme, meaning: average guy today, super rich guy tomorrow. Cliche to say the least but it did well however the overall storyline does seem a bit weak later on as the animators introduced slight contrasting material but still it didnt completely kill it. i say a good 7.
The art was nicely done, and
...
i liked the character styling, however near the ending the animators seemed to forget a few frames. Despite that i say an 8
Sound, well what can i say bout the sound, not much really, would have given it an 7 or 8 but the themes absoluutely killed it, they were , well ...sometimes it was hard to remember that there was actually a theme at all.
Characters were probably the best aspect of the show, they were developed well especially the lead male and 2 of the main females while not being overly so. A 9 in my opinion.
Enjoyment. like i said, i was suprised i actually enjoyed this anime, however say so, it wasn't enjoyable to the degree of riveting you to your chair but rather something that you would enjoy a few episodes, get up do something else then continue it later. I would say it deserves a 7 to be fair. As for recommending it, i would if you want something light to watch to kill time but not if you want something engrossing and epic.
