Preliminary (4/25 eps)
The series is quite different than the original short film, the plot settings and animation team might be still the same but character and character development is absolutely piss poor.
You think this ambitious young girl Akko who aims to be a witch will struggle through hardships and become a wise powerful girl but after 3 episodes I can tell you she is absolutely detestable.
She's like your typical bias fangirl that just wants to be exactly like her idol, dress and do what her idol did, absolutely no respect towards people and even to her close friends and those who are nice to her.
She's merely been ...

Yami Shibai 4 (Anime) add
Preliminary (7/13 eps)
They've added narrations to this, which makes the whole story telling less and less immersive, and while on it, why not let the man from the intro narrate? Most narrators (they used more than one) sounds overly calming.
Story wise I've got nothing to say, although it's not super predictable like in the 3rd season, this time, it's just way too random. The episodes are already 4 minutes short with an intro and ED, there's no proper build-up. It's simply not as creepy as the first two seasons, that has the effect to chill you to the core.
Also pretty sad about the lack of perspective artwise. ...

Aki no Puzzle (Anime) add
Visually I couldn't even look at it because from the intro, the seizure footage started already flashing from black to white and back, then a series of images flashed by and my head was sending me warning messages of shutting the video down.
I peaked in between to my second screen where it was running and surely you could make out a whirl of colours and figures but the more you try to focus the more nausea took over. The BGM just made everything worse, very loud and very distorted.
The BGM got towards the end worse and worse I really had to completely look away ...

The trigger to the female main character Shirayuki meeting who she'll meet, getting into messes she'll be getting into is all because of her red hair, but in the anime you have a silver haired prince, a blue haired attendant and a dark green haired character, it makes no sense for her hair to be the solely unique one.
Apart from that, the story development is very entertaining, the anime doesn't empathise her looks too much and focuses on a good character build. But the character backgrounds of most characters are lacking or very anti-climatically explained and the protagonists don't really have an antagonist to balance ...

Ajin (Anime) add
Preliminary (4/13 eps)
It's definitely not something you've never seen, but it doesn't mean it's not good.

The main character has similarities to main characters from Parasyte and Tokyo Ghoul.
A young high school teenager being alienated from the society and struggles to adapt with his new found powers. Also the MC's voice actor is the same who voiced the MC from Death Note and both were beforehand living like an empty shell.
Art-wise I personally can't say I like 3D animation like Knights of Sidonia and Ajin in particular. It's still underdeveloped and has room for improvement, you could say it's stiff and colouring (like shading) too smooth. But ...

Preliminary (14/42 eps)
I personally don't mind the old school art but the characters are honestly just annoying af. Everybody is contradicting themselves constantly, nobody is likeable, it's Inuyasha triangle all over again (gender bendered). The character I guess you suppose you should hate it actually the one I like. Maeko stands to her words, is loyal, dedicated and headstrong. She won't back down no matter how many people get in her way and she's the complete opposite of the MC who's weak, caring, motherly, but whimsical and irresponsible for her actions.
The child is cute but overall very spoiled and selfish and just wants to couple up his ...
