3rd review. Please treat me well.
This could've been good. This could've been an actual honest-to-gods properly done good harem anime.... Where did it all go wrong???
Story: 3
This story had an interesting backdrop where a hero finished mopping up the demon lord and brought back his daughter as souvenir. So where did it go wrong?? Well first off, they started the series off right when he was leaving the fantasy realm after defeating the demon lord, therefore he was already immensely powerful, so powerful that he could potentially win every single battle, single-handedly. Here was an MC that could literally be god due to how powerful
...
he is. A good comparison would be to say that his rpg gaming level is 99. Or perhaps... "Vegeta. What does the scouter say about his power level?" "It's over 9000!" But seriously... It might as well have been that way. He may not be one of THOSE current conventional hero MCs, where they are emo edgelord "badasses" that they have a fancy sabers and wields lots of powerful spells making them pseudo mage knight or "Hero" class, because he can't use magic at all. But instead he got something else.... Something that renders magic almost completely obsolete. A martial arts ability called the Linked Energy Manipulation. Have you ever heard of the "plot armor", where a character can never truly die or know defeat? If you have, know that that ability that he wields is what I dubb with my own little coin term as the "plot sword", where an item/tool/weapon/ability is so powerful, it might as well be on the level of godlike ability that cannot be overcome. And that's exactly what that ability was. It made him... Nigh invincible. Able to perform feats that is almost on the level of Dragonball Z... So don't let that huge black sword on the cover shot of the series fool you. That's just the bait. And also despite its cool colors and whatnot, its design is pretty ugly in terms of badass looking anime swords... Anyways, his real power comes from that ability, which he even boasts it as such himself. And that makes him do a lot of things from swiping girls' underwears without them noticing or feeling a thing or him giving the beat-down to every opponent he ever faces. So if you're expecting some kind of character development or progression by walking alongside him to his goal of fame and glory? Pft. Forget it. He was already there. It's like arriving late to a party while almost everything is gone. Now it's just the slight after-party you would have to settle for. And that's what this all was. There was no serious threat or overarching story. He just came back, got enrolled into a mandatory school, just so he can fight them? And they want to see if he's the so-called "true hero"??? Anyways, this story was brought together all so poorly that when the ending came... One could be left wondering "What did I just watch? And what can I take from all of this?". Another sad thing was that he was mainly in a futuristic Japan setting where technology and society has progressed a lot esp when recognizing the existence of many other worlds/dimensions including the fantasy one that he conquered. Unfortunately the world he went back home was not much explored beyond his school. And the fantasy realm was almost left forgotten until the literal "tune-in next season" cliffhanger cliche at the end that foreshadowed its importance. But otherwise.... A complete mess.
A good potential material of a backdrop plot, don't get me wrong. But it was all done SO poorly. I mean a powerful sentient bike where it only ever accepted his father, but somehow accepted him in mere seconds and off-screen no less? WTF????
Art: 8
The art was honestly VERY good. Everything looked bright and shiny as to give off some kind of majesty or high quality. Of course, it's not on the level of a AAA anime, but it got the job done. Even the ecchi scenes were very engaging. If you know what I mean.
Sound: 4
Honestly can't remember the music. And I just watched it for the first time few weeks ago. That should tell you how impressionable it was. The voice acting and sound effects were fine I guess. But nothing that stood out and made me say "OMG!".
Character: 3
Oh here we go. Other than the story, this is the main bread and butter.
... And they utterly disappointed. His attitude is one of arrogance and confidence. But don't expect some development because he never gets into a vulnerable spot. Of course, that makes some Western audiences go all googly-eyes for a char like him that is not emo edge lord or a walking mess or sissy MC. But as such... He is not very relatable at all. He might as well be the Sylvester Stallone of anime where he can commando everything if he wants to and gets the girl in the end. Utter walking mass of muscle perfection. Which is a doubled edged sword, since not everyone is not looking for a male fantasy power trip or already perfected/flawless character. Then there is the main heroine. If you're looking for a character development there, then nope. She only falls for him like a good damsel in distress would. But she offers little to no help in terms of battles or overall plot progression. She tends to be more of a nuisance, like that the princess that keeps getting captured and you gotta go and reluctantly save. That's how "good" of a character she is. Otherwise she's worst than main heroine of other Yuusha anime, the one where the MC couldn't be a hero and instead had to get a job. Because as I said, she offers very little to the story since the MC is strong enough to protect her and save the world all in one day. So she's the titular damsel in distress while only being good for eye candy... Although she's pretty much the ONLY main eyecandy. Since like the other yuusha anime I mentioned, she shares same parallels with that main heroine Phino, where their tits are the only tits that matter. You can clearly see and witness all of the hugeness (since it's some kind of unwritten anime rule that main heroines gotta be busty as hell) and shape of their breasts, to even their nipples. But.... That leaves no room for other girls. Sure, there are other girls who get stripped, but nothing is shown that leaves less for the imagination. And worst of all is Kuzuha. She's barely to no reveal at all because of the nature of her character design (her being a small girl aka loli)
And there's not much to say about other chars since they are usually pushed off to the sideline, while the MAIN FOCUS and treat that the anime is trying to keep pushing fans towards is the MH aka Miu....
"Only Miu deserves your unworth eyes, peasants. Look upon her splendor!"
-This anime
Seriously, if you are looking for character development or plethora of nice girls being out on display as nice treats for your eyes? Too bad you only get Miu. This is not DxD or even Trinity Seven.
Enjoyment: 2
Story sucked. Character development was very little. Fanservice was so one-sided by favoring a lot towards MH. Honestly I had hoped to see more interactions with cute Kuzuha and pretty Haruka, but alas beyond that single ep of them being the main focus, it was not meant to be. And even in their "dedicated" ep, you could count on Miu to be there constantly to be the distracting main attraction that you just can't escape...
Overall: 2
Terrible... This could've been so good! This could've actually had a future more or less the same as Trinity Seven or even better. But it utterly failed...
Sad too because this hero could've prolly owned his own harem if he wanted to... If he stopped focusing too much on the MH. I mean I know they are MHs for a reason, but it give a break please. This is why anime harems are never a true thing and can never be truly realized as a harem. It's all a sham. After all, daytime/evening animes or non-hentai animes and games couldn't dare to show polygamy of all things. Therefore, stick with MH because.... They are the MH!
Anyways, as I have mentioned how the MC is fist swinging terminator commando. He was like made for Western audiences. And as such him and his pathetic series did not fare well with our Japanese counterparts and thus bombed so bad that a 2nd season is nowhere in sight. And I for one say good riddance. Even though it left the series on a cliff-hanger, I don't have much hopes or expectations out of a series and MC that is just MH crazed and obsessed. This was one of those hopeful bets that you place on with all of your spending on because it looked so promising, but it quickly became a gut-wrenching train wreck or should I say a "wrecking ball" of an anime..... This is definitely by far one of the most guiltiest pleasure animes I have ever seen. And not necessarily a good kind either. If I had to compare it to a game, this wasn't God of War. This was Gears of War... That bad.
So I suggest that whoever wishes to see a MC to not be a ssisy for once and take names and make all of the girls his hoes, then go ahead. But don't expect much beyond the MH, which he switches his laser targeting to, and any sort of good story. Because there is almost none. Just fanservice up the butt. And only plot to advance the story to make a cliffhanger to have people watch this and stay interested beyond the tits...

2nd review here so please be gentle.
Yuusha Ni Narenakat- Oh for the gods' sakes... What is with Japanese and in long anime title names????
Unlike other reviews, I'm not gonna go over the characters and summary of the story because it's in the synopsis. Besides, I'm too lazy to type that out. Thanks Review Guidelines-san.
Anyways, let's see first the story.
Story: 3
Oh where to begin. Let's see. An interesting backdrop story featuring a guy trying to be a hero, but failed to do so due to sudden changing circumstances that is beyond his control? Check. And thus having to settle for the lowest option
...
available as a store clerk? Check. He works with many busty and/or sexually appealing girls (and one dude...)? Check. A new girl arrives in town? Check. Boy meets girl? Check. The main character is a cherry boy (virgin)? Check. And he clearly acts like one? Double check.
This is one of your stereotypical harem animes where it features a very boring and bland main character that was "supposedly" designed to represents the majority of the male audiences... Like every other boring and average MCs in existence... Oh wait. Forgot to mention, they are supposed to represent the majority of JAPANESE males. And it really shows in not only their manner and upbringing, but in their flaws, too. In both the characters and writing intended for the said demographics. This is one of those guilty pleasure animes that is not supposed to be taken seriously, like the anime adaptation of High school of the Dead. But even that anime has more story and things going on than this one that I'm reviewing. The story was more or less a promising adventure medieval fantasy backdrop at the beginning, but then it quickly turned into a more modernized setting where the guy works at a retail store. A store that supposedly existed in a medieval fantasy realm.... Reason? Japanese storytelling convenience. They don't even explain how they gotten to that point of civilization either. It was just there... FOR YEARS. So it just goes on as much slice of life and glorifying Japanese culture aka the work/retail culture and industry. Like any other Working (no pun intended) or job or career animes. But again with that medieval fantasy twist. But it serves no other function other than being able to touch the medieval fantasy fetish side in people and offer a demon lord's daughter as part of the *main moe fetish dish". And it doesn't ever get serious until near the end, but even that was pointless since it was more like trying to advance the overarching story, even when there was barely any development on it, therefore made the rising development almost completely out of left field.
So you ask me for the story rating? Honestly I don't watch a whole lot of animes, but I can definitely this was one of the worst one so far. Don't come here looking for a story. It's just a fanservice anime through and through. One that sometimes flits around in trying to take itself seriously, while mostly not....
Art: 6
I don't see a whole lot of animes much lately so I can't properly rate it like one of those high end critics or even reviewers here who have tons of anime under their belt. But I can definitely say it was pretty solid, especially due to the fact that they don't rely on CG. Especially during the fight scenes. Instead they use more of the traditional cell shade animations. But that unforutanetly tends to show during fight scenes where the colors look off or bland due to the time constraints and demanding poses and scenes. But it was still solid. It was not Konosuba S2E1 launch bad....
As for the characters art, some of them looked very early 2k anime style coloring and lines, but it was not that bad. The stockings on the girls looked fantastic, but due to such, it often heavily contrasted that it sometimes catches TOO well. Oh and please don't look at their toes (swimsuit ep)....
As for the fanservice aka the boobs. .....Unable to compute. Only found Phino's completely bare chests shown MANY times throughout the entire season. Airi only reveals the nipples on her pantyhose suit, otherwise the nipples are never to be seen. Only the general shape of her breasts. As for the other girls, they sadly don't get that much level of fanservice. AT ALL. Few are even exempt such as Lore. So if you were hoping for breast and nudity and fan-service diversity, the likes of which you could see in High School DxD? Sorry. You're all fresh out of luck on that one. You gonna have to settle for the main heroine, whether you like it or not.
Sound: 4
What can I say? It was pretty much stereotypical upbeat harem ecchi anime? Thus the music fitted to it as such esp in the OP and ED theme. Worse is when it gets all serious, but then the upbeat song comes into play.....
Character: 3
Oh gods... Where to start on this one. Like any other harems, the MC is as exciting as a flattened nail on a 2x4... He may be a powerful hero candidate, but that's all his redeeming features. He has no other skills. He has nothing to offer other than being the "straight man" in many wacky situations. He may be diligent worker. But that's all he is. If you are looking for a useful character that can kick butt? Sorry, not until near the end of the season, and it's highly debatable if he's even useful or redeemable during or even after the fact.
Then for the main heroine.... Well she's one of those cheery happy-go-lucky main heroines? Welcome back to the 90s tropes. She's your titular go to character for any character development and fap material.... Because that's all she is. A bundle of fanservice served on a silver platter. She's almost the only one to let it all show. And the only one you will almost ever see. The other girls? They are all chopped liver, in terms of story, development, plot (of both kinds), and so on and so on. Them being potential love interests? Pft. Fat chance. This is one of those animes where it clearly pushes for the main ship MCxMH by beating it into your head with a stick. There's no room for anyone else. And with poor screentime and development for them, you almost won't care. Though I really cared about Airi. She had some potential here.... But another terrible that wastes away good potential characters in its own narrowsighted goal. And that goal is to promote and perpetuate the MH as the absolute perfect goddess and go-to waifu that she supposedly is. Everyone else is just a mere afterthought or slight intrigue, nothing more.
Enjoyment: 3
This was not enjoyable at all. Other than the awesome old man getting his kicks off of Nova or Airi displaying her own unique brand of fanservice in the beginning and near the end, there was nothing much to stay around for. The MC was utterly boring, the MH tends to grate on my nerves due to her constant trouble making, courtesy of her dubious upbringing and personality. And there's the fact that many of the *fights* are treated like a joke. Like the girls other than Phino, the fights were also a "afterthought" or probably made it with whatever left over budget they could squeeze for *fight scenes*. So if you were looking for DxD or any other fighting/adventure anime level of fights, nope. It left much to be desired. Especially not only how short and sudden they were but also because of strong and OP the MC and manager was... Seriously... Why was there even a fight with these strong entities?? It was almost completely one-sided.
Overall: 4
I did NOT enjoy the story or the whole progression. If it wanted to be a career slice of life anime? Then fine. Be one. If it wanted to be an adventure thriller anime like DxD or any other medieval fantasy animes (whether it has actual old medieval elements or modern elements), then also fine. Be one. But don't try to be both if you can't even execute it properly. It all fell flat in how it all integrated with each other since they don't explain how it all integrated with each other. Like it just... "was". No need to explain. Too complicated. Focus on story. Oh wait no story? Sorry forgot. Just focus on the tits please.
Personally for me, the only girl and waifu to take from all of this was Airi because she was almost the only sane girl in the entire group that wasn't a complete space case (Nova, the next door cashier), a cloud nine-walker (the manager), or loudspeakers (Ram, Phione). Although there was Lore who was the series' resident kuudere. But she gets very little screen-time other than to advance the story and plot. Otherwise she might as well not have existed. Because she didn't put on the bathing suit for the appropriate ep. She doesn't even strip at all or provide fanservice. She only gets naked for a bathhouse scene, and she still shows very little.... So honestly, the true takeaway from me that was a MH all shoved right into my face, was Airi, who honestly should've been the true MH due to how they made the ED credit animation and how she the first girl to show up when the show started. But alas, she gets pushed to the side for the "new girl in town".... So it was all a waste of time other than be able to rescue a poor character that was doomed to be neglected and adopt her and make her one of my waifus (Airi).
If you like that sort of thing or don't care for the "articles" (in other words you're here for the "plot"), then this anime is for you. Enjoy.
But if you are like me and have actual standards? Avoid this. Other than maybe seeing it for best girl Airi (completely subjective opinion)...

This is my first review so please bear with me.
A TL;DR synopsis of this series is a guy who's trying succeed his late father's company, but has to find a lover first. Twist? One of the prospects is his unknown sister.
Story - Score: 5
As far as story and plot goes...well.... This was something that hasn't been done before (the core plot theme anyways), but for some reason it kinda makes you shake your head all the same. Another interesting develop-able plot turned into another generic harem situation, which this anime pretty much is. As one of the other reviewer stated, this was
...
just a dragged out cat and mouse game. To be fair, it's supposed to do that because that's what the main plot theme was supposed to be: him trying to find a lover while to trying to avoid picking out his sister. However, he makes it plainly clear that he's trying to avoid at all costs. So people who are looking for a wincest anime? Don't get your hopes up please.
Like many wincest potential animes, they are all doomed to deliver. And this one is no exception, if his views and stance is not clear enough. This isn't a spoiler per say because honestly the majority consensus not only in the anime industry but in society in general for incest is terribly harsh. Therefore the wincest element is always just reduced to a plot device or attraction gatherer. And the true ones are tend to be very niche. Don't trust me? You can go see it for yourself.
Anyways going back to the story itself. This is a fairly paced story. It doesn't drag out too long, but in doing so it sometimes feel like it's been a little rushed at times. Also the ending will leave you perplexed due to the anime covering only a portion of the light novel it was adapted from. So honestly it's not even a finished anime. And a second season seems to be not a possibility anytime soon, so you would have to rely on the original source for the conclusion...
IF anybody decides to revive that project. It seems like it has a poor fan base, considering that the source material had already wrapped... years ago... So honestly you're probably better off having to read the wiki or scouring through the net to learn how it all ends.
Art - Score: 6
Nothing too special, nothing thought provoking nor anything that would push the envelope. Something that was nice and safe. Just your standard typical anime art style. Ecchi art style at that.
Sound - Score: 6
Like the art, your standard run of the mill music. From its opening to its ending. Pretty forgettable to most. Few of the scenes music was pretty nice almost like from a generic visual novel game or something, but that was just it. Just pretty nice.
Character - Score:5
Run of the mill characters as well. You got from your nice, kind, ideal girl to your tsunderes to rich proper lady, to the airheads... Your basic harem staple. Nothing new.
Same with the protagonist. Standard guy who's a closet perv, but is afraid and wish-washy to go far with any girls, but this time with the mystery sister as an excuse.
Enjoyment - Score: 6
Honestly I gave this a fair rating just because of the fact that even though there were times when it made me groan, it also made me chuckle a bit when things started to get a bit wild. Not in the ecchi sense, but the weird moments sense. So I don't wanna be mean and give it a poor score just because it didn't please me all the time, but that does not mean it has fully redeemed itself. Nowhere close.
Overall - Score:6
Warning: This show is not for everyone. People who like a bit of story alongside with their dish of moe and fanservice stuff rolled into a harem sushi? Then this show is definitely for you. People who expected incest. Sorry. See my story review comment above (If you all came here because of (a) certain reviewer(s) from youtube said this is incest..well..they were slightly right?). People who wanted a great, complex, mind blowing or even a concrete story? Umm.. ha ha ha... You're in the wrong section, friend... This show have deviated a bit far from it's original source to become an ecchi/fanservice guilty pleasure sin. Typical fate of good number of anime adaptations or even original creations at times.
Personally speaking that's where the whole show should've focused on. Just be your typical ecchi with some comedy moe moments at the side. At least that way it could've been another staple of the ecchi/moe genre, but instead it tried to mix both it and the original source's story in an attempt to deliver something that all fans could enjoy, resulting in a shaky mess....
All in all, it was not bad... but definitely not good. It was a stable harem series. Nothing more.
Honestly this should've been a VN (visual novel) or even a galge (gal game)... Those girls would've been perfect for that kind of stuff.
