Both are comedies that start off with the girl's confession being confused for something else by the guy. Both are 4 panel manga and are light-hearted and easy to read. There isn't really a plot, only school setting comedy and very slight romance. Both series are sure to make you laugh at each page. The characters aren't terribly similar, although the dynamic between Tomo and Junichirou reminds me of Hori and Kashima from GSNK somewhat. Still, they're all very likeable and entertaining.

Young main character first doesn't want to accept his fate as an heir to a clan (in this case, Mafia, but a family nonetheless?) but as he makes friends he wishes to protect, he relies on his newfound powers to fight off powerful enemies. Both have servants that are willing to die to protect them and in both there are clashes of powerful families against each other or also fights within the family.

i just think it has a similar feel to it, some serious fighting, but also involves a lot of comedy. :) Weird powers, magic, if you like them, then both of these shows are for you.

You'll probably like Toaru Majutsu no Index, if you liked Soul Eater and the other way round. The plot may not be similiar, but they have similar flawless graphics style, cool and funny characters. (Index sort of reminds me of Patty Thompson at some points =D) Also action and humour packed.
