Happy New Year, Yukihime! Sorry for my delayed message, I was travelling home from the holidays.

I want to say thank you so much for your anime recommendations! Hosoyan is one of my favourite seiyuu and I often go through withdrawals without his voice hahaha. The first episode of Kanata no Astra was super interesting, and I'm eager to watch more. Now that I'm home, I should be able to binge it :D (And of course, grab some clips for this year's Seiyuu School!) Vivy, I only really remember that I forgot to include it on my FAL team the season it aired, and I was very sad about it haha. I'll give that one a shot too :)

I'm glad you liked your recommendation! and even better that it met your original request as well :) You watched quite a bit of Dennou Coil, so thank you for that, I hope you like it until the end. Though to be honest I'm not sure it will get as dark as Shinsekai Yori, but hopefully you can still find other benefits to it.

I get that X didn't hook you, it's quite specific I think, but it's good that you know what you like, there's plenty of anime out there! No point in spending time on something you don't enjoy right then. Like you said, you might come back to it later or not, either is fine.

Too bad you didn't find Witch Hunter Robin, it's pretty good and I don't wanna say it's the most original one out there, but it does have its own flavour and that's nice to see. Maybe one day you can find it :)

If you're interested, I found some other anime you might like, check them out if you're in the mood and see if they're something you might enjoy. They're not on your list.

I liked "Terra e..." quite a bit, so if you're in a Sci-fi space opera mood, go for this one :D

Also sci-fi there's Casshern Sins but you said you're not a big fan of avantgarde stuff and this one is a bit weirder? And not really heavy or sensitive topics, but not really a light watch before bed either :P

There's also Urasekai Picnic, though I wouldn't call it great, but it was interesting to see the concept of the Other World and it's nice if you like an all female cast.

Mieruko-chan for when you wanna watch a comedy horror. This one was great, in my view, but not sure it quite matches what you wanted, it's good for a horror one though.

And then I had Ghost Hunt as something you might check out, it's about... ghosts :D The male character was pretty cool here, so that should be a plus for you, in case you want more supernatural anime :) sorta like a detective mixed with ghosts theme.

And lastly, if there's too many dark anime above, years ago I stumbled over Kamichu which is a very slow cute anime with some fantasy mixed in. Think middle school girls in a nice small Japanese town.

You said you want older anime, so I took the chance to throw these ones out there since they're not THAT popular and it's rare people want to watch older stuff.
