I have done many anime reviews and this will be my first anime movie review, I have been busy making a couple of anime reviews on youtube so writing one takes a little more time and effort but without further ado I give you my opinion on DBZ Wrath of the Dragon!
Story- Now not gonna lie but some of the DBZ movies have sucked the big one. Others were just very forgettable and average and yet some had brilliance. This one is one of the two I believe were the best. Wrath of the Dragon puts such an emphasis on a finally super battle. For
...
those of you who don’t like GT and have not seen Battle of the Gods, Wrath of the Dragon occurs right after the Buu saga is concluded and it is really something special. The idea of the villain was pretty genius just like the casting of a new protagonist. Is there continuity issues? A little bit but if I explained than there would spoilers and I like to keep my reviews spoiler free. It could drag on in some parts but for the majority of the movie it’s everything you wanna see, the Z fighters fighting against a huge overpowered monster with an awesome finishing technique. Solid 9 out of 10.
Art- The art was just as amazing in this movie as it is in the original DBZ. Every color and attack is crisp and bursting with beauty. I mean funimation knows what they are doing when it comes to making sure the art style is flawless. Obv. It is not the best but it is certainly amazing to gaze upon.
Sound- Same sound from DBZ, original soundtracks and same voice actors. My opinion is the DB(Z)(GT) subs suck and the dub is incredible but all the voice actors are the same for both sub and dub so no worries for those out there who haven’t seen it and want to know if the same voices they are accustomed to are in the movie.
Character- Well, there are the same characters in this as there are in DBZ so there is not too much I can say. The new protagonist added a huge emotional effect that sometimes could be lacking and the new villains were very much like Babidi and Buu with their type of controlling relationship. Other than that nothing more I could say without repeating myself from my DBZ review.
Overall this is probably a tie for the best DBZ movie. It has a lot of heart and great fighting sequences. The art is great along with the original soundtracks, it is a no brainer, if you are a DBZ fan and you haven’t seen this do yourself a favor and watch it, you will not be disappointed. This is the epitome of a fun action anime movie that you can over and over again and never get bored, final score… OVER 9000! (very overused line haha)

Cowboy Bebop, this is one show it seems most have seen. It has been regarded as one of the best anime of all time, well, I wouldn't go that far but it was definitely good. I was turned off for a while with this show because I thought it was going to be some rip-off of star wars or some Sci-Fi I didn't want to see. But I thought the same thing (except the Star Wars part) about FMA brotherhood and I ate my words. So I figured I'd give this a shot. If you are like how I was and are avoiding Cowboy Bebop
...
lemme tell ya... it's only 26 episodes make the investment, you won't be disappointed.
Story-Ok here is the deal here, the cannon story is really good. The action is amazing I couldn't believe how awesome the action scenes were. The comedy was always a plus and the mystery and deep meaning got me and will get you hooked. But in the middle of the amazing story are a bunch of side adventures that you can call filler. Don't get me wrong the filler doesn't suck, but compared to the cannon and it kinda is pointless. There were some filler that was pretty amazing but others were a drag to get through and at the end of the filler episodes it doesn't leave anyone hanging which makes it tough to get through the filler and get back to the cannon in a short amount of time. Maybe you or others don't agree remember this is my opinion but some of the filler isn't worth it.
Art- The art was an older style of art, this was a 90's anime so it is what one would expect. Of course not the best art I've seen but it works with the story. The fight scenes are really well animated and everything has their own distinct look. Props on the animators job well done.
Sound- The sound was amazing, everything fit just where it should have been, every soundtrack was perfect. When it was a sad moment the music made me feel that much more sad and the same is for happy and intense and all other possible emotions. The opening was amazing, such a catchy beat. I watched this in Dub because of the love for this show in Dub so I took popular opinion and watched this Dubbed and the voices were done so well. Even the extras were really well done when in some anime the extras have really bad voice acting skills. If I were to give the sound one piece of criticism it would be i didn't like the ending. There aren't many endings I like anyway for some reason but it is no reason to drop a level.
Characters- It's characters like those of Cowboy Bebop that makes one cherish anime. The characters aren't even developed in the beginning (for mystery of course) and little by little you learn more and more. If that bugs you trust me the show makes up for it with how bad ass everyone is. The villain although has kind of a stupid name, is so epic along with Spike and the crew that you wish you knew these guys in real life.
Overall besides lack luster episodes the show was a truly great. You get hooked from the start with awesome action sequences, you meet knew people good and bad that make the show so damn good, and the Dub and sound is incredible. I can understand why people regard this as one of the best shows of all time. Personally it does not crack my top 5 but it would absolutely get my #7 spot behind Rurouni Kenshin. It was truly a show I could watch again, and oh by the way, the movie is probably the best anime movie I have seen to date, yeah, it was that good. But Cowboy Bebop is a show worth watching and I promise you will like it,

Um, i honestly don't know why or how i came upon this anime or whatever this was. I was completely dumb enough to say "oh how bad could one minute be?" well, it's one minute i will never get back...
A clay world with clay people have dinner and the dude purposes and she shits out of her mouth and he shits out of his and they smile and accept each other as they are. Don't watch this, if you learned anything from this don't watch it, ugh i'm going to lay down and try to dream of something not appalling

I'm on a Rurouni Kenshin addiction right now. I've done a review on its prequel, the original story, its two specials which can be technically called sequels and now this so it's safe to say, I enjoy Rurouni Kenshin. Before you have my head I know this does not follow the manga and everyone who has read it wants to shit on this OVA. This review is for people who don't read manga like me (just not a fan) or people who want to watch this anyway.
Story- What's there to say. The first part is 95% flashback that you have already seen from the original
...
series but remastered. The remastering is cool the flashbacks though are kinda unneeded. The second part gets way more interesting. There is a villain, from way back (SPOILER if you haven't seen trust and betrayal don't read ahead) Trust and Betrayal that brings the show from its very beginning full circle. There is one problem. WITH THE LONG FLASHBACKS IT MADE THE AWESOME FIGHT AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT WITH THIS ANTAGONIST SHORTER!!!!!!! If they were to spend more time with the fight and less with the freakin flashbacks this OVA would be a hands down 10. After that it gets disappointing and very sad. I won't ruin the ending for those who have read this far anyway but it is sad and this is what got a lot of the manga lovers furious.
Art- Everything was remastered and it looked amazing!!!! The fights were remastered as well in the flashbacks and everything was so crisp it was quite a triumph and I enjoyed the art a lot.
Sound- Same sound from the original show so no complaints here.
Character- This is interesting. Although a lot of people hated the ending I didn't mind it. I thought it was a decent way to end but other than that each character (mostly) had their time to shine one final time. The one villain was so well done and Kenshin goes back to the Kenshin from Trust and Betrayal so that was interesting but it kinda took away from the realism. Yahiko and Zano had their time to shine with Kenshin's old master Kenshin's child and Kaoru of course. One problem is they left some awesome people out and of course the nameless villain didn't have good development thanks to an apparent and once again unneeded time restraint on the OVA but all in all very good.
For all those who want to ring my neck for enjoying this OVA it's just my opinion and I see where you are coming from, there are flaws. But for real Kenshin lovers and those who want an ending but not wanting to read the manga this is a good investment of your time. It is a real tear jerker and finally my Rurouni Kenshin experience is complete, that it is.......

THIS IS WHAT I WAS MISSING IN MY RUROUNI KENSHIN EXPERIENCE AND ANYONE WHO HAS NOT SEEN THIS NEEDS TO WATCH IT. It is 3 minutes long and provides an ending after the original series. I'm not even going to break this down because it is 3 minutes long but basically if you like Rurouni Kenshin then you will enjoy this. If you hate Seisouhen because you know the whole manga situation with it then this is for you because that is why this 3 minute special was created... for those who wanted a more manga based ending. 3 minutes it took and I was
...
about to be in tears because it was a genius idea with the beautiful music and everything. You can either replace Seisouhen with this or finish Rurouni Kenshin, watch the special episode 95 watch this 3 minute special and then watch Seisouhen and have a complete Rurouni Kenshin experience. This is for haters of Seisouhen and lovers of the greatest Samurai character ever... that it is...
(Literally this is on YouTube no need to search everywhere to find it)

No one has written a review for this so why not be the first?? Many people count this as part of the original anime, many people also probably think it is pointless to write a review of one small episode but I will write a review for those who are curious. Don't worry this will be quick.
Story- This is a ending of the original Rurouni Kenshin. There is no fighting and that is totally ok. I'm going to assume you have been watching or probably finished Rurouni Kenshin and are either wondering if you hould watch this or not or to compare feelings towards this.
...
The whole 3rd season of Rurouni Kenshin was filler and this is a filler ending but it works. Everyone gets their time to shine and the love interests get stronger so nothing to complain about the story. It's as good of a story as you can get without conflict of any kind.
Art- The art... I'm giving this a 10 because I think the site I used was weird. The art was the same as the original story for the most part but there was a couple of scenes that were real life. Kenshin was walking a actual beach, there were real waves and a real sky sometimes it got me confused. Maybe it was the site which is my thinking. If it is not than the people who made the special are weird haha.
Sound- Exactly the same ost's as the original.
Character- Same as the original
So this special was good to say the least. Word of advice. If you are currently watching Rurouni Kenshin or the prequel and you hate filler go straight from episode 77 to this special and you will have a great ending that leads you up to Seisou-Hen the final OVA. So this isn't bad not at all, it was a nice ending to an almost perfect anime... almost. Give this episode a shot.

(NO SPOILERS! If you have not seen the Prequel to this anime there will be no spoilers either)
This is my first review in a while and my last one was not very popular so I'm going to do this review as best I can. First off, if you have not seen this show at all including its prequel do yourself a favor, watch the prequel first, it will give you a much better experience watching the show after. Also, if you have seen the prequel and have not but are going to start the main story know that 10 years has passed and Kenshin
...
is not very serious which may take some time for someone who watched the prequel first to adapt to.
Story- This story is about a wandering Samurai who has a dark past and refuses to kill because he wants to repent for past sins. His weapon of choice is a reverse blade sword meaning the inside of the sword is sharp and lethal and the out side is dull and full of blunt force. He meets a girl (as always) and she wants him to stay with her at her dojo and of course he accepts. The first couple episodes are mainly for character development. You meet Kenshin and Kaoru and the Doctor and his granddaughters. Then you meet Yahiko who becomes Kaoru's apprentice and then Zano/Sanosuke a bounty hunter who changes his ways. The whole first season is about mini arcs with really important villains and some great fights. The filler is good filler, it provides character development which makes it enjoyable. The humor is really good and also makes the first season very good. The second season is a masterpiece, more characters are introduced, there is a main villain, the story is complex and dark and those who have seen the prequel go "OH MY GOD!!!! I UNDERSTAND". Everything was going great and I changed my rating from 9 to a 10 and then the 3rd season came along. It is all filler. The first arc was a masterpiece but the rest was unneeded. The anime caught up to the manga so they needed the filler but then the show was cancelled and what ever happened after was put into Seisou-Hen the final OVA series to end the show. The story is genius for the most part but the last 20 episodes are pretty average so if I were you, watch up until episode 77 then skip to the special ending (episode 95) and you will be totally happy with yourself.
Art- Even though the art looks like a 90's anime, it works so well with the show. It is about imperial Japan in the 1800's, it's supposed to have a vintage look and it pulls it off so well. The battles are amazingly done and everything looks so phenomenal no complaints.
Sound- The sound was amazing!!!!! It was that old type of music and then the battle theme was great and the sad soundtracks amplified the feelings of the characters. The openings and closing were not that bad, they were actually catchy. I would have liked to get more than 3 openings though so if you are the type of person that likes different opening every 15 episodes might as well skip the openings after you had your fair share of the songs. I watched this in Dub because I don't like it when there is a woman voice for a character that is a grown man, I'm not sexist, I just want it to be somewhat realistic. Anyway, the Dub was great... kind of. Those who were important in the overall story or an arc of the story the Dub was great, pointless one episode characters had awful Dub. It was bad acting at the finest but it is something easy to overlook but you cant ignore it.
Character- The characters in this show are the ones that stay with you forever. Kenshin is the most moral badass I have ever watched on screen and I really thought those two traits could not go together but I was wrong. The side characters were just as enjoyable and added depth to not only the story but to the main characters themselves because of love interests and danger etc. There is plenty of character development even with the villains and the way the story is told and how the characters are portrayed show how in war there really is no hero and villain, everyone gets hurt and everyone fights for their beliefs and many of the antagonists have good reason for the "bad" they do. If I were to say a flaw, it's that Kenshin most of the time is overpowered. There are about 6 antagonists out of a hell of a lot more that give Kenshin a hard time so it gets old when you see Kenshin own people but in the same sense it makes the tougher fights seem even more epic.
So this was a long review, hope you stayed through the whole thing... To sum it up watch this after its prequel for a better experience, watch up to episode 77 if you hate filler and then skip to 95 but if you are engrossed in the show the episodes after 77 are not that bad, and be prepared for epic fights and characters that you would go through hell and back to protect. Rurouni Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Romantan is the best samurai anime that has ever been shown in my opinion and is a must watch "That it is" (for those who have seen the show you know where that line comes from)

I've done a review on both DBZ and DBGT so now after careful consideration I have finally figured out what to say about the original series. I'm going to try my best not to compare this with Z and GT because in this case it doesn't matter, at the end though I will make a final statement as if DB, DBZ, and DBGT were all the same show as I like to think of it.
Story- This was hard to rate. In Dragon Ball there are so many different arcs and points in the show. There's the beginning and training, then to the Red Ribbon Army
...
and General Tao, then the Demon King and world tournaments etc. (those were in no particular order). Each arc brought its own comedy to the story along with development and action. I think the fights were really well done; however, the story gets very slow at times and I feel there are some really boring episodes especially at the start but it does make up for itself with its adult humor. I don't think everyone can enjoy it; it's for the majority of anime fans but there will be some who hate the story and that's fine but at least give it chance. There's a sense of nostalgia and popularity that one must watch a show of this popularity, it's not awful it's quite good but not the best.
Art- Oh boy, first off I say this a lot in my reviews I really do not care about the quality of the art. If the story and characters are amazing and the art was worse than a kindergarten drawing the show still has a potential of being a 10 only if the other main components are amazing of course. Anyway, you can tell the art and animation of this show is really old. In the beginning the show looks very dirty almost and it's quite sloppy but hey, you don't complain about classic movies with amazing story having bad art because the story is amazing so yea the art is lack luster but, it was made in the 80's so it has an excuse for anyone who hates bad art. Take the show for what it is if you hate bad art, try not to compare it to your favorite anime or favorite work of art if you don't like Dragon Ball's art because if you don't compare you will enjoy the show a million times more.
Sound- Here is something that can bug me. The action sequences have good sound to it. The songs and scores are enjoyable. The Dub voices can drive me crazy and not all of them, it is the screechy whinny child voices that drive me crazy. I hate the kid voices in the show, it's like nails on a chalkboard. The Sub I do not prefer either because there is something about the Dragon Ball franchise Sub I cannot get in to. Other than the child voices all the other English voices are very well portrayed so no complaints there.
Character- I love these characters. First off Tien and Yamcha are not weaklings this whole show they are actually heroes. The character development is really good since Goku turns into a teen/man towards the end and becomes a lot stronger. Roshi and a lot of the other characters get bigger times to shine than of DBZ (sorry that time I needed to compare). All in all an easy 10 for the characters there is every type of character- Comedic relief, great twisted villains, old pervert, best friends, and the hero of all heroes, Goku himself.
Overall, it is a very well done show with flaws. It's nostalgic and funny with good fights but it can get boring. The child voices are torture but the fights make up for it. For someone who has watched DBZ and didn't like it that much maybe rated it below a 7 I would take caution before deciding to watch Dragon Ball. For those who love DBZ but hate GT trust me when I say even though I think people who don't like GT don't see the bigger picture (it's not incredible but it doesn't blow) watch Dragon Ball because it is better. For those who want to get into the Dragon Ball universe and have not started I can say you can start with Dragon Ball and probably not be disappointed but of course, the choice is yours. Dragon Ball is a solid 8 and now since I have done my review on all 3 parts of the DB franchise I can proudly say the Dragon Ball franchise is the 3rd best show of all time and it comes highly recommended to anyone who likes anime because of humble fun beginnings such as this.

Death Note is beyond popular and I knew that eventually I would watch it because of its popularity. I was actually planning on watching other anime before Death Note then I got a message on my profile asking me about watching Death Note so I said screw it I’m watching it now. My oh my, what a good choice that was for me, hell of a show.
Story- I rated this a 9 when probably everyone would rate the story a 10. Not to spoil anything but the only reason this was not a 10 is because I would want a different ending, and that is
...
all I will say. Some people are going to love the ending others are not. Other than that this was my first anime I have watched where there is no fighting. I don’t care obviously but it does such a good job hooking you episode after episode without flashy fight scenes so props on that. The mind games are so intriguing that I think the writer of the show is a genius himself. Everything was put together so well it is a true masterpiece.
Art- because this show is relatively new the art is outstanding. Everything is so crisp and the colors are outstanding. The characters look incredible in particular the Shinigami. I feel that art can never take away from an anime but it can always contribute to one and this art definitely contributes. No complaints here.
Sound- Ok here is where I could get some hate. In my opinion the Dub was fantastic and I’ve heard nothing but good from the Sub. The soundtracks during the show are really good and make you feel whatever the characters feel; that is always a good thing. But, I cannot stand when an anime has a bad opening and bad ending song. This happened twice for this anime. Both openings and endings are really bad and I contribute that as a part of the Sound category. If you don’t than lemme tell ya that the sound would have been a 10 for me if I didn’t count he songs. Just my opinion.
Character- I don’t think anyone can argue that the characters in here are amazing. I will always appreciate a good villain/anti-hero. In my opinion one must have an amazing villain/anti-hero to really make a show/movie worth ones time and Death Note delivers. The characters all contribute and even the ones you think are expendable and you will not see them again well, think again; always remember everything about the characters because they are bound to come back and serve a bigger purpose. Light the main character was amazing in very way and yet so twisted and I love twisted. I’m not twisted haha not even close it’s something enjoyable to watch. There is never a moment in the show where you heart is not pounding because of character tension.
Overall Death Note is the most unique anime I have ever seen and the most suspenseful one at that. I enjoyed all characters and their interactions with each other. I love the moral struggle between two different views of justice. I think this is one of the few anime that ANYONE can enjoy, a solid 9, amazing show.

I have not done a review in awhile and the reason for doing a review on such a popular anime is that I've checked a lot of random peoples profile to get anime inspiration as well as to compare and only about 40% had seen Naruto!!! This is not including those that dropped it or put it on hold etc. but how does one not attempt to watch it?! Obv. it is not for all people but here's my review anyway.
Story- It's your classic underdog story that a lot of people can relate with. Let's face it, people in America can be very cruel to
...
others that openly express their love for anything unorthodox. This is a anime full of struggle and perseverance, the message is so clear and motivating it's just as motivating after watching one of the Rocky movies (If for some reason you don't like Rocky make another analogy for something that pumps you up and it's equivalent to Naruto). The comedy is pretty good and they do not repeat the same jokes so that is a blessing. Why wasn't this a 10? Well I will tell you that the huge problem with this and its sequel is the damn FILLER! The filler is pretty awful not gonna lie. Trust me when I say do not quit the show because of it; worst comes to worst google where the filler ends and start from that ep. and skip all the filler; it's more enjoyable that way.
Art- The art is good, not great. The fights, characters, justu and all the other effects look cool but in the original Naruto it's much less crisp. The colors are not as powerful as they could be and maybe it gives it a cool vintage feel but this is all about preference.
Sound- This deserves a freakin 10! The soundtrack is easily something you can download to your i-pod it's so catchy. Every opening is great. I do not know why but I really do not listen to a lot of enjoyable ending songs, honestly I can think out of all the anime I have seen I only enjoy 4 ending songs. This show doesn't have great endings. That is not why I did not rate it a 10; it is because of the Dub. I have seen this show with both languages and lemme tell ya, the Dub gets very obnoxious. Sub is the way to go.
Character- This show has more development than a teenager. Important people can die remember that it is not all sunshine and rainbows. The heroes you will love and the villains are beyond dark and evil and you will love to hate them. Enough said...
Overall a nostalgic, easily rewatchable funny action packed anime. If you haven't seen it please do yourself a favor and watch it. Skip the filler and enjoy the fun ride Naruto will take you on. And.... it is part of the current big 3 if you count Naruto and Shippuden the same show as I do... just saying...
