This will be my first review on myanimelist.net, so don't expect a good one. Here we go
I'll break this review up into 4 parts:
Story
Art & Sound
Characters
Uruse-e Baka!
Story:
Kaguya-sama was Kokurasetai?: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen has a weird yet interesting story, It's funny but it can rarely be taken seriously but that doesn't really matter in my opinion, I didn't come here for the drama, I came here for the comedy, If I came for the drama, I wouldn't have given this a 10/10. But when there is drama, It almost always succeeded, especially Episode 11 from this season, that one really nailed the drama part, so
...
well that I will give that episode its own section in this review.
I really like it that they end every segment with: "The result of today's battle: *Insert Character* *Insert Result*, I think it's was episode 6 but I loved that they added some random Shoujo segment after the ending theme, speaking of which, let's move on to the next segment of this review:
Art & Sound:
The art & sound of an anime isn't really as important to me as the story and characters, so I'll keep this section short and simple. The art is great, way better than the first season. And as for the sound, The OST isn't really anything special besides the opening, I love DADDY-DADDY DO!! I think I like it more than Love Dramatic, Love Dramatic is incredible as well of course. I skipped the ending most of the time so I don't really have an opinion on that one.
Characters:
The characters are really what made this show so incredible for me, beside one guy (I'll talk about him in the next segment) I like every character in this series, here is my opinion about all the major characters in one sentence
Shinomiya Kaguya: Surprisingly enjoyable for a tsundere
Shirogane Miyuki: I don't know what I have to say, I just like him.
Fujiwara Chika: Can be annoying sometimes, but overall just a funny girl.
Ishigami Yu: Best boi, the best character in this series, and probably in contention for my favourite anime character of all time.
Iino Miko: Annoying at first, liked her after the election day episode, and I love how she always comes in at just the wrong moment
Hayasaka Ai: My second favourite character in this series. Hey! Hey! Shi-No-Miya-san.
Shirogane Kei: Most realistic younger sister in anime ever.
That's all so on to the next section
Uruse-e Baka!:
The 11th episode of this season is easily the best in this series and probably my favourite anime episode ever. First of all, it's about my favourite character in this series, and the best about that, it covers his backstory, This backstory is incredible and very relatable, I would've done exactly the same to that Ogino guy, maybe even something worse, the ending of this backstory is perfect, Urese-e Baka! and even after the backstory it stays incredible, Everyone cheering him on, him saying Urese-e Baka! to Otomo and her reaction on that, and him seeing the cheer club as good people and finally revealing their eyes (although Onodera already had eyes in a previous episode). The animation and sound direction in this episode were amazing and I can probably talk all day about this episode but that would be a waste of time for you guys. So I only have to say one thing: Uruse-e Baka!
Thanks for reading this review. I hope you enjoyed it and goodbye.
