I was very excited to see an anime about skating, though the more I watched, the more it derailed from actual skating. The story doesn't have much going for it. It's so painfully predictable to the point where nothing surprises you. The only reason I can imagine why someone is into this show is the characters. Most are well done and likable. The character development is good, and you can really see the growth. Art was enjoyable in this anime, and the sound wasn't bad either, although I wouldn't go as far as others to say it was great. Now the enjoyment. I didn't
...
like it. I thought that the concept of the S and beef's was cringe and that they clearly didn't know anything about skating. It would almost seem that the skating was added to make the show more "cool" and "relatable," so, in the end, all it has going for it are the characters and maybe art.

Story: The Idea of this anime is original and entertaining, but the execution could've been better. There's a lot of themes this show touches on, but in the end, you won't get more than a romance drama with some hard-to-watch action at the end. When you look into the grand scheme of things, this anime showcases an exciting concept, a world in which carnivores and herbivores live in peace, though later we discover the truth: the world is corrupt. This well-thought-out concept is hardly ever discussed, and the main focus of the series is the relationship between Haru and Legoshi. As the story progresses, we
...
get some drama happening and not a creative one. A freshmen girl joins, sure it is entertaining, but it feels very effortless. In the final few episodes, the show goes downhill really fast. Not only it's painfully unrealistic, but it drives away from the story, making it almost like a different show and hardly enjoyable.
Art: Both the art and the animation style is unique. At first, the animation felt kind of laggy, but I got used to it, and later I didn't mind it at all. I think the 3D art only made the whole experience better, and I don't have any complaints here.
Sound: I'm not the best person to judge this, but if I had to say something about this, I'd say it's average. Yes, sometimes there were moments when the growling and the breathing made a situation seem more serious, but overall I wasn't blown away. Also, the soundtracks for this show were forgettable.
Characters: First of all, the main character. Legoshi is very introverted, in fact so much that most words we hear from him are from his monologues. I'm not a big fan of him, but I get that the goal was to make a relatable high schooler. Other characters like Juno, Luis, and Haru are much more complex and have more personality. Not everyone will take a liking to them, but their interactions are undeniably fun to watch.
Enjoyment: While watching, I didn't mind some of the logic gaps, but looking back, I have to acknowledge the many flaws of this anime. I was a fan until the last few episodes, which, to be honest, kind of ruined the show for me. Anyway, give it a try, you very well might like it.
Overall: Decent show, with great art but a terrible ending.

Story: Everything went wrong right from the start. The plot being Kaneki, who lost his memory, becoming a ghoul investigator, took everything slightly enjoyable from the prequels and ruined it. There's no build-up, everything happening throughout the first 10 episodes is so painfully bland- from the action scenes, which are getting repetitive, to the just horrible story development. In the last two episodes, we're supposed to get emotional from seeing characters we've never seen before die. A Tokyo ghoul classic. In conclusion, the story is one of the worst I've seen so far while adding a terrible execution to it.
Characters: I could describe all the
...
characters from the prequels with one word: ruined. Shu had a big part in this season and I wouldn't mind that at all as long as he'd stay the way he was portrayed in the prequels, but no, he's just been an annoying addition to the story, which at the end didn't matter at all. All the new characters were so generic. I'd guess that the intention behind it was to make characters so that everyone could relate. But the backstory we were given felt like there was no effort put behind it, which made it only worse in the bigger picture.
Art: I can't hate on the art. It's nothing special, but it is one of the few enjoyable parts of the whole.
Sound: This time around the sound was so unremarkable and left no impression on me, unlike in the original Tokyo Ghoul series.
Enjoyment: None. I say this with great sadness, but don't watch this anime, even if youre just trying to complete the whole like me. This comes from someone who enjoyed both the prequels, but this is nothing but a waste of your time. Even writing this review was such a pain, because I had to relive the whole experience again. I feel nothing but disgust towards this.

Characters:
MC Tsutsui is a poorly portrayed otaku, who has only one friend, no social life, and overall bad experience in school, since he's looked down at by his peers, and yet to him everyone else is just another normie he has no interest in talking to. I've got the impression that the characteristics, which were meant to make you like him, aren't impressive nor unusual. For instance, his ability to forgive, to me looks like just him being spineless.
Iroha, a popular girl that our creepy MC Tsutsui, after spending detention together decides to stalk, falls in love with him
...
because she finds him kindhearted. Also, she has only limited time to spend here, so for her, he's just a toy to play with from the start, where if the show went with this premise, I would like it way more. Instead, they start dating...
Side characters in this show aren't doing it any good (with few exceptions). Some are very annoying, others too bland.
Story:
Tsutsui has trouble recognizing when is his girlfriend upset, and how he upset her. It would almost seem that Iroha wants to break up because the reasons behind her storm-outs are most of the time stupid. And that is the whole plot- Tsutsui trying to make up with Iroha.
Art:
The art in this anime is pretty much flavorless which isn't adding to the experience. The animation on the other hand seems to be even worse. And it's hard to come up with words that would describe how I truly feel about it.
Sound:
I have only once gone through the whole opening, and then every time, I just heard a small pace, instantaneously skipped. Other than that It didn't leave any impressions on me. The sound in this anime just isn't very good.
Enjoyment:
I'm don't want to see another cliché rom-com, that lacks the comedy aspect, and the romance side doesn't bring anything new to the table either. If anything this is even worse, because of the unlikeable main character. I'm sure somebody will find this enjoyable because there's an audience for these types of shows. But for me or just anybody, who is not satisfied with shows that have close to no thought put into, is hard to enjoy this.

The reason I finished this anime and not just dropped it, is bacause of its great sound -both opening and ending, screams, cracking bones and joints and lots of other cool stuff... The art is also very good except for the stupid censorship during the fight scenes.
The lack of character development is what really ruined this anime for me (there were some characters that I felt like they got robbed of the spotlight, because there was no backstory given, therefore no way of anyone getting excited about them). Also the story... What a waste of a great
...
premise... During the show you can just feel that something is missing, that something is not being shown to you. I would compare this to jumping off of a plane, but instead of expiriencing the fall, you just end up smashed on the ground. The best of it was cut out.
Nothing really stands out for me, except of previously mentioned sound and art. Anyhow I still recommend watching this show to form your own opinion. And if you try hard enough to fill in the gaps some characters are interesing.
