This season was kinda disappointing. Coming from Season 1 — which I think was easily the strongest of the three — this latest season felt like a big step down. If I had to rank them, this one would be at the bottom. As someone who’s read ahead in the manga, it felt like the anime dragged out scenes unnecessarily, with a whole lot of nothing happening for 23 minutes straight. Episodes felt more like setup than actual progression, and that really killed the momentum.
Story-wise, it wasn’t anything new or particularly engaging. A lot of it felt predictable, and not in a comforting or fun

way. I usually enjoy slow-burn plots or quieter, introspective arcs, but this just felt like filler. There wasn’t enough tension or emotional payoff to make the slower pace worth it.
The characters also didn’t help. Some of the development from previous seasons seemed to stall here. Characters who once had depth and internal conflict either felt flat or were sidelined completely. A few new characters were introduced, but they didn’t bring much to the table — more like placeholders than meaningful additions. It also didn't help that the reactions to major events often felt either overblown or totally underwhelming, making it hard to stay emotionally invested.
The art style remained consistent, and while it fits the overall tone of the series, it didn’t do anything particularly impressive this season. The animation quality was okay, but there were definitely moments that felt static or cheaply produced, especially during slower dialogue scenes.
I think some people might still enjoy this season if they’re really into the world or just want to see how everything unfolds, but for me — especially having read the manga — it felt like a season you could almost skip and not miss much. Hopefully, the next season picks up the pace and brings back the intensity and character depth that made the earlier seasons so good.
